  1. Oh!!! I see: http://rcdb.com/ig1444.htm?picture=8 (Why aren't all my tags working?)
  2. I have always been sad that Cliff's can't really afford another coaster, so if they ever do, I have an Idea I can consult them about! Here it is: Cliff Diver.nltrack here it is! POV The "tower" Here's the overbanked turn The station ( which I guess doesn't say much) The train Rocketing out of the tunnel.
  3. Just a few things: The lift was curved (I would suggest the "I" key) The brake sections were curved (I would suggest the "I" key) The station was curved (I would suggest the "I" key) Bad Transition between Barrel Roll and Lift (I would suggest adding another node to the bottom of the lift.) Banking after elements should be checked to reduce Lat. G's (I would suggest the "Y" key. It takes quite a while to get it right!) Overall, Good design, and, yes, I would have also made the elements smaller. Keep watching those Lat. G's!
  4. I want to see a new coaster at Cliff's, but that's never going to happen!
  5. Why does everybody complain about the layouts of recent rocket coasters and how the coaster's going to suck soooo bad! Why can't you just accept that they made the layout they did and that's that. Perhaps they did it so thet the ride could be shorter in length so it could accomidate more riders per hour. I don't know. Yes, it would have been nice for a longer layout. Yes, it would have been nice not to see a clone, but that's just what the parks want and it obviously attracts a lot more guests there. I, personally, would love a ride like that near me (considering I live with Cliff's). It would be a major improvement. It's probably just because the park is small.
  6. There isn't a launch sled on any LIM/LSM launched coasters. There are magnets on the bottom of the train that recieve the magnetic force. When a mag passes over/thru a set of Electromagnets, the power up, pulling the magnet (and train) forward. As the magnet passes over the electromagnet, it switches polarity and instead pushes it forward and resets for the next magnet (i.e. the next car on the train) and it's all controlled by sensors. And this is all done in the blink of an eye! From the looks of it, I'd say about 4 or 5 seconds.
  7. I really want Cedar Point to go ALL OUT like they did in 2003 with TTD. They should at least break the height and speed record again. That would be the 4th time they did that.
  8. I'm guessing I made this a little TOO challenging! I thought that was the point of a challenge! I guess I'll change some of the rules too suit your likes and dislikes. See my first post for changes ^NL challenges are fun and they are a way to improve your skills in the game, no matter what is thrown at you.
  9. Excuse me, 1.4. Try like 2 G's 1.4 is like a really good LIM coaster
  10. I have decided to have my own No Limits challenge (aside from the other one(s) going on) just for fun and for the chance to show off your NL skills in another way. (and also the other one is ending soon anyway!) Requirements: --The coaster must be an Intamin 4 rail design (What is wrong with this rule?) --The coaster must have a launch --Must have at least 4 good inversions (at least one must be UNIQUE) --Must be over 3,000 feet --Track must go over 175 feet but may not exceed 300 feet (it can be 300 feet exact or 175 feet exact) --There must be a vertical part in the track (up or down) --Must run at least 3 trains with exactly 5 cars --May not launch over 2.3 G's or under 1.4 G's --May not brake over -1 G's --Brake sections must be straight. If they are on a curved or slopING (not sloped) piece of track, you will lose points! --The Vertical & Lateral G's must not exceed the yellow readings (in the simulator) --You may use (and probably should use) any enhancers necessary (i.e. AHG, Elementary, etc.) --You may not go within the circle in the middle, but you must go around it! --Track must be in before april 1st There will be a total of 40 points possible (or -10 possible) 10 for smoothness overall 10 for inversions 5 for uniqueness of inversion 5 for staying in the 4 rail design 10 for clearance between track and supports or other track -10 for any collisions or literal head choppers 10 for straight brake sections You may get bonus points for hugging the entire outside of the template The contest will be scored by me or anyone else I deem worthy enough! If you finish, please PM your track to me at "coasterlover420" (no, duh!) Have fun and I hope to get a lot of competetors here! And here is the template: (I know it's deformed, but that makes it more fun!) Template.nltrack This is the template!! YAY!!
  11. Only 1.3 Acceleration? There goes the launched coasters I had in mind (well, I guess not for a B&M style coaster!) I would join, but if there is a template, don't make it too small, because then it would be hard to get a coaster to 200 feet without an impossible lift or a long launch track. Maybe I'll make my own contest!!
  12. ^Oh, crap, I've been on WT!! I completely Forgot! My opinion has changed to WT, please!
  13. Yes. Do you own at least 3 computers?
  14. If it isn't a rule, the AHG would prove very useful! Nice for the restrictions. I myself couldn't do that good with having to add inversions.
  15. It's sad that I've only been on one LIM coaster . RnR is the only one I've been on, so I obviously have to lead towards that. As for the most extreme of any of them, I'll definitely say TTD was the most intense of all of my experiences. It was very quick and very forceful. I found KK just didn't live up to TTD, so, TTD and RnR, overall. (No S&S's)
  16. Height Speed Type of Train Drop I think the ultimate coaster would be TTD stard W/ a SR finish and then A second launch with a mirror tower right next to the first one so the trains race up the towers and end behind the station(s). That would be SWEET! (not to mention expensive!)
  17. ^How about a feature where you can design your own flat ride!
  18. Actually, the park did guarantee that the coaster will not be a clone! I forgot to mention that.
  19. I saw something like this done in RCT2 so I decided to incorporate that idea into my Knex coaster. ___________________________________________________________ Now forget I said that! _____________________________ It looks like some track has arrived in a "park" (my backyard) I live near and I went and took some photos. It looks vague as to what kind of coaster it will be and the "park" won't talk about it at all, but it looks interesting so far. Hi Res.zip High Resolution Photos
  20. I believe Rocket Coasters are already becoming rather popular among parks. They are just becoming better and I think the fact that everyone likes the smaller ones better is because Intamin put more thought into the track layout then the strata coasters which they incorporated just to get extreme acceleration and go higher than everything else in the world. They are all built to incorporate a different experience into the ride and I personally love the 400+ coasters more, although I have only been on the two of them. My opinion will be whole this summer after I ride Xcelerator!! Yay!!
  21. Does anyone here have the registered version that can do that for me?
  22. ^^Well, see, you're learning already!
