  1. I'd offer my company but unfortunately I have to take the ACT that day. Mark "Enjoy your trip!" Luskus
  2. Nice TR Soren! Those cakes look delicious. Mark "And I don't even like cake" Luskus
  3. Whitman College t-shirt and brown khaki shorts. Mark "My shirt has blood on it. Yuck" Luskus
  4. Hey guys, thanks for all the nice words. I'm feeling a lot better. No pain, no swelling, and no blood. I was even able to eat a bowel (they were in a bowel since my mom made them VERY creamy) of mashed potatoes and a milkshake. I don't understand how people enjoy the feelings that painkillers produce. They just make me feel sick (yup, they're codeine) and groggy. And Elissa, all that talk about swallowing blood made me feel mmm mm good! Mark "Hopefully things will not get worse" Luskus
  5. Today was one of those coming of age experiences. It was the day that I had my four impacted wisdom teeth removed. My appointment was for 8:30am, a nice time since I could just kind of roll out of bed, get it over with, and spend the rest of the day healing. My dad drove me to the oral surgeon and before I knew it I was hooked up to a heart rate monitor and waiting for the IV. I was anxious about the IV due to my past history with blood tests so I shared my anxiety with the doctor. "No problem!" he said, and next thing I knew I was inhaling nitrous oxide. I still felt the IV going in, but I simply didn't care (and frankly, it was never the pain that freaked me out but instead the whole concept of a needle going into my forearm). Once the IV was in, the doctor immediately injected the anesthesia and the next thing I knew I was waking up and it was all over. There was gauze in my mouth, the nurse (or dental hygenist? I'm not sure...) was giving my dad care instructions, and I was on my way home. For the first hour I was very groggy. I kept spacing out and falling in and out of consciousness. Once I got home I took the gauze out and saw the wondrous sight of my mouth covered in blood. I immediately began applying ice packs to my cheeks and jaw. So far they have prevented any awful swelling. My dad made me scrambled eggs so that the percocet and penicilin wouldn't be the only things in my stomach. Unfortunately, since I could not (and still cannot) feel my tongue or lower lip, they were impossible to eat and I ended up spitting out a bloody mass that slightly resembled scrambeled eggs. Aren't you glad this isn't a photo TR? Luckily my Netflix movies came so I have spent my time as a mentally challenged teenager (I keep flicking my lower lip since I can't feel it...) watching Donnie Darko and A Dirty Shame. Next is LOTR, Return of the King! Overall, the experience has been fine so far and isn't reminiscent at all of horror stories I've read on the internet in the past week. I have very little pain (Most likely due to my age though... I got them out at the right time), the bleeding finally stopped, I'm lucid, and I'm eating. Unfortunately the narcotics are making me a bit sick, but I have yet to throw up! I'll be sure to keep you guys updated... Mark "I hope I feel good enough to go paintballing on friday!" Luskus
  6. I'd hope that half of the parks would burn down so I wouldn't die of debt. Mark "I figure all hope is lost at this point, right?" Luskus
  7. 18+ feet of water in New Orleans?? NICE!!! Mark "My ex goes to school there, hahaha" Luskus
  8. Hmm maybe I should be applying to schools in Florida, not in places with miserable weather! Glad to hear you're enjoying college Frade! It sounds like it should be a great four years. I can't think of a better way to relieve stress than to visit some central florida theme parks. Mark "That sounds like fun" Luskus
  9. A house is being built nextdoor. The contractor is our nextdoor neighbor so youd figure that he would be considerate. Apparently not. At 8:30 this morning (A SATURDAY!!!) he starts jackhammering. It was so rude!
  10. I wish I could go to the MK on a whim. Mark "I suppose I could always go to Sesame place" Luskus
  11. This really isn't very funny. It was my first time doing photoshop so I tried to do something as simple as possible.
  12. ^^ I think I threw up a little bit. Mark "But I kind of want fried rice now" Luskus
  13. This sounds like fun but unfortunately any large expensive trip that I'll be doing next summer is going to be a high school graduation trip with my school buddies. Then again, I'm not sure if any of my friends parents will allow them to do that so I'll have to give this some serious thought. Mark "Needs to explore Europe!" Luskus
  14. ^ Hehe yeah, I'm still here. Mark "Only 3 parks this season though... It pales in comparison to last year!" Luskus
  15. Oh man I really want to do this. I've been drooling over this event for a while. I'll ask the parents... I think they'll be OK with it, though I'm sure I'll have to do some SAT work while in the hotel! Mark "I need a vacation" Luskus
  16. Oh I need this thread all right... What I hate is having a parent who gives you no freedom in making a choice about what major you want to study in college and thereby practically forces you to study something that will result in a boring and miserable job (but it'll "look good"). God forbid I study something that will result in a job that I'll enjoy. Sure, the pay might suck, but it is my life... Also, I'm sick of this same parent pushing prestigious colleges on me (Mark go to Upenn! Mark go to Cornell! Mark go to Tufts!) when really I just want to go to a small liberal arts school where I can relax and not feel like I'm in a pressure cooker. Mark "I'm almost 18. I'm almost 18. I'm almost 18" Luskus
  17. I'd have to go with Kingda Ka. The park did a GREAT job with the ride and the Golden Kingdom. TTD just felt sterile to me.

    Braces

I had braces for three years and have had them off for nearly a year. I've made sure to wear my retainer (and I'm actually wearing it right now) so my teeth are still straight. Mark "Wear your retainer!!" Luskus
  19. Good luck but as a word of caution don't get sucked into any scams! Mark "Watching more reruns than I'd like to admit of Americas Next Top Model has shown me that before those girls were taken in by Tyra Banks they were used and scammed!" Luskus
  20. Before I read through the entire article to see that she only ate 1400 calories a day I was going to claim that she had a tapeworm... Mark "I'm in an 'eww mcdonalds' mood this week" Luskus

  22. ^thats the way my school is. You can't play cards because it promotes gambling (even though practically no one gambles), no message boards or email can be visited on the computers, and there is a striclty enforced dress code. Mark "College, please get here now" Luskus
  23. ^ At least if you go to Bob Jones University you'll already be used to a strict dress code! Mark "I start my first day as a high school senior on September 7th" Luskus
  24. Skim boarding just leads to injuries (at least for me!). Mark "My butt still hurts" Luskus
