We were originally going to do an overnight stay and do the Dorney tour on Friday, but the weather kept us back, so we decided to do a one day trip to Eastcoaster on Saturday! The day started with my mom and I leaving NY at around 6:15am and meeting a couple of friends for breakfast in Fogelsviller PA, at Cracker Barrel before heading off to Eastcoaster. While there, we found are other friends and sat with them. Now we were ready to start. Overall, this was the worst Eastcoaster ever! But at the same time, the people we were with, were so awesome, and made it the best! I swear, it was like Rocky Horror meets Eastcoaster! Photos Breakfast with Tom, Carl, Jeff, AJ, Me, and my mom (behind the camera). This was the cool stuff we got at our tables! Cliff opens the event like every year! All the parks that were there! Cedar Fail...er...Fair went up first! Um...what? Do you see that? We sure did the whole day! Nothing would barely work properly! Dorney Park is now doing Holloween Haunt, with more stalking corn than ever! So here's the story. One new attraction will be "Club Blood" and it will be "edgie." Up there, it says "Exotic Dancers" so we went up and were all a little confused and asked what that was all about and he said something along the lines of, "Yea, we know! We are going to be very edgie this year. We are going to have girls in cages asking for crack pipes and needles!" HAHAHA! What!?!? Yea...felt like that needed to be shared Hersheypark showed Celsius...err Fahrenheit During the first break, I hung out with my friend Bill, and we just goofed around with our cameras! Truelly, the best presentation was from Six Flags Great Adventure. dunna nunna nunna nunna nunna nunna BATMAN! This is what they had to show, as well as Glow In The Park Parade! Some cool shizz! They even did some trivia! I won a pen. Mom won a shirt. DelGrosso's showed off there future plans and achivements. Though they still don't know what they're going to do with the Arrow Loop and Double Corkscrew coaster. Gravy Buffet! Nah, it was "Dinner Styled", pass it around guys! Here's Tom (PCman), I wish I would have gotten a picture of our apetizer...Tomato Juice! My mom, Colleen and I. Getting goofy with Great Adventure Morey's Piers, was happy to be there! These are the new trains that will open on the Great Nor' Easter! Supposably, these will get rid of all the pain that all SLC's have to offer. They are also introudicing "Magic Bikes" (I want one!) As well as Cygnus X-1 And this is the current layout for there new coaster for 2010! Then Waldameer presented Not everyone was thrilled! So yea...they are finally building this thang called something... Ravine Flyer II, there we go! It looks good! GCI was next up! Eviel Kenievel is an exact clone of Thunderbird! The trains look cool, but not like Troy's The lineup of refurbishments. They did say that the Trick-Track on Boulder Dash, will be removed for a bunny hop Next up was Door Prizes! I got this snazzy hat! Tom also got a snazzy hat and flip flops (okay...so those came with MY hat, but they looked better for his picture!) Save Coney Island Plans that will never happen, yada yada yada, moving on Coastin' Steve was representing my favorite park, Knoebels! No official date on the opening of the Flying Turns still! PTC next up! Tom Rebbie, claims this is him! The way to kill a happy mood, here is a picture of the burnt down Ball Room at Conneaut Lake Park. Okay, so here's the awesome story! This is the Chiller Safety Sign that I, as well as Dan Brookwell had our hearts on at bidding. But we were fighting for it. So the bid went smoothly to about $100 and then it was just me and Dan! (By the way, Dan is a good friend of mine, and I work for him on Thrill-Pics.com), I ended up losing to him at $465! That's correct, we went that high! A bunch of people wanted us to take a picture showing our true feelings! It should be in the next ACE Newsletter! hehe But, I won this lapbar from Thunderhawk for $65. Nobody wanted to bid against me becuase they figured I was ruthless, and I got the lapbar for a bargain pretty much! I'm currently using it as the railing for my bed! I will end this report with a yearly photo of me and Peg, her and Colleen Whyte are the people who got me into ACE over 10 years ago! It was definately a great day! Well guys, the two main parks are staying, Astroland (which lost nothing...except for me as an employee ) and Denos (which lost the Super Shot). I was also down there in the beginning of December and made a little video of it. -Dainan "The video is from December 5th, 2007" Rafferty EDIT: After looking at this picture again, I realized I can see Thunderbolt, which means the Bumper Cars are gone too!

So my brother, friends Chrissy, Kenny and I went to Coney Island this past Wednesday to just walk around. So I took some pictures. I hope you enjoy! There's my baby. I've missed her. My brother Anthony up front, and Chrissy and Kenny in the back! I love this sign. So yea...um...this is Top Spin 2 all covered and stuff. Yea...Astroland sucks, moving on! And this is me trying to get a shot of the four of us with the Cyclone. I'm content with it. The alley looks so creepy empty. Well...Super Shot is officialy gone! Anthony isn't really happy to see it go. Yea...this is the Polar Express uncovered. It kills people! So this is where the Zipper was. Side profile of the Wonder Wheel The future of Coney Island... ...is barren There used to be a Schwarzkopf Jumbo Jet and some Go-Karts here. Kenny looks happy to see Coney Island destruction! The original Parachute Jump gracing the photo! El Dorado used to be open in the winter, but not anymore! A fine establishment PUPPY! THey actually used to have these guys chained up under the Jumbo Jet's lift, and they would chase the trains and bark at you! It was very amusing to watch. Awesome pictures! I loved these rides until I last rode one at Six Flags Great Adventure. It was during the cycle and there was a loud crack noise and my lap bar popped open a good 4 inches and it scarred me. That was in September. A similar incident happened on the now defunct Jumbo Jet in Coney Island here in NY. A few weeks after the coaster "derailed" (I rode it that day, and never again!), the same thing happened when the two cars disconected and then colided, this caused three passengers to be ejected from the ride. The train then vallied! This is a picture of it (taken by my father, with my mom in the front row and friend in the 2nd). As you can see, there's not much connecting the two cars. I also believe a similar incident happened in 1998, or 1999 on Orien Express at Worlds Of Fun on the last car injuring several people. Today I woke up late, and rushed out of the house to walk to the Zoo. As I'm down the block, I noticed I was 20 minutes early, so I decided to stop on the bridge at the park. It's a nice bridge, about 20 feet above the water! So I'm sitting there texting, and I turn around, but I had a strange spasm and I accidently flung my phone into the lake! So now, I don't have a phone, and I need everyone's numbers now! Then, I get to the Zoo and find out we are closing early and I'm not needed, so I did paper work and animal care before hanging around waiting for my mom....ugh! NOT MY DAY!
