^According to Andy, one of the Imagineers heavily involved in the project, it will officially open in May.

^^Tom Staggs was quoted as saying that they took a step back to look at the plans for Hyperion Wharf and realized they could do better. They took the additional time to expand about the ideas presented in that concept and eventually got to developing Disney Springs with the intention of tying all "four zones" into one specific story and theme.

^If not in Las Vegas, I'm sure Speed could go nicely with the newly rebuilt Skycoaster from MGM Grand Adventures at Fun Spot America in Orlando!

Can't say I ever expected to see B&M creating trains for a coaster like this. And it looks pretty good! Curious to hear if the ride experience has improved at all.

This shot makes the ride look incredible. I'm hoping that the next time I get back out to California I'll be able to go back to Magic Mountain again. Between this, Green Lantern and Superman, it appears I'll have enough reason to return for the first time in a few years.

Disney has announced the transformation of Downtown Disney into Disney Springs for the next few years to be completed in 2016! As part of Disney Springs, the family-friendly Marketplace (as shown in this conceptual rendering) will continue to delight guests of all ages and include new experiences, such as an over-the-water pedestrian causeway. Downtown Disney is undergoing a multi-year transformation, representing the largest expansion in its history. The renamed Disney Springs (as shown in this conceptual model) will double the number of shopping, dining and entertainment experiences, and feature an eclectic and contemporary mix from Disney and other noteworthy brands. With a flowing spring as a centerpiece, Disney Springs will feature four outdoor neighborhoods including the two shown in an artist's conceptual rendering. The Town Center (lower portion of the image) will offer one-of-a-kind shopping and dining experiences along a promenade while The Landing (upper portion of the image) will include inspired dining and beautiful waterfront views. Along with an eclectic and contemporary mix from Disney and other noteworthy brands, Disney Springs (as shown in this conceptual rendering) will feature a new gateway with a signature water tower and grand entry. Inviting and infused with character, Disney Springs will feature four outdoor neighborhoods including The Landing (as shown in this conceptual rendering) which offers inspired dining, retail and beautiful waterfront views. Disney Springs will blend the familiar with the unexpected throughout its four outdoor neighborhoods including the West Side (as shown in this conceptual rendering) which will provide an exuberant atmosphere with lively entertainment, along with a series of new elevated spaces that provide both shade and an overlook to the activity below.

^Noise pollution and traffic were two of the biggest concerns that led Tangelo Park residents to fight Orlando Thrill Park so vehemently. I'd imagine that aside from the ATV park, the rest of this project would be significantly quieter and less busy than a major theme park.
