The Rumor / Crazy Idea Superthread
jedimaster1227 replied to Wes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
While I'm not opposed to the idea, I wouldn't rely on cast members for reliable news regarding the parks... I was once told by a self-proclaimed "in-the-know" cast member that Epcot's next major attraction was a launched coaster involving Stitch that would, and I quote him, "go real fast." Just because they work there, doesn't mean they are in the know... -
^Don't consider it a bashing... I think you've been here long enough to realize that everyone has to have a sense of humor about things here. Even questions or statements that may seem dumb can be laughed at at some point. Trust me, people are still laughing at me for some of the things I said years ago on this forum... But now, I just laugh with them. It works really well, I promise!

It's time for a 2010 picture recap
jedimaster1227 replied to Hhappy's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Here's a selection of my favorites from 2010. One from Halloween Horror Nights XX for good measure... I don't know why... I just love this one. It's as if Walt were topping off the Astro Orbiter... My current desktop picture on my Mac. It's the Tronorail! For some reason, the way this photo was captured, it made things almost tilt-shift in feel. Hogwarts is so photogenic! One of my favorites taken with my Pentax Optio S5i. -

^Considering there has been 239 pages of discussion about Geauga Lake on a "Geauga Lake Discussion Thread," I think it is fine. If you're not in the mood for a certain taste, choose a different flavor. If you're not tempted by the cuisine, go to a different restaurant. In other words, if you don't find value in what has been posted, don't respond. -

^I guess by the end of June, she'll be able to add Lumberjack to her resume's Work Experience category... Maybe to replace the Investor entry. -

To take a page from Tim Burton's Big Fish: -
I'm a firm believer that if Texas Giant is successful (and I believe it will be), that the Rocky Mountain treatment could take Son of Beast back from lame to insane. Looking at how much has been accomplished with the steel track on the Giant, I can only imagine what kind of things could be done to Son of Beast, possibly making it even longer or, dare I say it, bringing back the loop (something I can only assume would be far more feasible with an entirely steel track).

^Or they could have just been talking in private. Without hearing what they were talking about firsthand, how do you know that they were discussing a new ride development for sure, and not just catching up over a cup of coffee? I saw plenty of exhibitors doing just that at various times throughout the day--we even had to wait for one to finish their drink before they could talk to us... Just because someone is talking behind closed doors, it doesn't mean that a 400 ft tall wooden Aquatrax Giga coaster is coming to Six Flags America... Or that a new ride development is being discussed. -
