  1. Felt like today was just as busy as Sunday if not more. Millennium Force actually had a 30-40 minute wait. All in all it was a good day got 18 rides in despite experiencing 2 dragster breakdowns. Highlights included 4 rides on Gatekepper, 3 on Maverick and steel vengeance, 2 on dragster and magnum and 1 on Millennium Force and Valravn. Got the front row of the second train out during early ride time. Waited 2 hours due to a 30+ minute ride breakdown, and just under 60 minutes for the last ride. I have the last day at the park on Tuesday. Hopefully the weather is all right. SV ran in a drizzle, light rain today. Also have the ERT for SV in Tuesday night
  2. It is still runing one train and they ran it without row 10 for the last 3 hours. So they were getting 22 riders per train.
  3. Don’t worry my luck ran out after a great start this morning. Did well on the 1k run back to steel vengeance this morning. I ended up front seat on the second train out. Went to maverick. Got two rides in and was on the last ride when that broke down so my good luck was great. Went over to Dragster and rode front row and then got back in line. Was on the train when everything shuts down. They slowly roll us back and we get off. I guess I just got the full cedar point experience.
  4. Yesterday I was Cedar point as well and here were my highlights. App was not accurate over than Maverick and Dragster. Those times were pretty much dead on. I got a front row ride on dragster after it reopened after being down for a while. Nice to only have a 30 minute wait. Maverick was about 40-45 for a good part of the day. I did manage 3 rides on it in the last 45 minutes. The line for Millennium was about 5-10 minutes. I got 9 rides on it. Only time I waited longer was for the front which added 15 minutes. There were times you didn’t have to walk around and you exited right back in line near the station. Gate keeper was 5 minutes. I got 5 rides on it. Caught raptor at the correct time it was a walk on twice. Since I rode Valravn twice Saturday night I skipped it on Sunday. Need a front row day ride on it either today or Tuesday. Like I said in a previous post I went to SV right away during early entry. Something happen with it and caused a delay of about 15-20 minutes. I got a ride at about 9:40. Great ride but I wanted a ride later in the day. Jumped in line at 7:45 and got on right before 9. That was one of the best rides I ever got on a roller coaster. I highly recommend late day rides on this one. I ate at Melt for a late lunch. Thought the food was good. All in all great day. I got in like 34-35 rides. I have hit every coaster so the focus today and Tuesday will be quality over quantity so I imagine I will hit up SV, Maverick, MF, and Dragster. Weather is a bit iffy for about a 2-3 hour window this afternoon so let’s see how this works out.
  5. Awesome pictures! Pretty cool they sent the trains! Will be at Kings Island on Wednesday and Thursday.
  6. Everyone has the right to pick their favorite. I think the second half of Magnum has great air time moments. But that is the ride that beats me up due to the restraints not steel vengeance. Of course I am used to RMCs
  7. It was brutal this morning. Ran/jogged from resort entrance. Got on the 7 or 8th train this morning after they had an issue first thing. Then rode it again around dusk where the app said 150 minutes and it ended up 75 minutes
  8. Got into town about 8:20 and spent about an 1:35 minutes in the park. I got 5 rides in. I rode Gatekepper first. Felt like it had a bit of a rattle. Only had to wait one train. Faster than X Flight but I think the near miss was better on x flight. Need to give it a few more rides. Next was Wicked Twister which I got on right away. After that I looked at the app and noticed dragster was closed but looked up and they were testing. I jumped in line and after 15 minutes I rode it. Pretty good ride. Then I went to Valravn. Rode it twice before closing. Once in the third row and once in the front. Best thing about that ride is the 270 degree third inversion. And I will say they get the trains out fast on that ride and gatekepper. Dragster was quick as well. I thought the employees were doing well. App was completely off in terms of the times it took to get on the ride. Will be at the park for the next 3 days and will be at the park for early entry for Steel Vengeance. I think I lucked out today since some rain in the area reduced the crowds I am sure.
  9. The only project moving at a slower pace is the construction on I-5 near the park. JUly 2020 on I-5. That is the over/under.
  10. I f you actually waited 30 minutes for Viper you are at the park on the wrong day. Only time it should have that much of a wait is a holiday weekend or Freight Fest.
  11. I'm hearing Steel Vengeance is currently in handcuffs now Just 2 of the 3 trains are in handcuffs... The 3rd outlaw is still running on the track...
  12. Yeah if someone is actually waiting 60 minutes for Corkscrew, they have issues....
  13. Did you ever visit Mt.Olympus? Worst ride ops I've ever seen. Hades 360 only has one train and dispatch was once every 6-7 mins. Even on a quiet day wait times were close to 60 mins. I believe part of the challenge is they have to wait until they have a full train.
  14. One major difference between Disney and say Dollywood is all of Disney's rides are kid friendly. Even the roller coasters have a maximum height of 44 or 48 inches. Dollywood's max is 50 inches while most parks are 54 inches. Dollywood seems to be investing in more thrilling rides that are aimed for an older audience than say Disney would. But with the Gatlinburg area being a mountain tourist stop in the great smokey's, Dollywood can offer a little more than your typical six flags or cedar fair parks in terms of shows and a resort feel. It is sort of a hybrid of the Disney and Cedar Fair.
  15. You're probably here by now, and don't need me to tell you this, but crowds are very minimal, as they typically are this time of year. Haven't waited more than a half hour for anything (though I'm guessing SV is longer than that now that it's not early entry), and have walked into the station on everything except MF (ramp wait), and Valravn. Of course, we rode Maverick at the end of Early Entry as well, so the walk up isn't probably indicative of how it's been most of the day! Lol. TTD has stood for Tepid Thrill Downtime today, so I don't know if my two older kids will get their first ride on it today. Other than that though, most rides and coasters have operated, and operated well (aside from Corkscrew and maXair!) The food stands have been almost AWOL however, which is annoying when you have the All Day Dining Plan... Still, it's a beautiful day, with little waiting, and lots of Cedar Point goodness! Can't wait to get another ride or two on Steel Vengeance later! Your report is what I am hoping for on this Monday and Tuesday. I will take reasonible crowds on Sunday as well.
  16. That station reminds me a lot of Ghostrider. Only two more weeks 'til I can see it in person. It does give a Ghostrider station vibe. It just needs a video with the girl dragging the old guy into the ride, goofing on not bringing items onto the ride such as hats and jackets, and is the child tall enough, etc, etc
  17. Rides with VR are naturally going to take longer, so if a dispatch goes long because you are visiting on a hot day where it could give the VR more trouble, that should be excluded if you are talking 7-10 minutes dispatch times. If you throw out technical VR issues, I doubt many dispatches over 5 minutes have occurred unless something is wrong with the ride. As far as the cameras go, this is 2018 and it is Cedar Point. Bye more cameras and place them throughout the park. Then you can rotate what you actually show. It isn't that tough if you were to set it up prior to the start of the season .
  18. That is a great shot. They really need to switch camera #2 to something else. They keep switching #3. I would keep it on that shot and move the old #3 which you saw MF and Maverick to the current #2. Camera #1 is a fine shot.
  19. Look this movie, Avengers, was not made to win any awards to be honest. It isn't going to cure cancer. I thought it was entertaining but it does have some flaws. Let's be honest none of these guys are dead because are they really killing off Black Panther after how well that movie did. Same with Spider Man and Guardians of the Galaxy. I do think that the Guardian of the Galaxy characters made sense being in the movie because of the interaction between Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and Thanos (Josh Brolin). Plus someone had to ruin it when they had Thanos. Pratt made sense. I was interested to see how they got all of these characters in one movie. It could have been worse. I felt they actually did a fairly good job with getting them screen time and developing the characters. The ones that were lacking seem to be the black panther characters. I am not a comic guy at all and I have only seen some of these movies. I have enjoyed the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, and Robert Downey is pretty good in the Iron Man movies, but I must admit I have seen the first two Thor movies and they were quite painful to watch. This film kept my interest for the 2 and half hours and I feel invested to watch the next one. Do I think it will be my favorite movie this summer, no not even close. But was it worth me checking out before I saw all of the spoilers- Yes. I watched it just this past weekend.
  20. At least SV is running... That is the good thing for those of with trips in the very near future!
  21. Oh man I had no idea there was a Porto's nearby, I love that place! Thanks for the heads up yeah, depending on when you got, Porto's has it's own queue line outside. lol i just got an email today from Portillo's stating they have extended their hours. drive thru now open until at least midnight every day. so many times it's been just past 11 and i've wanted to eat there. And Portillo's will be crowded until they close. Great place to eat!
  22. It's actually a play on the (think, "Winter is Coming" ...Summer is coming), and its awesome! That was pretry good.
  23. I also found a POV (would link it here but not sure what the policy is on illegal videos) in which while entering the station, the train comes to a hard halt. Looks like they're having some problems with the station system. Not good. I was hoping that they were shutting it down to start the transition to multiple trains but it doesn't sound like this is the case at all. I'm just hoping this thing stays open during my visit in a few days.
  24. It's actually kinda shocking that Six Flags opened the same ride before a Cedar Fair park. Then again, Knott's is opening their new coaster on Friday and SFMM hasn't even gone vertical with their giant Frisbee, which is more like I've come to expect. I wonder why CGA's raptor is taking so long to open? You'd think they would want to capitalize on the Memorial Day holiday weekend to drive guests to the park. The user that stated that SF had an agreement to open Wonder Women first is correct. With regard to SFMM, they didn't open up Justice LEague until July last year. I expect that July is the earliest this year. KBF announces the grand opening just a few weeks ago and they were rather last minute on ERT for Hang Time. It would not surprise me if CGA is the same way and communicates everything fairly last minute. I would like to think they want this operational by Memorial Day, but it would not surprise me if it went into June.
  25. I understand your frustration coasterbill but with all honesty, I had NEVER seen that queue time website till you posted it, so if I didn't follow the thread and didn't go back 15-20 pages like I am to do, I'd have no clue it even existed, and I'd be asking the same (well, at this point because I know about it) dumb questions, I suppose. And I've been following coasters for over 20 years now. That link should just be a sticky at the top of the thread, because people are ALWAYS asking about wait times, park capacity, ride closures. But the truth of the matter is, it's all a crap-shoot. For us trying to guess, and even the park trying to guess, depending on what happens with the ride or the unpredictability of unforseen circumstances, literally nobody knows. With a park like Disney that has essentially unlimited resources on fairly mundayne rides, sure, you'll have consistency and predictability. But when it comes to Six Flags or Cedar Fair, you're roaming into pushing the limit territory, and with that come unforseen events that effect reliability. It's what happens when you have rides going 200, 300, 400+ feet in the air and are going over 100 miles per hour. FOLLOW LOOK AND UPDATE THE WEBSITE FOLKS! The web cames are good at telling you that a ride is operating or at least testing. The problem with the web cam is that it really doesn't give you any idea about the queues for most of the big rides. You have no idea about SV, Maverick, TTD, or Gatekepper. You can see Valravn and MF's queues I believe. The other 4 you don't. If you really want to cover more then replace camera 2 with something back by Maverick and SV. A shot of the midway really isn't showing much. Live Cedar Point queue times: https://queue-times.com/parks/50/queue_times Click it. Learn it. Love it. By the way there's no reason anyone who's on TPR,who's looking for information and asking questions about Cedar Point, and is visiting the park, there's no reason they shouldn't be contributing info to this site. You're waiting in line and you're on your phone anyway, it takes what...1 minute? Let's help make this site better by giving it up-to-date info. I for one really appreciate that this kind of thing is around when really, there seems to be nothing else! Webcams are nice but, really, the people at the park telling us what's going on is pretty awesome. So I looked at it today since I will be in the park on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday next week. At one point the site said Valravn was 120 minutes, and about 15 minutes later it was 20 minutes where it stayed the rest of the time. The issue with this site is the fact that if you miss type in the numbers or you type the wrong number under the wrong coaster. To me, the user who tried to type in 120 for Valravn either meant to type that in for Steel Vengeance or made a mistake and added a "1" in front of the "20". I felt like a lot of it was accurate but you do have these outliers from time to time that makes the data look strange.
