  1. One would hope. SFMM is due for a new coaster. It has been since 2015. Going to 365 days is setting the table to spend a little more for a new attraction. Hopefully it hasn't added a bunch of expenses and prevents the addition.
  2. They meant to say it was the most painful ride in the park. Production didn't catch the error...
  3. I'm just shocked they haven't announced the date yet considering they have riders on it, even if they are employees.
  4. Basically the report has flaws. 1. The guy with the gash in his leg, did he rush to get through the gate before it closed. Did he do something to get injured? No details were given. 2. I'm sure Cedar Point keeps track of everything like companies do with their warehouses. But companies don't publically report if they have a minor injuries. IT may become public knowledge if something major happens. Notice Cedar Point reported earlier this year that 4 people received medical attention and were back in the park after the SV trains tapped. 3. I love how the report sells that heart conditions, back problems and other issues that Cedar Point tells you NOT to ride if you have any of these conditions are some of these unreported injuries. 4. Then when they rattled off some of the unreported injuries, each one was the result of the water oark and had nothing to do with the theme park. Typical news report...
  5. They were not spot accurate when they ran one train with respect to the wait time. Generally it was shorter than what they communicated.
  6. Look the moose out front should have told you that the ride is closed today... Sorry folks....
  7. Did you break the enter key too? In all seriousness, we had a similar situation. We left around noon on Monday after running into Ryan and the gang and everything was awesome when we left. There were people cleaning up concrete from a car crash in the parking lot that took out a concrete post but we got out of there before an (apparently different) car crash took out the power. People of Sandusky... please learn how to drive. The problem with the drivers is you have people from all over the place and when you get drivers from all over the places they will handle the same thing 10 different ways and create issues. This is the same as Orlando, LAs Vegas, or any tourist destination.
  8. You are on the lake, of course you are going to see bugs..
  9. The park has been really busy this week, so this Sunday should likely be busy too and it will be hot near 90 degrees. I would run to either Ghostrider or Hangtime first. Both coasters will have waits in the 1:30 - 2-hour ranges. Xcelerator and Silver Bullet will be closer to 1 to 1:30-hour waits. The rest of the park will range from 10 minutes to an hour waits. Ghost Rider first, then Hang Time/XCelerator. No way Silver Bullet gets a 90 minute wait. Some of the smaller coasters have had longer waits than Silver Bullet the times I have gone on the weekends.
  10. Late July seems about the time they opened Justice League last year so you should be OK. They need to open it BEFORE the 2019 Six Flags New Ride Announcement. That is the worse case
  11. Excluding home parks (Six Flags Magic Mountain & Knott's)- trying to determine if it will be Six Flags Over Georgia, Six Flags over Texas, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, or California Great America in a few weeks.
  12. Sorry you will have to walk down the midway. It is pretty wide so I think you will be able to make without running into people. You are more likely to run into people during the 1K morning run to SV. Now let's get back to the more pressing issue.....
  13. If this was even remotely true... Why would CP go to the trouble of theming and naming three trains when they "allegedly" knew they'd just be using two trains. Why theme the third train if its only going to be used as part. This does not pass the logic test so it's bullshit. Ding ding ding... You hit the nail on the head. Why would they go to all the trouble of theming the three trains to the three characters and not run all 3 trains, which they did briefly on the first day until 2 bumped. The original question is complete BS. All 3 will be certified at some point or at some point 3 trains will be certified on this ride to the 3 characters.
  14. I got 9 rides on SV on my trip about 8-10 days ago. I sat in rows 1, 9, 11, and 12. With the three rides in row 1, you didn't get anytime off the hill after the MCBR. The further back you go, the more air you got. You would expect this. You really need to compare your ride after the change to a ride you had in the same row. Just throwing it out there before everyone jumps off a cliff about the changes....
  15. Just looked at the web site for SFOT and they said NEw Texas Giant is closed? Is this the case. Looking at a possible trip in late June, but may change to Six Flags Over Geogria as it seems a lot of rides are down at SFOT. To me Joker makes sense because of how close it is to the new ride, but curious on what is up with New Texas Giant or if the website is just plain wrong.
  16. Would love to see this open by late June. May make a special trip up from LA to ride it. I was impressed with the way it looked when I was up there about a month ago.
  17. The great thing about going alone is you get to do what you want, when you want. Going with friends and fmailhy is great as well, but everyone has an opinion and what they want to do. It depends on your mood which is better on a particular day.
  18. Was at Kings Island on Wednesday and Thursday this past week. Park seem to have a lot of foot traffic but the lines were not longer than 10 minutes other than flight of fear and fire hawk. Operations were good at this park. Spent about 5-6 hours each day at the park. I think I preferred Diamondback over Mystic Timbers as the best coaster in the park although it was close. I know I prefer Ghostrider over mystic Timbers. Rode all coasters that were open. Blue side of racer was not operating.
  19. Went to Holiday World for the first time on this past Friday. I really think this park is great. I enjoyed all 4 coasters. Got 10 rides on the voyage. I really need to go back and ride it during holiwood nights. It must be insane. Got 8 rides on thunder bird. I got 3 on raven and 2 on legend. The staff was really friendly. They really seemed to get it at this park. I spent just over 6 hours at the park and was really tired after starting my day in Cincinnati and having to drive back to Louusville. To be honest I thing this is a must visit for anyone who loves theme parks.
  20. I was at Kentucky Kingdom today and I must say these were the slowest operations I have seen. Took between 2-4 minutes to dispatch train be at storm chaser and lightning run. Rode T3 once and they had an issue in the station and waited in the those restraints for close to 5 minutes. Park was not that busy. Rode storm chaser 10 times and lightning run 5 times. Did the drop tower and the other coasters once. I left after 5.5 hours. Pretty hot and a little humid in Louisville today. Really enjoyed the top 2 coasters just wish the operations were better. May go back on Sunday for 2-3 hours before I fly home
  21. I didn’t post about it on reddit so that must have been an account from someone else in the station. How it was described to me was that when the train started to move it was able to lick due to the different cylinder controlling it. It did finally lock after the train started to move but the operator in the booth saw something in the booth which triggered them shut it down.
  22. so I can actually speak to what happen. On the third train out I was seated in row 10, seat nearest to the stairs which you walk up. When I fasten the seat belt, they pulled down the lap bar. I did double check and it moved up. Their ops do a double check so I figure the second guy would catch it after I had moved it but he didn’t. The restraint was still moving and not locking into place. I was trying to get their attention as was the guy next to me. The train starts to move one of the ops sees that I am able to move the restraint and gets the guy to stop the ride at the same time he did this I press down and it locked into place. The train moved about 6 loading spots as I was stopped at row 4. At this point they took everyone off the train in groups of 4 starting at the back. They then cycled that train through and had it stop in the station. They then had the tech get the second train ready to swap out. Something must have still been wrong and they said they were going to have a long shut down and suggested everyone leave. At that point one of the operations asked me to come with him to talk with their ride operation manager. I met her and gave her a recap of what happen. She was most interested in if I could move the lap bar while the train was moving. She then explained how the locking system worked with the cylinders one controls it when the trAin is stop and one while it was in motion. After the 5 minute discussion she gave me 5 skip the line passes for anything but steel vengeance and one for steel vengeance. The part that through me for a loop was the screen was showing green but I was able to move it. A screen shows that all of the trains are locked just like the one at fury and the riders can see it. Ride was shut down for 5-6 hours. I did ride it later and they blocked off row 10.
