That looks amazing. I'll have to try and make that, as I love salmon and thai food. dt -

Six Flags May Not Survive 2009...
Meteornotes replied to sfmmrules!'s topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I normally don't find that guy funny, but the Sbarro part was hilarious. And he could have been way meaner about Six Flags than he was. The jokes pretty much write themselves on that topic... dt -

DINOSAUR HAS ITS OWN TOY LINE?!?!?!? This is the greatest thing since the invention of the toaster. I may have to make space in my office for some new items. dt -
Amusement Park Drive In!
Meteornotes replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That is awesome! Though I wonder how clean the bathrooms stay on a Friday or Saturday night. Then again, most park bathrooms are not too clean, so... dt -
2009 Academy Award Winners - The "Oscars"
Meteornotes replied to robbalvey's topic in Random, Random, Random
I thought Ledger was very good as the Joker, and the highlight of a very overrated movie. Though I doubt he would have won the award if he was still alive. This is not the sort of role the academy likes to reward. I still think Robert Downey Jr. should have been nominated for Iron Man, as he just absolutely nails that part. I have not seen any of the best picture nominees from this year. I rarely go to the movies any more, as it requires me to interact with far too many annoying people that won't shut up and/or turn off their phones. So I'll catch them as they show up on DVD or the movie channels. dt -

I think the park looked horrible. I had no idea the level of what they're currently doing there. It really looks bad, and I can see why someone that had never visited would be bothered by it. There really should be a deep discount for admission, and not just for locals, given the state of the place. Not that DCA was fun before they started ripping it apart, of course, but that's a whole other discussion... dt

^Yes, but the article didn't report about the company's connections to the Illuminati and their orbital mind-control lasers. Again, a tin foil hat is going to be your only protection in this war for truth. Seriously, I think I've seen higher journalism standards in the Weekly World News when they used to report on Bat Boy... dt

Megafobia or Rampage
Meteornotes replied to Mit deLuxe's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Going to have to give the edge to Rampage as well. Megafobia did not deliver on what I thought it could do in 2006. Like others have said, it seemed very sluggish, even in the afternoon. Rampage did run very well, though it has been years since I've been on it, and I look forward to trying it again this year. dt -

SFNO/Jazzland Discussion Thread
Meteornotes replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Once again, Jeff Johnson shows us the way. Just amazing. Give it up. SFNO is NEVER going to re-open. The park would have failed anyway. It's just not a good location for a park. dt -
