  1. Thanks, but which Stitch picture are you referring to? There are at least three in this report.
  2. I would have to say Tokyo Disneyland Resort (preferably DisneySea) even though I have not been there yet (25 days and counting). The resort has so much more detail than any other park I have ever seen. I guess I will have to wait to confirm my vote until I get to Tokyo, but I'm am confident that I have made the right choice.
  3. Another great TR Erik! I'm sorry I missed you and Soren, but I also was able to hang out with Leanne for some of the time I was with the gang. Everybody in TPR is so nice!
  4. Hey Robb, are you going to post the photos and video from Thursday during the day? I am curious to know what kind of awesome footage you got (plus your video of Ryan pounding it probably came out better than mine).
  5. Or those 2 even comparable? Not in popularity (but remember Drachen Fire came after Kumba and Kumba is still incredibly popular), but in coaster/ride type, yes.
  6. Hey Soren, what time did you get to Universal? I was there with the gang until about 6:00 p.m. I didn't see you or Erik Johnson there (though Erik's wife was there). Also, Stephanie and I missed you yesterday at Epcot. Germany just wasn't the same without you!
  7. The last of the photo posts... Teacups anyone? Johnny Depp has been toy-ified! Does this count as a rodent credit? What is this world coming to? Stephanie skinned Stitch and used him as a costume... The back of the Dream Fastpass explains the rules and how to use it. The Dream Fastpass is only valid on the day that it is given to you (and that day is printed on the pass and all of the stubs). Here is the front of the Dream Fastpass we were given. There were more tabs on it, but we used most of them. Isn't it odd that the only one we didn't use was Stitch's Great Escape? This is the movie ticket to the film, just in case you couldn't tell... We actually got to keep these glasses! The warning on the back says not to wear them as sunglasses though. It warns that if you do so, your eyes will be burned out of your skull. Here we are: About to watch the Nightmare Before Christmas in 3-D. Don't we look cool? Its definitely Halloween time in Disney. "I'm a ghost with a hole in my belly...Now give me some candy!"
  8. More photo goodness! One of the new sodas at Club Cool is another take on Fanta. I call it, "Tylenol Fanta." The watermelon soda from China is back and you know what that means... "Double Shots!" A Soren-less doll station in Germany. This donkey is just perfect for a TPR trip report! Paying tribute to Ryan while eating Cheese soup. Ryan, we will never forget you! The new decorations for the Year of a Million Dreams have been extended to cover the monorails. Figzilla doesn't know that I have a knife behind his back. Prepare to be shanked Figment! The bottom of the lanyard has this card attached to it. On the lanyard, is a woven "Where my dreams came true." Sorry to tell the Dream Squad, but I don't dream of getting a lanyard. I want an Imagination with the Dreamfinder and a non-annoying Figment. The old Tomorrowland Skyway station sits there, waiting for something good to come to it. Steph and I decided to watch the High School Musical Pep Rally since everything else had a line (even the TTA) and I figured I could make a video out of it. Over at the Magic Kingdom, Mainstreet is having some work done. This was set up at the exit of Spaceship Earth. I got 2 of the 3 questions right. The new post-show of Spaceship Earth is set to open in 2007 along with a revamped finale to the ride. I don't know what others thought about this one, but I didn't taste any apples (or anything else for that matter). Stitch has really invaded Walt Disney World.
  9. Yesterday my cousin Stephanie and I went to Disney for some food, some rides and a movie. Basically, the pictures will explain it all... Epcot looks awesome as always, except for the wand... Stitch hitched a ride on this monorail... Nightmare Before Christmas in 3-D was amazingly cool. The movie looks brand new! At the TTC, we waited for a monorail to get to Epcot. We would have parked at Epcot, but they were using the parking lot for excess parking for the Funai Classic. I really do love Florida! This is the front of the lanyard and pin set that they gave us for (I guess) being at the Imagination pavilion. I guess I should make more trips to see Figment after all! It just figures that the Dream Squad would be giving out non-purchasable freebies inside the emptiest pavilion in the park-Imagination. Bruce is a friend, not food. Just remember everyone, don't hunt sharks and they won't hunt you...Jaws was innocent! We love the new entrance to the pavilion! Soft openings have begun at the new Seas with Nemo and Friends. The lines have been running at about 20-45 minutes.
  10. Because Busch likes to be at the top of the popular coaster chain when it comes to theme parks. They almost always test a new ride system or type at BGA (Tampa) and if it is successful, an updated (and normally better) version is placed in BGE (Williamsburg). Apollo's Chariot and Gwazi and Curse of DarKastle are exceptions to this case. BGA hasn't set aside space for an out and back hyper coaster, though the space is there-they have to go outside of the park area, but I really can't say much more than that... Gwazi is considered one of Busch's only truly unsuccessful investments, playing as a huge factor for why BGE never gotten a wooden (or dueling wooden) coaster. DarKastle basically is BGE's version of Gwazi in the sense that it is their new ride for that year. We got Gwazi, but you didn't get anything until DarKastle. Basically we started with Python and then you got Nessie. Next we got Kumba and you got Drachen Fire. After that, we got Montu and then you got Alpengeist. Now, after we have gotten Sheikra, you are getting Griffon. So the cycle continues...
  11. Um...Thanks I guess... I am gunna request that you don't say anything more on this subject though...
  12. These are the last of the photos I have to share, so forgive the double post. Just a little goodie I made (sorry it isn't the best quality but I tried). Caeser Salad with Oak Grilled Salmon- The best I have ever had! Pecan Crusted Chicken...sweet (literally)! I told you Ryan! Whenever we see Ketchup in a Heinz container, we will think of you! If you hadn't guessed already, we chose the food. Since Mythos was closed, we decided to try NBA City.
  13. Lets take a step back to the day of the HHN meet (not HHN itself since I didn't stick around for that)... Hu: The Theme Park Review Crew How: An all day ride-fest! Ryan didn't like our Jurassic Park as much as Hollywood's... No!!! Robb and Ryan-The Perfect couple! We all waited for lockers due to the fact that all of the cast members were being bag nazis. Does this make the Hulk look fat? Ryan and Joe were the first two TPR members I met at IOA. Ryan just being Ryan... Why didn't E.T. put the Speak n' Spell to good use? He only got 3/4 of Ryan's name right. Now, we have to start calling him Yan. Back to the Future is OUTATIME...And apparantly, so am I... Ryan, Zorro, Catherine Zeta Jones and my cousin Stephanie. Notice Ryan pounded Zorro! Signature moves all around! More of Ryan and Robb goodness. Is it possible to have an awesome trip without Robb? We owned Dueling Dragons and that is a fact! Steph and I asked ourselves, "Which do we want more, to be scared like crazy (or as Ryan and I have agreed, have the living daylights scared out of us) or eat good food?" Well, just wait and see what we chose!
  14. Actually, that was Guy who said drop the attitude. Glad you all liked the video!
  15. Here is the video of Ryan from today's visit to Universal. I will upload my photos tomorrow after school. (And yes, Robb gave me permission to stream this video.) ryanpounditking.wmv
  16. There really isn't enough room. But, the point of keeping it when it is the least popular coaster in the park isn't apparant.
  17. Hey guys. I can tell you it is still there, as I rode it on Saturday and took a full POV from the back row. It was as rough as I remembered it two years ago (even though I have gone back since then, I neglected to ride it until now, when I wanted to get to ride it one last time before its gone forever). My dad and I both got of the ride feeling like we were run over by the Python rather than riding it. I now have hopped on the bandwagon of those who believe that the Python deserves to go after its long run at the park. I feel happy for those Orangutans that are getting a home again since they had been homeless after Sheikra was built (just for your information, that is part of the Congo plan).
  18. To see the videos that go along with this trip report, you can go here.
  19. Another awesome trip report Erik. Thank you for finally showing me the face of the great mod Wes.
  20. ^Thank you very much. I also have plenty of footage from this week that I have yet to put together. Between all four parks that I went to, I will have plenty (hopefully) to make a nice trip report video. I also plan on releasing my raw footage from the trip which includes Cheetah Chase, the Python and Back to the Future. This is the last photo portion of the trip report. The videos should be up within in the next few days. Um...Yeah... Due to Howl-O-Scream, the park closed at 5:00 p.m. leaving us with less time to enjoy the rides. I guess I will just have to come back another time! The old monorail station has now become a scare zone for Howl-O-Scream. The suspended monorail once traveled over the Serengetti but was removed to make way for a larger animal area and Rhino Rally. One of the nicest and most detailed topiaries I have ever seen sits (or leaps) in front of my favorite restaurant, Crown Colony. Akbar's Flying Carpet Tours has been closed for over five years now. It is still considered a working attraction, leaving its status left as SBNO (Standing but not Operating). The ride building is currently being used as a scare zone for Howl-O-Scream. What Theme Park Review Trip Report would be complete with a Donkey? The skyway was open and closed on and off today due to high winds. I thought the sign was pretty funny. The Howl-O-Scream map doesn't look all that different from the park's regular map. The best coaster for airtime in all of Florida. Yeah...That is me on the Phoenix. This is a rare sight. I worked up my courage and finally faced the Phoenix for the first time. Being a passholder, you get to enter through the Nairobi Gate.
  21. They have it listed as a coaster in Roller Coaster Tycoon 3- so it must be a coaster!
  22. More from Day 3 Its a small world! is still the most annoying attraction in all of Walt Disney World. Someone wasn't able to get off of Space Mountain fast enough, so the ride shut down as part of its built in safety mechanism. The lights came on, giving us a nice view of the aging tracks. Space Mountain was running both Alpha and Gemini sides tonight and yet, it still had a 70 minute standby wait. Thats what makes the fastpass so handy! I love Tomorrowland at night! Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor Comedy Club is replacing the Timekeeper (one of my favorite shows). Anyone planning on going to the passholder previews? I decided to skip out on Stitch's Great Escape. I can still smell the chili dog from last week's ride. We got into the park right as Spectromagic was beginning. We came back to Disney later in the day, parking at the Contemporary so that we could take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. See what I mean when I say obsessed? Does the person on this box really need a cellulite waist? I am starting to think that the Japanese are obsessed with fighting cellulite. Japan is selling a cannibal control mask like the one that Hannibal Lector wears. Isn't that interesting? I promise I am telling the truth when I say that this cast member demanded that I include him in my photo. Ireland didn't really have anything that fit my tastebuds. It never has. Poland had incredible Pirogis and Kielbasa. If you can't already tell-I love Epcot's Food and Wine Festival (though I have a few more years before I can enjoy the wine)!
  23. ^Thanks! Continuing with my Trip Report: Day 3 Canada's Cheddar Cheese Bacon Beer soup is amazing. Greece has awesome Spanikoppitas (a spinach pastry). EPCOT Center's original logo is engraved in the ground at the midpoint (or center of the park) between the World Showcase, the hub and Future World. Ever wonder what happened to the original Dreamcatcher from the original iteration of Journey into Imagination? Look no further. This can be found if you look hard enough in MouseGear. Lots of wine! Lots of wine glasses! This module/pod is currently being gutted so that it can become a path to the second pre-show theater (the one that was previously untouched by the construction of the ride) to the expanded theater version of Turtle Talk with Crush. The new theater will a This is the one portion of the tank where the ride actually shows real water and projects characters like Nemo, Dorey and Crush into the tank. After walking through one of the coolest queues that I have ever seen (they really went the extra mile with this one), you board your redone Seacabs (I mean Clammobiles) to help find Nemo. The old pre-pre-pre-show holding room (yes, I meant to type that) has been redecorated to make you think that you are walking up/down the beach. From the minute you walk up to the pavilion, you feel like you aren't in Epcot anymore. A wall of ferns was set up in front of The Seas with Nemo and Friends (formerly The Living Seas) so that the park could organize and allow passholders to preview the new ride. Is that Gilbert Godfried working at Epcot now? Epcot's Hub really shined this morning! The new fingerprint scanners have been added to Epcot's Turnstiles. Too bad they weren't being used.
  24. #13 is now my favorite of all of your comics on this thread!
