  3. Come on.. it isn't that bad.

  5. If I had to pick a winner out of these 5, Nick's video would win by a long shot. The interesting angles, terrific editing, and abundance of non-coaster content is going to be hard to beat. "Paula... what do you think?
  6. I'm going to call a new Valentine's Day section, with a coaster.
  7. Third Bottom Line: Every coaster can be a "family" coaster
  8. What you/we/they need to answer is what is a family ride/coaster? My family has two near-50 adults, a 21, 19, & 13 year old. We are all big enough to enjoy something like Powder Keg as a family. But a family of five (2 adults with 3 children under 10) isn't going to enjoy it so much. Bottom Line: It's media spin. They are going to spin it to fit into their park. Now to answer your actual question... I think that even some of the bravest children who are tall enough will not ride/enjoy the ride. I can think of a few times while riding (going down the first hill and experiencing the wicked banking) when I said, "Oh shit!" Imagine what a child would think. Second Bottom Line: Powder Keg is a fun coaster definitely for an older crowd than the Ore Cart had.
  9. Here is mine. You can see I'm a little anal about my desktop. It does get messy but when I clean it, I clean it good. Here are some of my other favorite wallpapers. The following are all by me, images and tweaking (except for the one I'm in ). Yours truly...
  10. Copy and paste the text into a word processor, then change the font color to whatever floats your boat.
  11. If I did I would be putting out my own videos... after I got a camera. You may want to ask Robb. I hear he has put out a few.
  12. I really liked the shots, steady and interesting. My only advice is to look into cutting down that 62 MB file size.
  13. Stich: You are right. You never said, "their opinions are wrong." However, you called them lunatics and ignorant. You dissed them for their opinions about a park and attractions that they love. Remember, you were one of "them" not too long ago. Now, the only intolerance you are reading from me is the intolerance I have of people criticizing the opinions of others (i.e. "I love to go on to the PKI fan sites and just tell it like it is and watch the members get mad at what I say." You may tell it like you see it, but why would you go to a PKI fan site to diss it? Lame.). If I were one to point fingers, I would point mine at your signature, which shows your "top three rides" all located at one park. What you say to me if I told you that I saw a video of those rides and thought they were "crappy?" Second Point: Debate is debate, but don't be throwing down insults. It does nothing for the creditability of your opinion which I, as all should, respect. I'm not trying to start up anything, only trying to get peace for the whole world.
  14. Drive to Kennywood... Google Maps puts a one way trip at around 3.25 hours.
  15. I can partially relate with you. I have gotten "tired" of the same 'ol at the park. However, trying to piss off fans of the park is immature and pointless. Perhaps those people have also seen other parks but believe that PKI has something that the others don't. The point is that everyone has opinions and you should respect those opinions, even if you believe that they aren't "right."
  16. Ceramic Engineer & Busser at a local restaurant. (Ceramic Engineer was the actual job title I applied for. Go figure...) I'll be working in Sandusky as a ride op on Mean Streak before returning to the restaurant job in the fall.
  17. My vote is for the GL/KW combo for PR & JR alone! If your vacation is going to be more than coasters (i.e. Branson shows), then the MO trip would make the most sense. If you are strictly into coasters/flats, then skip MO and head east because SDC/CC are pretty sparse in the ride department. However, SFStL is a fun park with some decent coasters and a few good flats. If you throw out some more info we may be able to give you a little more information.
  18. In chronological order... This is my "I got wetter than I thought I would" picture taken last summer at Hershey. My girlfriend was the smart one that opted out of that ride. Knoebel's Snappin' Action This is me in the "World Largest Ruby Tuesdays" in Branson two weekends ago. I was trying to make pouty lips but it looks like something else I won't detail. (Take notice of my margarita that is in a mug. *sigh* They had a 2 for 1 special, so I asked her to bring me one. She ended up bringing me both of them at ones, both in mugs, not typical glasses. I was pissed.)
  19. ^^^ Does his name rhyme with Snobby Day?
