  1. It's cool looking and i'm sure it will be a fun ride. The keyhole is pretty bad a**.
  2. A nice slow inversion would be cool but it's not gonna be there, at least I don't think so. This ride does have a couple cool rolling elements. Can anyone tell if the two entrance rolls are the same or opposing directions of rotation.
  3. It's really going to add to the thrill factor when entering the parking lot. Of course I drive the perimeter road and that's pretty exciting too. I love bringing new people to the park and seeing the expression on their face when we drive the perimeter road.
  4. A pretty advanced design I hope, cause those guys build some wild track. RMC is poised to become a real player
  5. One thing I absolutely love is that what at first glance appeared to be the proverbial loop after a drop, is actually the afformentioned Immelman, which is so great. No loops and lots of rolls is what the wingrider design needed IMO. The exit to the Immelman serves as a bit of a traditional drop and that airtime hill, if it delivers, and that is a huge if because they will probably trim it, would be the best in the park. It does have a long way to go from there to the brakes so we might be carrying enough speed to make it nice and poppy. The more I look at it closely the more it's growing on me, at least as much as a new B&M looper can. This ride is considerably more imaginative than WIld Eagle. There is definitely some potential here, they just have to let it roll without trims.
  6. I hope it's considerably better than Wild Eagle. I would like to know who has ridden a wingrider and is excited about this ride. It is going to look a lot better over in that corner of the park and is a huge upgrade over DT.
  7. Kumba for sure if your talking start to finish. Kumbas intensity actually affects me a little where nothing else does. Manta's pretzel is quite intense in the back there is no doubt and raptors helix will put the screws to ya too
  8. Thanks for posting the report. I just got back from Dollywood as well and I had Thunderhead as easily the best ride in the park with Mystery mine being second. I loved the whole area up there, we satyed about 2 hours away in Brevard and it was killer.
  9. White Lightning . I guess my current "home" park is Sea WOrld Orlando, so...Manta...I guess. Around here it gets a little blurry. I have no clear cut home park nor a favorite ride as they are all good and all not great.
  10. One WIngrider and one coaster thats good maybe? I kid, but they only have so much money to spend so probably not on the dueling. I could see them building a WR and a kiddie coaster. Would there be any way they would lie about the up-coming capital investment? I have to admit, I am caring about this less since riding Wild Eagle. I certainly didn't hate it but I don't think Cedar Points line-up is screaming for a Wingrider. I know for fact an Intamin woodie would kick ass on that beach for the next 20 years and be in the top 10 easily. Whatever WIngrider they build will be hard pressed to be better than Raptor.
  11. It really has changed a lot. I hope the keep the Fireball, thats a really good ride. The one they bring to the Volusia county fair is called a StreetFIghter I think and I actually like that one better. I have never been on a small Screamin Swing but it looks pretty good too. To me, the Vekoma seems like to big of an attraction (cost wise) for that park. 7 million plus for a family coaster seems way to high. You could do a lot of good flats for that amount.
  12. Fun Spot has added some nice clear renderings of the final (possibly) layout for the park. Some of you guys could help out with the id's on the flat rides. Looks like they made some changes with the kart tracks, maybe the one in the back corner will now be the tall one with the green one being less tall but with a new course. No changes with the coaster, thankfully, other than the color scheme of the 2 coasters has switched at some point. Anyone got an idea about the covered area in the waterpark, is that covered eating or maybe a bandshell?
  13. I am proud of you guys, very solid effort. Glad you had a good time.
  14. Lotan-the Gate Keeper. It would be cool if they created a protecter for the park.
  15. I might be a dork but I like Gate Keeper, that would be a cool name for a place like Cedar Point. Build something bad a** and call it Gate Keeper.
  16. Damn, that is a big Star Flyer. It makes me wonder how big these things will eventually get. Ours is 240 and it'll make ya a bit shaky.
  17. ^It's ok to laugh...if you are a total sicko. The dude had to be pulled off which is nearly funny, I mean it's obviously not but...ouch. He could have thought you had to operate the ride like the IT. But seriously cut it out, it's not funny.
  18. I can see how that would be cool when you are not expecting it, I could be on that all day. I am in Orlando so...well we have basically everything.
  19. This looks great. White Lightning will be a nice addition to Orlando.
  20. Child birth is kind of a water slide so...granted it's slow as hell. If you are giving out passes, I was born at Cowabunga Bay.
  21. I was by the park and didn't see much going on, they were slammed though. Behind the counter are a couple posters I had not noticed. They show the themes of both coasters, White Lightning is a train theme with a train station and blue and yellow retro looking trains, Rocket Man is the invert and is a space aged theme. There has been no progress in the lot other than cutting the grass. I won 3800 coupons at Dave and Busters, that's a freakin ton and my best ever. A coin avalanche was the reason for the windfall. I am saving on my card for the mother of all redemtion center purchases. WIld tangent there, sorry.
  22. I dont think there's any way the wheels can track through those bolts.
