  1. It seems that my magical TPR hoodie has brought me luck by allowing me to catch one of the sneak previews of the Laugh Floor Comedy Club at the Magic Kingdom. We ended up spending 25 minutes in a queue lacking any A/C or pre-show, but we figured it would be worth the wait. The show itself had very little substance and not even the little ones laughed at the jokes that were made. The use of the "Living Character" technology in the show had potential, but its use was minimal, singling out a few guests during the show so that they monsters could tell a few jokes. The Laugh Canister filled up not by gauging the actual amount of laughter from the audience, but just by the current monster finishing his or her act. The show didn't seem to connect with Tomorrowland at all, but the lack of pre-show might have been the reason for that. I wasn't able to take any photos inside of the theater as I was filming my walk-through as much as possible until a cast member told me to turn off the camera. I do have the video, so if you are all interested in seeing it, I just have to know if it is alright to post it on this thread or to move it to the Videographers forum. I still think an interactive version of the Timekeeper would have been better... The option to text jokes for the show was neither explained nor used for our preview. There is a second queue room (supposidly the pre-show room) behind this large door... An interesting light fixture in the queue... More banners... The closer we got towards the end of the queue, the more this sign reflected the attraction... At least the old bubble tubes from the Timekeeper are still there... The queue has an interesting setup... Hopefully my expectations aren't proven correct... It can't be! Is it open?!? Once again, my thanks go towards the magical hoodie! More texting information... Too bad Sully doesn't even appear in the show... Looks like Hal has made his way into Disney... I'm beginning to doubt that...
  2. So are Guy and Kim back together?
  3. I wouldn't think so considering that the OLC owns too many rights to the attractions in the park. The entire park would have to be redone (except for maybe the Mermaid Lagoon or Port Discovery, as they both showed up in the blue sky concept art for use in one of the regional based parks).
  4. ^^ I like all kinds of water except yellow and brown... ^Thanks! I hope to see your trip report when you upload it!
  5. ^Unfortunately, it didn't transport me to Castles and Coasters (or any park for that matter). Glad you caught the tribute there! Here are the last of the photos from this weekend... This time around, I wasn't able to go on the Dania Beach Hurricane, but who knows? Maybe next time I can convince my brother to drive me over for an hour or two... Say goodbye to the Majesty of the Sea for now! The ship is nearly empty as we prepare to leave... It can't be!?!? The curse of the Windjammer?!?! The Miami skyline was beautiful today. The next morning (Day 4), I woke up and we were back in Miami. Time for some breakfast...
  6. ^You are right. That was my exhaustion typing then. Sorry about that! In fact, I am still a little shaken from the boat, as yesterday, when I got home, sitting at my desk still made me feel like I was on the boat, rocking back and forth.
  7. I was wondering where he went. Tom, are you going on the Mainland Europe tour in 2008?
  8. I thought it was a dog, but I could be wrong... This man seemed to be having a good time when this photo was taken... I ended up going to sleep while the boat rocked back and forth on waves such as this... Our ship was pretty well equiped... On this night, I could actually tell what animal was on my bed... Double Strawberry Cheesecake for dessert!!! The dinner for day 3 was French cuisine. There was a sorbet served in between the appetizer and main course. The last time I had something like this was back when I visited Spain... The sunset from the top of the Voyager's Crown. A nice view from the Voyager's Crown. It was because of this weather that we didn't end up leaving the ship on the day we docked at Nasau... Two more years until I can legally go into here... Nasau's only visible navy craft in the port. This seems like a mix between something out of The Shining and Titanic... What happens for Bonnie if she goes that way? Notice how desperately this girl tries to fight the oncoming wind... I woke up to this sight on Day 3...
  9. ^Font aside, there was no Tom Cruise, but there were others my age on the ship. I didn't really have time to hang out with them as I was running around with my family for my father's fraternity reunion for the majority of the time on the ship. Here are the pictures from day 2 of the cruise... I return to my room to find this lovely creature on my bed, finishing off day two of the cruise... After midnight, the main deck is empty... $3.50 for the Signature Smokehouse burger? I can handle that! Notice that the only items with prices are the shakes and malts. Everything else is included (but what isn't shown on the menu is that there is a $3.50 service charge per person). "Johnny Rockets at Sea" is what the restaurant is referred to. Stephanie and I at Johnny Rockets... Johnny Rockets was open so we indulged in its fatty foods... Heading back to the ship for lunch... Me after the WaveRunner tour... She is beautiful too! That's our ship right there! Looks a bit like LOST doesn't it? You can't get that kind of experience in many places... On the WaveRunner tour (jet skis), our guide took us over to a shallow area of the island, dove in and grabbed a starfish for us to hold. Beautiful isn't it?
  10. This past weekend, my family and I went on the Royal Caribbean's Majesty of the Sea cruise to CocoCay and Nasau. The ship was in its second week of operation since its return from dry dock where it was worked on and changed in some ways. These changes were noticable as I had been on the same cruise on the same ship less than two years before. From waverunning at CocoCay to a "mini-monsoon" in Nasau, our adventures were definitely unforgettable. Some of these pictures can justify why... The view from our room on deck 2... The opening night's show was fairly decent-for a cruise show... "I am Atlas, hear me roar! Oh, and go Gators!!!" They had a funky musician on the boat... All of the games were lame except for this one... Time Crisis 4! The magical hoodie returns! Ooh! A game room...with some pretty lame games... I decided to pass on the basketball for today. The rock wall hasn't changed... One of the pools wasn't ready... Out on the deck before departure... They have a Johnny Rockets on the ship?!?! No way!!! Now, there is a Sorrento's pizzaria on the ship! Welcome to the Majesty of the Sea.
  11. Didn't they use the MOA as the setting for Baby Geniuses?
  12. Another very nice plot twist for an already amazing series. Keep up the awesome work!
  13. You aren't missing much... Toad was so much better (in my opinion).
  14. ^Sorry. Forgot to put that the cameo was made in DisneyQuest's Invasion! He basically comes to a presidential release announcing that X-S Tech will be providing your crawlers for the rescue mission.
  15. ^ I though he meant was it directly related to the former attraction. I read too much into it...
  16. All that is left of Alien Encouter (Disney's version) is Skippy in Stitch's Great Escape and a cameo from X-S Tech and Chairman Clench in DisneyQuest's Invasion!
  17. ^No, they are retheming it so that they ride can become more popular and more familiar with guests of a younger age. The audio problems were just one of those errors that they never fixed during the pre-Caballeros era of El Rio del Tiempo.
  18. Space Mountain, the Beast, Rock n' Rollercoaster, Expedition Everest, Revenge of the Mummy (Florida) are a few...
  19. What about the iPod video formatted versions of our videos (as I know you had been pushing that at one point)? Do we also upload that or should we wait until the video gets a certain amount of downloads before uploading an MP4 version of the video?
  20. The closest I can relate to this would be two events that both took place at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay/Africa: 1. My first ride on the Python caused me to have a gray-out. Those corkscrews really were killer... 2. We went to Busch Gardens on one of the least busy days of the year (off season for tourists). I rode every coaster at least ten times and threw off my equilibrium. That basically got me a one day ticket to stay in bed as I could barely stand up without getting dizzy. Now, I am a little more careful... I only ride Busch Garden's coasters 5-8 times each per visit...
  21. Now El Rio del Tiempo's storyline will be changed to accomodate the Three Cabalerros, which is fine because those street salespeople never had their voices properly synced up.
  22. I wish they would open something like this to the public. They could probably prepare the astronauts for weightlessness just by letting them ride on that first drop...
  23. "I have already purchased my opening night, opening show tickets. Have you?" http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=33009. I have cooties? If I do, of what kind are they? Not the dreaded Vekoma cooties!!!
  24. ^ I got those tickets the day the ticket office opened. I believe it was the day after the press event. I have mentioned it before, especially in my last thread which covered the Universal Orlando Resort. I am really excited. I have already seen the show in New York (that was what got me hooked on the Blue Man Group) and since then, I have been waiting for an Orlando show. Just my luck to be getting one now huh?
  25. Wow! So much has happened to the resort since last Friday! Last week, they were just painting the overhang of queue to the Blue Man Group show. Now, they are painting the building. Last week, there was still a mighty-big sized whole in the Studios side of the Nascar Grille. Now, it is open and looking better than ever (hopefully the food and the service improved during the transition between owners). I have my Blue Man Group tickets for the opening show, opening night. I was a little excited about the show, so I ended up being the third person to buy a ticket for the first show (I called one minute after the ticket office opened for the first time). We are in the seventh row, middle section. I am guessing that they have reserved much of Section A for the media, but I could be wrong.
