  1. I saw the Caterpillar at Idlewild but never rode it - still need to get to Canobie. I spent a half-day at Epcot in 2014 and didn't ride Universe of Energy. My first visit to Kings Dominion was a couple of days after Shockwave closed, which I would've liked to have ridden just to say I'd been on a Togo stand-up. These are weird ones but they mean something to me!
  2. That might be the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Oklahoma, which was known as White Water under Herschend. This is honestly quite the shock. I'm already thinking about how this park could change...
  3. Condos? The park's in the boondocks of PA. The rides are not on the lake like a boardwalk park, but the property does have some lakefront space.
  4. Knott's is giving passholders a "Day for Day Extension" in 2021. I wonder if we'll see any of the other Cedar Fair parks do something similar.
  5. The one time I entered the parking lot and saw it running, we sped to the upper-most parking lot, but there was no operator in sight once we got there.
  6. Just like at Over Texas, I think that Great America may have leaked its plans for 2021!
  7. ^ Who cares about the kids when they could get another Schwarzkopf? https://coasternation.com/indiana-beach-to-get-new-coaster-in-2022-potentially-adding-kennywoods-former-laser-loop/?fbclid=IwAR2GBagx4v_dI8YOQPobelrO9nTqbnj0Zq8nXwW4iNWl0Pc-lYUEjNVDiAY So people are drawing the conclusion that the possible new coaster in 2022 could be the old Kennywood Laser Loop (Cascabel). That would literally be the most incredible thing, but I'll believe it when I see it.
  8. I highly doubt that, but the owner did mention that they want to add a second roller coaster in 2022. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=414930102976641
  9. Apparently they tried a free-admission Christmas event with just the carousel open as far as rides go for one year in the 90s, but it wasn't a success.
  10. Well, I mixed up the KI and KD threads, so here's a random picture I took this year of how full the parking lot was.
  11. Indiana Beach 2020 ornament I can't even!
  12. Idlewild has stopped pass and ticket sales and is now waiting until "early 2021" to release ticket prices that "reflect the current conditions." I was honestly confused over why they released a calendar (with limited dates) so far in advance, so I guess this makes sense. If next year ends up like this year, though, I would definitely suggest making a visit to this small park before it's too late!
  13. They're running CraZanity and the carousel empty, and you get to drive through Scream at the end. Looks fun!
  14. I was at the park on that day, too. It was actually my first visit, and I couldn't have picked a better day to experience the desolation that is Six Flags America on a November Sunday. There's no way that they were making any money. In three hours, I got 20 rides on all of the coasters. The second train was already gone for most of the coasters. I think it's funny that they still needed to sanitize and run the train empty after three cycles even if only a combined 10 people had ridden it. Overall, I really enjoyed Wild One and the coasters in Gotham City. Batwing was my first flying coaster, so I probably liked that a little more than I should have. It was weird seeing all of the Christmas decorations up but also seeing lots of Halloween stuff still lying around.
  15. ^ I think the Sky Ride is already closed.
  16. These are some top-notch pictures. Great job! I'm disappointed that even though you mentioned the lame Jolly Rogers darkride, you didn't take a shot of the Trimper's Haunted House.
  17. I would love to see those tapes! Sent from my SM-J737T1 using Tapatalk
  18. Is it too late for a surprise holiday reopening like Carowinds? Sent from my SM-J737T1 using Tapatalk
  19. I wonder if Palace would be willing for someone (you know....) to take the Kurve and Kangaroo off their hands for cheap. Sent from my SM-J737T1 using Tapatalk
  20. They slipped it in on election day, but Pittsburgh Facebook pages are blowing up. Did Parques really lose so much money that they need to do something this drastic? Maybe, just maybe, next season will be better and they will eventually recover costs. But in all honesty, these rides formed the heart and soul of Kennywood. I have a free season pass for next year and have no plans to use it if Conneaut opens.
  21. If anyone cares, here's the timeline of Idlewild since 2013... 2013: Removal of historic Caterpillar and Dizzy Lizzy's Saloon (Haunted Swing) 2014: Closing of Mister Rogers Neighborhood (of Sally animatronics) 2015: Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood (of cutouts) opens 2017: Mothballing of Whip after it stands SBNO for more than a season 2018: Ridiculous new Rollo Coaster trains 2019: Super Round Up returns after being gone in 2018 - a "new" ride! 2021: Ferris Wheel, kiddie wheel removed The Tilt-A-Whirl was also changed out at some point for a different one. Net attraction loss: -6! And there are some bad typos in that video, BTW!
  22. Kennywood is removing Bayern Kurve and Kangaroo, plus Paratrooper and Volcano (Enterprise). This is a major blow to the park's historic flat ride collection. Sent from my SM-J737T1 using Tapatalk
