  1. Memorial Day has always been an iffy day to go to the park. It's either crowded or completely empty. There were some crowds, but they didn't stop the fun that was had. The crews were working hard, but they were sending lots of empty seats *cough* Raging Bull *cough*. I was lucky enough to be able to hang out with Big Mike and the crew which was lots of fun! I met a lot of great and new friends that day. Around noon I was able to ride Buccaneer Battle for the first time, unfortunately I forgot to take any pictures of it (doh!) Overall it's a great ride! I had a boat all to myself and can imagine how much more competition there will be once the boats are full. Needless to say, I got soaked. The theming was pretty good, except I was on the side of the boat facing the midway so most of it was on the other side of the boat. Even though no one was on the ride, there were still lots of people firing at me from the midway. My only real complaint would be that the targets didn't really seem to do anything. If it's hot in the summer, I would definitely ride it again! Finally, I don't know if it was just a great crew or if they just wanted to go home, but the Superman crew was kicking some serious a$$! I was seriously impressed and I wish every crew was like them and it's not just because they were playing some awesome music. [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=Superman_crew_app5[/coastertube] Onto some pics! The last ride for today was Superman. Again, awesome crew! I had a great time hanging out with Big Mike and everyone at Great America! Thanks for reading! Look Six Flags. I know you need the money, but seriously? Usually I ride IW in the fornt row to prevent headbanging. I rode it in the third row this time and it hurt, bad. I really don't know what to say about this Some serious spinning action on Chubasco! Twisty Yea, might want to fix that roof so the rain doesn't get in Overview Turnaround Through the trees! And now, random Raging Bull pics. This is a new Guitar Hero type game This is BEFORE the ride. It broke down while we were in line. The ride op said that there was something on the track. But while they were testing, I could hear the truck horn so I was dissapointed that it didn't work when we rode. But the disco lights on the brake run were pretty cool. I hadn't told my friends anything about the ride. Needless to say, they were dissapointed, especially after the sweet preshow. Surprisingly the line moved pretty fast Unfortunately, only half of the effects were working. The fire was off, the top of the pipes weren't lit so they weren't much of a headchopper, and the final truck didn't work. One of my friends had never been on The Dark Knight, and since it started raining a bit we thought TDK was the least likely to close. It has cool lights and it's made by Huss. What more do you want? Some Condor action Batman was CRUISING towards the end of the day! Superman: Ultimate Flight No Demon today Yup, Hurricane Harbor was empty! Todays crowds Some of the awesome friends I met, Griffin and JoJo! Big Mike has perfected his smile. Me? I have to work on it. I think I was focusing on the screen instead of the lens. Can you spot Big Mike? Viper was screeching today. Last time it was pretty silent. I guess the oil or whatever wore off pretty fast. Random story: while the train was going out of the station, the ride op stopped the train when it was halfway out and said "There is absolutely no high fiving across the air gates at Six Flags" just in a really strict way. Not the biggest deal, but I was kinda surprised. I LOVE back row on Viper! Yup, buttons and knobbly bits While I was wating for the gang, I took a couple pics of Giant Drop's control panel. If you know what this stands for, you're a nerd! Oh yea, Hurricane Harbor was open to. If you don't mind the cold, go now and avoid the lines! Walking back from lunch, it was back to normal. I liked how Six Flags had the flags at half mast. But what are those people doing on the top of Sky Trek? The blue side did open up later in the day Yup, the line is still there. Well that explains it. Only the red side was running. I have NEVER seen a line for Eagle go over the bridge before! American Eagle. By this time, the crowds were catching up with us. Done and done Fiddler's Fling next. I was dizzy afterwards To bad they havn't fixed the holding brake yet Next up was V2. I was glad to ride because it wasn't open the last time I was here Always a fun ride The crew in front of Batman Because Big Mike is here! First up was Ragin Cajun. Why? Here we are again! It got cloudy, but that didn't seem to stop the crowds.
  2. I also remember seeing The Blue Flash on TV. His smaller nephews couldn't ride The Blue Flash, he would just push them up the final helix and let them go. He made The Blue Too for them. Great report Big Mike, it's one of my favorites so far!
  3. Haha those expressions are PRICELESS! Great pics Voyager, looks like you had a fun time.
  4. ^Don't forget that this is the first coaster of its kind. Maybe in future models they will try that, but with the current train kind of in the form of an X, linking 2 together XX doesn't look like it would be possible because the bar or whatever connecting them would be to long to navigate the curves correctly. I think the capacity on this will be fine because this is a smaller family park and it holds the same amount of people as eurofighters and more than wild mouse coasters.
  5. Big Mike, you continue to amaze me! I can't wait for your report later tonight
  6. One question I gotta ask, where are the speakers? Are they built into the seats? Rockit is looking great! I'm sure those LEDs will make it look even cooler.
  7. Thanks Big MIke for a GREAT day at Six Flags Great America! It was lots of fun to hang out with you and the rest of the super cool people in our group. I also can't wait to hang out with you and everyone I met today again.
  8. I can't wait to see you tomorrow at Great America Big Mike! 'll be there before opening wearing my brown hoodie (not my TPR hoodie though, hasn't arrived yet). I'm guessing that you'll be hitting up The Dark Knight first thing.
  9. Now that's EXTREMELY impressive! Just because he just proved he's an even bigger nerd than you doesn't mean you have to be a dick about it How was he being a dick? Clearly there's no coaster in Antartica, it was just funny that he put that on his map. "A very little known park, that is locally know as the "Cedar Point of the south Pole"!"
  10. Right, they're just buried beneath other ones. Don't forget that half of these are just kiddie coasters. Tell me how and I will. Wow, that's impressive! The color coding is a great idea. Are you mapping the entire world? I had no idea there was a coaster in Antartica Here are a couple more pics West Coast South Midwest East Coast
  11. I was bored one day so I decided to map out every amusement park with a roller coaster in the US. This doesn't include parks where all coasters are SBNO, only parks that have at least one functioning coaster. I have to say thanks to Duane from http://www.rcdb.com because that was the site I used to map all of this out. It took around 1-2 months to finish it.
  12. For some reason I can't find the "beyond" item. A little more help?
  13. Question: How do you make the park smaller than 50x50?
  14. Unfortunately i'm working on Saturday so I can't meet up with you at King's Island, but I might be going to SFGAm on monday (I have school on tuesday)
  15. Haha, those look great! It's amazing how much theming can be put in such a small space. I love the splashdown on Redwood Falls! I might have to steal your idea and make a couple of micro parks myself
  16. HOLY S***! I really don't know what else to say besides this is the best most awesome but messed up looking fair ever! By the way, the standing falling star is called La Carcel which means The Jail in english. That would explain those cameras on the ride (or would it?) Glad none of you died on the spanish shuttle death coaster!
  17. Wow, this ride looks great! When I first heard about Buccaneer battle I was like "meh, it's alright". But after seeing those pics and hearing great things about it, i'm actually looking forward to riding it the next time I go. Are there any lockers or bins outside the ride? I might actually use one so my electronics don't get wet. The theming of the ride looks great and I loved how the ride op booth was in the tower. Looks like Six Flags has a winner with Buccaneer Battle!
  18. I think it's number 26 on the map which says "Coming Soon" *EDIT* Robb beat me to it Also the commercial was decent but not great. They concentrate only on The Time Machine and don't mention the new family attractions or shows. For a park with the family in mind, they did a poor job of marketing that aspect of the park. Did anyone else notice the "Kiss The Sky" fireworks show?
  19. Infinity looks great! Just some questions, how do you make a splashdown and immelman? Do I have to unlock more or get an expansion pack?
  20. Gotta agree with you on that. Random youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wodz1lemsNY
  21. They would have been vacuuming a RED carpet if it was for you Big Mike!
  22. I all of your backgrounds! The orange Cedar Point one is currently my wallpaper, but no Mean Streak? Keep up the great work, I can't wait to see more! *EDIT* I found Mean Streak in the backround graffiti words
