  1. ^ "Fire, Fire Fire!" when we were walking up into Jurassic Park, and then on the River Adventure where the sparks were- more "Fire, Fire, Fire!"
  2. I swear the Power Rangers must have been alot more cool when I watched them (way back in the day), because these ones just look lame. Nice TR though! Did you see the electrocuted people on the left elevator shaft during your drop sequence this time?
  3. Join the TPR crew for a few days while your there. It is guaranteed to be an experience you will never forget. Or... ...it might be an experience you will want to permanantly erase from your memory. Either way, it would be an experience. Whether you remember it or not. I can attest to that, and I was only with the group for one day. I thought it was a memorable experience. In fact, it has made me even more giddy in anticipation for the 2008 Summer trips, as I hope to go on one that year. I got to have plenty of time with Ryan, Guy, Robb and Erik's wife. I also got to talk with everyone else including Dave and Elissa. Everyone was extremely welcoming and within the first few minutes, my feeling of being an outsider went away. But, I guess that could also be attributed to Guy's fire noises at the beginning of the day (still the best Guy)!
  4. Its not even the restraints. The corkscrews are so loose and you go through them so slowly that you can't help but be in pain the entire time. Plus, the drop comes so quickly (at least from the back) that you hurt you rear on the landing.
  5. Its worse than an SLC. Lets just say that... My ears still hurt from my ride three weeks ago!
  6. I'm not judging on how smooth the rides were. I actually found Cypress Gardens to be a pretty big let down. None of the coasters were on par with anything else I have ever ridden. Triple Hurricane was extremely short, extremely dull and lacking in the charm that most wooden coasters possess. Gwazi actually has all of the things that Triple Hurricane lacks: Airtime, excitement and the creeky and bouncy charm of a wooden coaster.
  7. ^Python is one of them. Racer at PKI Swamp Thing and the Triple Hurricane at Cypress Gardens
  8. The Racer- Paramount Kings Island Python- Busch Gardens Africa (soon to be history)
  9. Kraken- My brother dragged me on the ride and about half way up the lift hill, I realize that there is more to the ride than what is visible from the queue (basically, I missed a vertical loop and a batwing). I basically cursed out my brother for the first time in my life we went up. I told him that he was going to kill me, I was gunna die and that he should burn. Of course, I didn't mean that (this was back when I was still a non-coaster enthusiast, in fact, far from it). After the ride, I was so happy that I enjoyed it, we went back on 20 more times that day. Sky Shot- I had wanted to ride it for a while, so on my last day before school, my parents gave me the choice of what to do with the family for the day. We did SkyVenture first and after our flight, we stopped at Magical Midway and I got in line. Once in the car (alone, since everyone else in my family are not as insane as I have become), I was lowered into the launch tube with smoke coming over the top so I couldn't see the sky. I thought to myself that I was technically killing myself by doing it, but the "You only live once..." quote came into my head. I laid my head back and as I did, the car flung forward. That was basically the only time I have greyed out on a thrill ride-even though it was amazingly fun and amazingly painful at the same time. At the end of the ride, I stopped screaming and failing my legs. Due to this, my parents (looking from the ground-up) thought I was either unconcious or dead. I landed down and laughed my head off as my legs tried to gain enough strength (and blood) to support my body weight. It truly is and will be one of the most memorable and insane "I'm gunna Die" moments I will ever have.
  10. Not saying that the Python doesn't deserve to go (because its time is definitely up), this is the first and only permanent corkscrew coaster Florida has had (I say permanent because we have had some come with fairs). Floridians are losing their one corkscrew coaster- but to me, its a needed loss.
  11. Michael Jackson (Or has that been done?) Robb and Elissa Coaster Sooper Dooper Looper Scooper Kim Possible Gravity Grid (Guy would like this one)
  12. While the Cop Car Chase looked like a fun ride, I can't resist the urge to get wet and then dry off on a Stargate themed Simulator. I love Stargate!
  13. Thanks, but which Stitch picture are you referring to? There are at least three in this report.
  14. I would have to say Tokyo Disneyland Resort (preferably DisneySea) even though I have not been there yet (25 days and counting). The resort has so much more detail than any other park I have ever seen. I guess I will have to wait to confirm my vote until I get to Tokyo, but I'm am confident that I have made the right choice.
  15. Another great TR Erik! I'm sorry I missed you and Soren, but I also was able to hang out with Leanne for some of the time I was with the gang. Everybody in TPR is so nice!
  16. Hey Robb, are you going to post the photos and video from Thursday during the day? I am curious to know what kind of awesome footage you got (plus your video of Ryan pounding it probably came out better than mine).
  17. Or those 2 even comparable? Not in popularity (but remember Drachen Fire came after Kumba and Kumba is still incredibly popular), but in coaster/ride type, yes.
  18. Hey Soren, what time did you get to Universal? I was there with the gang until about 6:00 p.m. I didn't see you or Erik Johnson there (though Erik's wife was there). Also, Stephanie and I missed you yesterday at Epcot. Germany just wasn't the same without you!
  19. The last of the photo posts... Teacups anyone? Johnny Depp has been toy-ified! Does this count as a rodent credit? What is this world coming to? Stephanie skinned Stitch and used him as a costume... The back of the Dream Fastpass explains the rules and how to use it. The Dream Fastpass is only valid on the day that it is given to you (and that day is printed on the pass and all of the stubs). Here is the front of the Dream Fastpass we were given. There were more tabs on it, but we used most of them. Isn't it odd that the only one we didn't use was Stitch's Great Escape? This is the movie ticket to the film, just in case you couldn't tell... We actually got to keep these glasses! The warning on the back says not to wear them as sunglasses though. It warns that if you do so, your eyes will be burned out of your skull. Here we are: About to watch the Nightmare Before Christmas in 3-D. Don't we look cool? Its definitely Halloween time in Disney. "I'm a ghost with a hole in my belly...Now give me some candy!"
  20. More photo goodness! One of the new sodas at Club Cool is another take on Fanta. I call it, "Tylenol Fanta." The watermelon soda from China is back and you know what that means... "Double Shots!" A Soren-less doll station in Germany. This donkey is just perfect for a TPR trip report! Paying tribute to Ryan while eating Cheese soup. Ryan, we will never forget you! The new decorations for the Year of a Million Dreams have been extended to cover the monorails. Figzilla doesn't know that I have a knife behind his back. Prepare to be shanked Figment! The bottom of the lanyard has this card attached to it. On the lanyard, is a woven "Where my dreams came true." Sorry to tell the Dream Squad, but I don't dream of getting a lanyard. I want an Imagination with the Dreamfinder and a non-annoying Figment. The old Tomorrowland Skyway station sits there, waiting for something good to come to it. Steph and I decided to watch the High School Musical Pep Rally since everything else had a line (even the TTA) and I figured I could make a video out of it. Over at the Magic Kingdom, Mainstreet is having some work done. This was set up at the exit of Spaceship Earth. I got 2 of the 3 questions right. The new post-show of Spaceship Earth is set to open in 2007 along with a revamped finale to the ride. I don't know what others thought about this one, but I didn't taste any apples (or anything else for that matter). Stitch has really invaded Walt Disney World.
  21. Yesterday my cousin Stephanie and I went to Disney for some food, some rides and a movie. Basically, the pictures will explain it all... Epcot looks awesome as always, except for the wand... Stitch hitched a ride on this monorail... Nightmare Before Christmas in 3-D was amazingly cool. The movie looks brand new! At the TTC, we waited for a monorail to get to Epcot. We would have parked at Epcot, but they were using the parking lot for excess parking for the Funai Classic. I really do love Florida! This is the front of the lanyard and pin set that they gave us for (I guess) being at the Imagination pavilion. I guess I should make more trips to see Figment after all! It just figures that the Dream Squad would be giving out non-purchasable freebies inside the emptiest pavilion in the park-Imagination. Bruce is a friend, not food. Just remember everyone, don't hunt sharks and they won't hunt you...Jaws was innocent! We love the new entrance to the pavilion! Soft openings have begun at the new Seas with Nemo and Friends. The lines have been running at about 20-45 minutes.
  22. Because Busch likes to be at the top of the popular coaster chain when it comes to theme parks. They almost always test a new ride system or type at BGA (Tampa) and if it is successful, an updated (and normally better) version is placed in BGE (Williamsburg). Apollo's Chariot and Gwazi and Curse of DarKastle are exceptions to this case. BGA hasn't set aside space for an out and back hyper coaster, though the space is there-they have to go outside of the park area, but I really can't say much more than that... Gwazi is considered one of Busch's only truly unsuccessful investments, playing as a huge factor for why BGE never gotten a wooden (or dueling wooden) coaster. DarKastle basically is BGE's version of Gwazi in the sense that it is their new ride for that year. We got Gwazi, but you didn't get anything until DarKastle. Basically we started with Python and then you got Nessie. Next we got Kumba and you got Drachen Fire. After that, we got Montu and then you got Alpengeist. Now, after we have gotten Sheikra, you are getting Griffon. So the cycle continues...
  23. Um...Thanks I guess... I am gunna request that you don't say anything more on this subject though...
  24. These are the last of the photos I have to share, so forgive the double post. Just a little goodie I made (sorry it isn't the best quality but I tried). Caeser Salad with Oak Grilled Salmon- The best I have ever had! Pecan Crusted Chicken...sweet (literally)! I told you Ryan! Whenever we see Ketchup in a Heinz container, we will think of you! If you hadn't guessed already, we chose the food. Since Mythos was closed, we decided to try NBA City.
