Where In The World Do TPR Members Live?
pgathriller replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I live in El Paso. I hate living here. There is nothing fun to do. -

I did an online petition for the El Paso Zoo and it worked. -
What is your favorite gum?

Which type of roller coaster is smoother? Intamin or B&M? I think B&M Coasters are smoother than Intamin.

Cedar Point Coaster Up For Sale
pgathriller replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ I know the article had some wrong information but I never heard that all of this was a mistake. When did this come out? Just curious? -
My home park here in El Paso is moving to New Mexico and some city officials went to Cedar Point to look at a roller coaster that is up for sale. Here's the story- http://www.borderlandnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050808/NEWS/508080329/1001 Which coaster is up for sale? If a coaster is up for sale, there will be room for a new one. It would be cool for Cedar Point to get a new coaster. But then the argument over the Cedar Point and SFMM coaster competition gets more complicated. Here's the thread- http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19852 * Let the rumors begin! * I wish it was Top Thrill Dragster or Millenium Force that were up for sale. It would be so cool getting one of those coasters here.

Cedar Point vs. Magic Mountain
pgathriller replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ True! I didn't mean for this topic to be a heated discussion. I just wanted to know everybodys opinions. Each park has something better than the other park. There both great! But Cedar Point Is Still Way Better Than SFMM -

Here's a another question to throw at you guys. Who will win the world record for most roller coasters next year? -

I will admit that my 2 favorite Vekomas are Invertigo ate PGA and Borg Assimalator. There the only Vekomas I like. -
Cedar Point vs. Magic Mountain
pgathriller replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm going to have to agree with Blazen. I hate to admit it though. I love Cedar Point but I think the record should go to SFMM. -
Both Cedar Point and Six Flags Magic Mountain has 16 coasters, but Flasback at SFMM is SBNO. This leaves SFMM with only 15 operating coasters and 16 for Cedar Point. But then you have to remeber that SFMM is building Tatsu. Will that mean Magic Moutain will have 17 coasters next year but one SBNO? Or will you only consider SFMM to have 16 operating coasters and officially be tied with Cedar Point. Or will SFMM open Flashback next year to have the record of the most coasters in the world? There are so many possibilities and it is so confusing. Give us your opinion on this. Heres the possibilities- * SFMM builds Tatsu and keeps Flashback closed to have 16 operating coasters but 17 all together. * SFMM will build Tatsu and and open Flashback to have 17 operating coasters and hold the record for the most coasters. Question- * Next year when Magic Mountain has 17 coasters but one SBNO, will you consider Cedar Point and SFMM tied for first? Or will you consider SFMM to have more coasters at 17 even though one is closed? * Remember, this was really hard to put in words and might be hard to understand. Just post your opinions on it.

Boomerang Or Giant Inverted Boomerang?
pgathriller replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Don't mind! * But does a Vekoma Invertigo give a different ride than a Vekoma Giant Inverted Boomerang? Or is the only difference the seats? -
The most painful ride I have been on was a Rock-n-Roll carnival ride. They put the belt on so tight that when you hang upsidedown it feels like it's crushing your insides. My best ride was probaly the first time I went on Top Thrill Dragster. I was jealouse though because the train after me got a roll back.

Cedar Points Coasters
pgathriller replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ I am not trying to be negative about SFMM. I forgot to actually say that he aslo said that Cedar Point will never be like SFMM. I just think that Cedar Point has better coasters than SFMM. I actually like SFMM but I have more fun at Cedar Point. * SFMM is quality over Quanity like Robb says. -
Cedar Points Coasters

^ That is what I was thinking in my head but couldn't get it in words. That's exactly what I mean. Something for everyone! -
Boomerang Or Giant Inverted Boomerang?
pgathriller replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ I thought Invertigo and Deja Vu were the same type of coasters! I thought they just looked different. I check rcdb and found out there not! Invertigo is a Vekoma Invertigo and Deja Vu is a Giant Inverted Boomerang. -
I heard today that Cedar Point was just interested in having the most roller coasters in the world and they don't care about the quality of coasters. I think he was stupid! The 16 coasters at Cedar Point are well cared for and most of them kick ass. They just don't buy cheap roller coasters and scatter them wherever they want. Unlike SFMM, Cedar Point has high quality thrill coasters that are perfect for Thrill Seekers. SFMM I think went with Quanity over Quality. Cedar Point has record breaking coasters that are pretty cool. What do you think?
