  1. When Canada's Wonderland opened in 1981, there were several plans that never came to life. There was going to be a themed area called "Frontier Canada" located where Splash Works is now. In addition the Mighty Canadian Minebuster (which had already been built) there was going to be a steam train ride, another log flume/water ride, a mine train coaster, a restaurant, an arcade and a lumberjack show (lumberjacks in Toronto?). Instead, they built White Water Canyon with theming partially intact. There was also supposed to be a killer whale show (shades of Marineland) where the Kingswood Music Theatre is now.
  2. The Mighty Canadian Minebuster at Canada's Wonderland, or as I like to call it "The Mighty Canadian BACKbuster"
  3. I was thrown out of Disneyland once for conducting unofficial tours. Wait a sec - I think that was someone else!!...
  4. Closest: All those tired old coasters at Paramount Canada's Wonderland. Second Closest: Tired old Dragon Mountain at Marineland in Niagara Falls. Third Closest: All those tired old coasters at Six Flags Darien Lake. *sigh*
  5. I was deathly afraid of coasters when I was a kid. I thought the people who rode them were insane. My first real coaster was the Ghoster Coaster at Canada's Wonderland when I was nine. I liked it so much I think I rode it about 20 times that day. I conquered my fear of Space Mountain at Disney World when I was 11. Despite this I was still afraid of steel coasters, especially looping ones. My first looping coaster was The Loch Ness Monster at BGW when I was 15. I haven't looked back since.

  10. Hello - another new guy here. Long-time TPR lurker/Robb & Elissa fan who decided to finally emerge from the shadows and become a member. I'm a HUGE theme park/coaster fan. My favourite parks are: Disneyland, Cedar Point and Busch Gardens Williamsburg. I also used to be a Ride-Op at Paramount Canada's Wonderland (way back when it was just 'Canada's Wonderland'). Anyway, just thought I'd come in and say "Hi".
