  1. Whenever I go to Colorado I pass by Adventureland, but i've never actually stopped to go there. Thanks for showing us what the park is like! It's a bummer that those slides are "trimmed", they look like a a lot of fun.
  2. ^A new kiddie attraction might not be the only thing they're adding next year, just saying. Plus Holiday World is a family park, they need to stay well rounded.
  3. ^^Something tells me that those pictures will be pulled very soon.
  4. Theme Park Review, I bring to you video of the awesome bridge party we had during the storm at Six Flags Great America! I also uploaded all of my pictures from TPR day, you can check them out by clicking the link below. http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=938306#p938306
  5. ^He's underage so i'm guessing no.
  6. I'm not crying because i'm sad, those are tears of joy because I was laughing so hard!!!!
  7. The wave pool at Great America is packed on busy days. I'm not positive about it, but does Six Flags have to clear the wavepool often just for insurance reasons?
  8. ^In comparison, White Water West says that the capacity of their aqualoop is also 120 people/hour. There really are just not any "people eater" waterslides, so adding an entire new section is the best way to increase the entire capacity of Hurricane Harbor as a whole.
  9. ^Usually you go until you fall or there's a time limit. If everyone has a minute and there are two sides, 120 people/hour. If everyone has 45 seconds, 160 people/hour. Those are just random guesses though. I'm definitely excited for this addition! I think it's just what Hurricane Harbor needed.
  10. ^Well it's obvious now that we're getting a waterpark expansion, but will it be just one slide or a whole new section? I guess we'll just have to wait till tomorrow to find out.
  11. ^The Gravity Group is helping build it. Bay Beach bought the blueprints for Zippin Pippin so they already had the design, but they hired The Gravity Group as consultants and I believe they are helping construct the ride along with Martin & Vleminckx.
  12. Yay! Now that Big Mike is back, that means that Fantasy Football is back. And now that Fantasy Football is back, that means that the Big Mike Show-stoppers are back! The Big Mike road show is back on the street, he's the one that can't be beat! He will knock the other players down, he'll make them all look like a clown! I'm looking forward to the Big Mike Road Show Actual Show and of course more rounds of finding those rubber ducks!
  13. Here's the latest from the puzzle. The bit that catches my eye is "near-vertical" and "slide". Another part looks like it says "Featuring". Could we possibly see a whole new section in Hurricane Harbor with multiple new slides?
  14. ^You don't need a top ten coaster to have a nice park that the entire family can enjoy.
  15. Never trust Wikipedia, enough said.
  16. It's possible but not likely. Iron Wolf uses Intamin trains because B&M wasn't making their own at the time. Some parts may be similar though, but if we needed parts or an entire train I would think that they would just use the Chang trains that are already backstage.
  17. Article plus more pictures of the ground breaking on the sidebar (I would post them here, but it looks like I need to buy them or get permission) You can follow the construction of Zippin Pippin on their new website http://www.zippinpippin.org/ They will be adding a webcam soon. According to the site, construction on the coaster will begin in September and then it will open in 2011. Groundbreaking for the Zippin Pippin was held on August 25 at 10:00 AM at the construction site
  18. Well if you go through Dayton, could you please pick me up on the way? Windseeker just looks like a fun addition to me. I think it will attract families but also be popular to thrill seekers. It's a win-win for Cedar Fair in my book and i'm glad that multiple parks are getting one.
  19. That''s not how I heard it. I thought that they said the dry side of the park had a lot of water rides, all of which (except Buccaneer Battle) have long lines on hot days. To me it seemed like they were done adding water rides in the dry park for now, but they said nothing about the water park getting a new slide.
  20. I'm pretty sure that Great America doesn't have the room for a long out and back looping coaster. At least Chang was a little more compact.
  21. Didn't even realize this. When you click on the picture, it takes you to this Youtube video "Nick Lucas - Side By Side (1944)" So it's going to be tall, spinny, on the beach, and you're going to be next to someone while riding.
  22. Without knowing the boats' center of gravity, this makes the most logical sense yet for balance, though I'm sure CP managment are still a little embarrassed on the rides performance thus far. (performance defined as uptime, the need to place people based on their weight, lack of us of all seats, etc) It's definitely for balance, they do the same thing on Pilgrim's Plunge at Holiday World. Have we seen any boats with people in every row?
