  1. Sorry answered the wrong question, went to the beach about a year ago...same question still applies though
  2. About 4 years ago (place in Roanoke, VA) When was the last time you rode Big Thunder Mountain? (any)
  3. Gentlemen...does the phrase TMI mean anything to you???
  4. I think several people here have already stated that it should have been longer...much longer...like add another hour to it. Things were skipped that should't have been and key plot points rearraged or left out for god knows what reason. I didn't care for it at all, and that's a shame becuase all of the movies so far have been at least decent. I like David Yates, I think his visual style was appropriate to the tone of the book, I just think the new scriptwriter botched the adaptation...badly. The one good thing I will say about the movie was that Evanna Lynch was spot on as Luna Lovegood, I LOVED her. And all I have to say about Imelda Staunton is the first time she did Dolores Umbridge's "hem hem" in the court room, I litterally jumped and wanted to wretch...
  5. Officially? I think PKD on the 15th of august (and then BGE the day after that). But I'm sure I'll hit up USF/IOA or disney between here and there.
  6. Ok, against my better judgement I'm posing here about this because I genuinely want to know if this is true or not. I was talking to a cast member friend of mine and we were talking about epcot and then the haunted mansion. I told him I thought it was odd that they would close one of their flagship attractions in the middle of the summer. His response definitely piqued my interest. He said the reason they're doing that is to not only give our (WDW) haunted mansion DLR's upgrades (something about a digital seance among other things) and a much needed refurb, but to also, finally, after all these years, give us the Nightmare before christmas enhancements over the holidays. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Serious responses only PLEASE.
  7. Watching people drive up and throw money at me... I work at a drive thru in a bank.
  8. As far as OOTP goes, Rowling repeatedly refers to Umbridge as "toad like" and I think her physical appearence contributes to the repulsiveness of her character. When I first say Imelda Staunton in costume I thought of someone's sweet little Aunt Sally or something (complete with the pink cardigan) so it's good to know she's appropriately repulsive. Apparently David Yates (OOTP director) is coming back for Half Blood Prince too.
  9. Is there supposed to be something there, cuz all that does it hurt my eyes...ugh...
  10. The giant wand and the word "Epcot" over top of the sphere is what's coming down. If you've seen old pictures of Epcot from the 80s or 90s, the sphere alone gives the entrance a very majestic (even mysterious) feel. This stupid prop totally ruins that.
  11. If you notice on IMDb it displays the mysterious JJ Abrams movie as having the "fake working" title Cloverland. Wouldn't it be just like him to release a movie without a title? Whatever it was, it looked incredible. As far as Transformers goes, what else can I say that hasn't been said? It is one of the most entertaining movies I've seen in a LONG time. LOVED it.
  12. WOOOHOOO!!! (does happy dance) I'll chime in and say I'm very glad it's finally coming down. That being said I'm very curious to see what the rehab will look like, as it was very badly in need of one. Hmm...first Haunted Mansion and now Spaceship Earth...looks like the classics are getting the makeover they deserve finally.
  13. If I had to choose one, I'd say BK over Mickey Ds. I know I'm in the minority in this but I actually like BK's breakfast better. As a rule I don't eat fast food hamburgers with the exception of whataburger (excellent burgers) and another chain out of DC called Five Guys Burgers and fries. Best burgers I've ever had and props to anyone who knows who they are.
  14. Honestly man, if I were you I would do a search of the forums, I think you will find more than enough info on all those parks (especially BGE). I myself am planning a trip to PKD in august and found quite a bit.
  15. Saw Rattatouille sat night and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very deep, intelligent movie from Brad Bird (Incredibles). Evan Almighty I enjoyed even if it was a bit heavy handed. Transformers I'm seeing tomorrow and I don't know quite what to expect despite the majority favorable reviews that have been pouring in.
  16. Ah, here's one, what's the last attraction that Walt Disney personally had a hand in designing?
  17. Hm, this one's easy. Where did Walt Disney originally debut Carousel of Progress? ok...um...the new york world's fair...1959?
  18. Wow, very good, I thought for sure I would get "rock n rollercoaster". Wait...you're dating a cast member, aren't you?
  19. Someone said something about annual passes to the FL parks. The problem is every one of them is seperately ticketed (Howl O Scream, Mickey's Not so Scary and my personal favorite, Halloween Horror Nights) so I guess the lump sum would have to include the ticket prices. I know because I have them also. Now would me having annual passes to all the parks here reduce my cost of the FL trip? On a slightly different subject, the trip I'm seriously interested in is the southern cali trip. It looks reasonably priced and it would be my first visit to a six flags!

  21. Was it the skyride? Oh yeah, my question... What's the fastest ride on Walt Disney World property?
  22. Shrek 3 - Good but not great, the whole concept is getting old, time to move on Pirates 3 - great way to wrap up the series complete with a surprise ending... Ocean's 13 - pretty mediocre in every respect, not too impressed, although the whole "Are you watching Oprah?" bit was great. Most anticipated? TRANSFORMERS! - ah, nostalgia...and who can resist big robots blowing stuff up? Ratatouille - just looks great, no other way to put it, Brad Bird is a genius
  23. So, Terry, you'll tear your shirt off in a club, but you're not brave enough to wear spandex?? My body is nowhere near being able to do either...so more power to ya. BTW, I gained 3 lbs this week...GRRRR....
  24. Referring to your previous post..."I'm not bragging"...why not? Considering how far you've come and how hard you've worked, you deserve to brag a little. I have my weigh in tonight so we'll see how things go. As a side note, getting back into the gym is proving more difficult than I first anticipated.
  25. Sorry, I have to chime in on this. I'm so glad to see this thing go. I've been on it twice and got off with a horrible headache and nausea, and it's very rare that a ride does that to me. They can level the whole building for all I care. What I'm interested in, however, is how the Simpsons ride will pan out. I'm not really a fan but they could do a lot of fun things with the concept. Simulator? Dark ride? Only time will tell.
