Has This Ever Happened To You?
CycloneMan replied to gnewton34's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Never had that happen. But I've known ride-ops who'd E-Stop a ride out of bordem. I actually was on BTR at SFGAv once when my friend did that! -Dainan " " Rafferty -

CycloneMan replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Looks like you all had a good time. I'll be heading there in two weeks for the first time. I was at SFGAv on Saturday with my friends. My other nerdy friends went Sunday and said they saw you guys...actually this how the conversation went: Me: *Picks up phone* Hey JR what's up Medusa05: Hey, Dainan. I'm in line for El Toro and I just saw Robb Alvey in the last seat. Me: *Pause...sigh* Fanboy *Hung up*. So I can't wait to see your SFGAv photo update, being it's my 2nd home. If you guys are coming to Coney Island this weekend, I can hook you guys up with wristbands and what not (only Astroland). -Dainan "Good Update" Rafferty -

People: Me Spike (Nirto Fan) Amanda (Queenda Ka/Love of my life) Ray (Amanda's mom) Alex (Snowsurfer) TJ (kkroxmysox) Andrew (Enzo) Ariel Michelle....AHHHHHHHHHHH. The background stroy: I had a FFO (Forced Family Outing) in Queens with my dads family (Jewish). Last night my friends were planning on going and and this morning Spike sent me a text! Well, I left Jackson Heights (Queens) at 4:45pm and times it so that when i got hbom, Spike would be there and we'd drive off. Spike picked me up a little after 6:00pm and we drove straight there! We arrived at around 7:15pm, Giving us an hour and forty-five minutes. We meet up with Amanda, Ray, Alex and TJ at the Autobahn. They went on and we just watched. Afterwards we headed over to Chiller where we saw Derrick telling us it was down! We did some chatting and headed over to Batman: The Ride. The line was in the hallway outside the station and the attendants were doing so horrible, but they now have a new Lead who plans to do, "Batman Boot Camp", to get them to do better. What should of been probably a walk on was 10 minutes. We got the last two rows and enjoyed our intense, screaming, fun ride at night! Amanda and Ray had to leave, so I kissed Amanda good by and we headed sperate ways. We lined up for Nitro and waited 15-20 minutes (longest wait), and once again got the last row! The ride was fun and the four of us...again, were goofing around, and having a fun ride. Coming into the station, we spotted JR (Medusa05) and Kyle so I waved to them, but we had to get to Toro so we headed over. TJ and I did our "Toro" positions and stampeded through the crowd to get to El Toro. We get in line about 8:50pm. We waited 10 minutes in the queue and 5 in the station. We had a five train wait for the last two rows, and they were NOT stacking at all! What an amazing job. When we got loaded they checked lapbars and were about to dispatch, but they decided to let the train behind us actually approach the break run! Now that's a GREAT crew. We left the station, up the lift around and HOLLY $#!T!!!!!!!! We got so much airtime. No joke, on every hill I had a good inch (maybe more) off the seat! It was also flying tonight! After we got off El Toro, TJ and Alex's friends were at Kingda Ka, so we headed over to the launch track and watched them launch. That train came off and I see there friends. Andrew (Enzo), Ariel, and oh no...Michelle! I was so scared... Okay, I'm teasing her. We hung out and stalled on our way out of the park. I sat in Kingda Ka's test seat as a joke and buckled the belt on to the OTSR. Well...I couldn't get it off. So eveyone came to try and get it off, and non of us could! Finally Spike was able to, because he's so cool with his ex-lead powers! So we did some goofing around. The rest left and it was just me and Spike! We talked to a few friends that work there (Alex, Ryan, Derrick) and then we headed home! -Dainan "A nice quicky" Rafferty

Has anyone ridden both X and Eejanaika?
CycloneMan replied to ebl's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just to let you guys know, Eejanaika is translated wrong on rcdb.com. There it says that Eejanaika translates into, "Aint it great", but it roughly translates into, "Fuhgedaboutit" (In non Brooklyn term of spelling: Forget about it). -Dainan "Just thought you'd find it interesting" Raffertyy -

People: Me Spike (Nitro Fan) John/JR (medusa05) Josh (Mysterio, Josh's Photo Trip Report) Christian (BuddyChrist, Christian's Photo Trip Report) My Trip Report: Spike and I arrived at the park around 5pm (park closed at 7pm) so we knew this would be....interesting. We went in, and went straight over to Season Pass processing, where Spike was getting his Parking Pass, and we met up with JR and Josh. I was going to get the whole family coupon books (being we didn't get them last week). Well, I was only able to get my self one. And the woman scanned my SP and was talking and niether one of noticed that it said, "Denied". Everyone told me later on. We walked over to the "new" Chiller. We got right into Robin's line and waited for the last two rows. 5 trains later, we were on. It was very nice to see Batman's trains actually getting some use. (Before anybody is going to bash me, it really is B:TC's trains painted red, attendents confirmed it, and the caps are silver, and the handle bars and bars on the Lap Bar are white (like B:TC's) and the numbers, numbering each car where on the other side (normal for B:TC, not for R:TC). Spike and I had the last row, while JR and Josh sat infront of us. 3-2-1 Launch, and we were out of there. The Cobra Roll was the same, if not, smoother. Then came the "hump". It was...weird. It felt like Thunder Dolphin's trick track twords the end of the ride. You definately went a bit faster up the spike, and it seemed that the LIM's were pushing the train down. The "hump" backwards was better than fowards. And very smooth. Overall I thought it was along the lines of, you win some, you lose some. I personally didn't like the Zero-G roll, because I found them too rough, and not enjoyable, but at the same time, it made the ride intense through the whole way. The "hump" kind of dumbs it down. We met up with Christian at the exit, being he got on two trains before us. Afterwords we took a spin on Batman The Ride. Still the same, amazing and intense as usual! We got the last two rows! After BTR, we ran over to Skull Mountain (better known as Candy Mountain) and marathoned on it 6 times. My buddy Walter was working there, so he was flickering the lights for us! He was having fun telling the attendent to staple us ("STEP ON THERE LAPBAR!"), which he did twice. It was alot of fun. But sadly, Josh had to go home. We then went over to Nitro, this was the most bizzare ride on Nitro. The remaining four of us, sat in the last row, and we talked the whole way through. From Nitro's drop you can see three of Robin's cars, lined up, waiting to be used again, and you can see two cars to the side completely totaled. It looked like some one dropped weights on it, and beat with mallets! The front/leftof the car had a huge hole in it, with white marks around the rim. The side was all scratched and the front was dented (looked flat). We then were just goofing around the whole ride, and I had to remind Christian that we were on Nitro, not Bench: The Ride. We then ran off to Plaza Del Carnivale, and JR had to meet up with his sister, so it was now, Spike, Christian and I. The line for El Toro was half way up the stairs, but that's only because they had an attendant control the stairs. We waited for the last two rows (Spike and I in the last, and Christian infront of us). I'm making sure (because the operator, Matt at ET wanted me to psot this) that I will tell you all, that El Toro is running two trains. though rows were closed off (the first and third on one train, and the entire last car on an other). I don't think we even waited 5 minutes, and we were on. And then the wors thing ever was said, "Re-check 6!" God damnit they stapled me hard! Oh well, the ride was still great. It was going slower than usual again, it seemed like it kind of crept over the Rolling Thunder hill. After that, we met up with JR outside Kingda Ka! To our suprise, the queue was still open at 6:55pm! We used the VIG pass just in case, and ran to CP Beat It. It was a two train wait (the queue was empty). JR and Spike got the 4th row, and Christian and I got the 5th row. We leave, launch, rattle, fly over the Top Hat with some nice ejector, come down (I was waving my arms and had my head sticking out with my tongue hanging out....it made an interesting picture that I didn't even look at). The bunny hill had some nice floater, and then breaks. Us 4 thought it was just meh, but it's funny for us to see GP really freak out and jump around. By this point, the park was closed, so we all strolled to the exit of the park. We got in to the parking lot, and went are seperate ways. -Dainan "I hope you enjoyed the little treat" Rafferty Me and Walter at Skull Mountain Me filming while Spike jumps in the picture.

Also, it doesn't look it in the picture, but it's actually too small to be any coaster track. -

Oh, that's taken from the Roosevelt Isand Cable Cars. That's just theming for some building on the West Side. -Dainan "I thought it was a coaster when I was little" Rafferty -
For the most part, all the coasters do run in cold tempetures. Just don't expect all of them open, because that's just Great Adventure. Also, KK and ET break down alot more in the cold. But, Robin: Chiller should be running by Friday . -Dainan "I hope this helped" Rafferty
