  1. I don't know how I feel about that. I mean, in a weird way it will bring in revenue, but at the same time, the rides that utilize it will have to add 1 or 2 more ride op positions to enforce it.
  2. ^That is bizarre. It kind of defeats the purpose of being able to control the speed of the train (based on weight, wind, etc...) Unless they are adjustable?
  3. I wonder if the truss assembly is simply because of space requirements (going over Comet), or if it actually saves money on lift support, or if there are other reasons...wouldn't it seem that simply adding another support would cost less than running a truss under the entire lift?
  4. ^It also says giga coaster is defined by airborne s-curves, yet Millennium has none...I said it is a new design for a megalite, I did not say it was a clone. Also, I quite agree about the ending, it did seem to be lacking. However, the speed I am dealing with at that point means if I draw them out any more, they would not be very exciting. I considered the time interval between them and it's really not all that different from the hilly-s-curve sections in real megalites, just at a slower speed so that the track has to be more compact. My only other option was to simply end the ride, which wouldn't have been too much fun to me...any opinions on other possible endings?
  5. I haven't posted a coaster here in a long time! I figured why not. This is one of my most recent projects, meant to be a newer version of an Intamin Megalite with improved capacity, speed, and airtime! Let me know what you think! And also, please rate HERE! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ta-zuU6_xI8 Python-coasterlover420.nltrack
  6. ^What I observed is that the wheel assemblies aren't very tightly clamped to the track. If you look directly at the wheels (any car 2-8) going over the hills, you'll notice they shake left and right. I'm not too familiar with what B&M has done in the past, but I feel like it has to do with the fact that the wheels are [obviously] set much farther apart on the tiered seating than on their normal 4-abreast seating. On Raptor, you can notice the effect of this type of thing, but it is quite minimal and not enough to be uncomfortable, however on Diamondback, it is quite obvious. That's just what I observed..
  7. It's kind of bizarre seeing B&M track without a crazy high heartline. I like it!
  8. Welcome to the off-season people!

  10. First 2011 IAAPA Bag-o-Crap!! I was so excited about this. It was a heavy box, too. There was literally so much crap it wouldn't all fit on my kitchen table: soooo much CRAP! There's still some that's not even on the table... Awesome brocures from awesome companies More crazy things and an awesome GCI bag Yummy...the OCT booklet is pretty big! Still sooo much crap! Wouldn't be a bag-o-crap without....chocolate! Included is a map of the convention: it is so big it literally covers everything up And in the theme of all things huge...an xxl S&S power shirt! So many thanks go to Robb and Elissa for giving me an awesome early Christmas present! I have no idea how you guys managed to get all this stuff, especially now seeing the map of this huge convention...but thank you so much!
