Because of the people in this thread mentioning it several times (and because I've heard great things about it), I picked up a copy of The Kite Runner last night. So far (approx 40 pages) it is fantastic. Now, to finish it!

By saying that activism "is lies" is saying that their cause is simply pretense. I realize it was probably a thoughtless typo, but really that's what it would mean if you honestly worded it like that. I believe you mean: "At the activism lies in the right place." That's proper syntax for you. NOW, I get where the confusion is...I added the word "is" when it should not have been there in the first place. Oh, and for the record...Don't "put words in my mouth," as I KNOW what I was intending to say. Those who know me on the threads, know that if I feel the need to say something, I do. FYI, "At the activism lies in the right place," doesn't make any f'ing sense.

I saw Rent on Wednesday night and I thought it was great. My partner liked it on Broadway better, but I wasn't as fortunate. I really liked how well they harmonize together and as to what SOBsucks said, yes, the underlying storyline is sad, but it's real and happens to a lot of good people.

^^Actually, the Taste of Chaos tour DID come around here last spring. I didn't go, but I have seen The Used live, and they are amazing! Glad to see another fan on the threads.
