Well I've been away all week, at DLP, but now, unfortunetly, we're back. But we had a fab 7 days. As always Space Mountain was a highlight, and still my No.1 after about 8 years, but the biggest highlight was Buzz Lightyears Lazer Blast, now I really wasn't expecting much of this ride, I was expecting it to be quite crap, but I was wrong, its fab, just pure fun, everything about was just great, its now one of my favourite rides at the park. Anyway, I'll just get on with the pictures, I'm not posting all the pictures at once as theres too many, anyways: Please note the photo's are in a complete random order, and I really can't be arsed to organize them First stop on journey to London, South Mimms serivces, KFC here we come! We arrive at our hotel in Slough, to find it covered in scaffolding.. But never mind, it was a nice hotel, very posh. Me and Anne just hangin' I got bored and decided to climb out the window. See, lots of scaffolding. Chrales enjoying her breakfast at Heathrow very early in the morning. Luvely Jubbley! Our plane to take us to gay Pari London from the skies Nice clear skies Bonjour Francais ..... Shrek?? Au Busse arrive on par du Disneyland I see you.. Getting closer Even closer Au arrive, but this isn't our hotel Theres our hotel So nice and cozy I was really hoping to get on Panoramagique, but it never opened Hotel New York, one of the other hotels I've stayed in. Newport Bay club Hotel, never stayed there. Disney Village Nice and sunny for our first day C'mon, its like tradition to have this picture Oh yeah baby, No.1 all the way Lots and loys of steam coming from Space Mountain Brilliant ride! Love it! Went for lunch at Pizza Planet and I got a Pizza Burger, mmmm, lush. Told you the photo's were random ToT looming over the studios Nice little Monsters Inc area at the Studios Crush Me waiting form them to finish drawing at the Animation Academy I then spotted this gate open, I thought about it, but instead just took a photo form above the gate Hmm?? Our lovely hotel Another shot of our hotel View from our room Space Mountain looking spectacular at night as always I love everything about SM, even the station That night we went to Annette's for tea You are greated by a giant women They serve you on rollerskates, thats cool. Mmm, chilli During our meal, they started dancing on tables to some rock 'n' roll music, then started pulling people up for a dance, no chance matey!! You stuff your face shrek My dessert, with an odd shaped spoon.. After tea, Charlie demands that we go shopping at the extremely over priced shops, prices were bad enough last year, but now they're just ridiculous She finds herself a hat to keep her head warm Hmm....... just wrong Our very cozy room, with the nicest beds ever!!! And I think that will do for the moment, hope you liked so far, more to follow later. --Martyn

Well, finally I've gotten round to posting these pics. After an extremely dissapointing trip to Blackpool, we arrive at sunny Skegness, ready to have lots of fun! First things first, lets go act like children in the 'paddling' area. Yeah I kicked his arse, dont you worry Charlie up to no good as usual. I've just realised that Photobucket has added my photo's in a completely random order and I can't be bothered to sort them, so apologies if the pics go from one thing to another! Skeggy's illuminations Botton's at night, looking fabulastic as usual Our 'usual' apartments Everybody say "Hi Pete" Our room for the next 4 nights Yeah we went boling again, but I ain't going to post them picutres Mincey on the now 'defunct' Paratrooper Me and Mincey 'rocking' and 'rolling' with strangers Mince and Charles prepare fot the best damn dodgems EVER! OoOo, spooky! We went and saw a tribute band at Big Top, a tribute to Queen obviously, and they ROCKED! Now we have a seal, stupid photobucket You just can't beat some good ol' Match of the day More baby seals And some Spongebob With more baby seals......what ever next... Chipmunks! "I are serious seal" This is where the animal photo's are coming from Its a real life "Go-Gator" "Dead dog alert" No, seriously, these dogs are homeless, bless them, they're so cute, I want them all! Keiths Rescue Dogs comes to Skegness town centre during the summer, just to show off their dogs and raise some money. "Stop taking photo's of me! I will do more than sniff your crotch next time!!!" This is a nice pic, its shows just how steep JO's first drop is Umm, yeah, I've aready explained this situation Absolutely Insane Mince showing off how you should ocme down the slide, ironically, my boat is on the right :? Beast, I don't it that much, it makes me go red Nice shot of Volcano More Freddie Gay Another good shot of AI Night falls, and I must say that the west side of the park became extremely busy, with a fantastic atmosphere Night time falls indoors aswell Didn't expect this view when I went to the bog More FI at night More Freddie And more of the usual signage Thank you Tub, for taking us on this beloved journey A view from half way up Volcano Me, this time in a full inflated boat, getting f*cking soaked!! I have too many photo's of Rockin' Roller Now technically thats not true, if the winds pick up to 6mph, JO closes, which spoils my visit A nice shot of Skeggy from the Giant Wheel at Bottons And that has finally wrapped up this PTR. Just to let you know we have planned another massive summer trip for this summer, but this one is a lot bigger, and lasting nearlly 2 weeks! w00t! As usual, hope you enjoyed! And untill next time, good night! -

Flying Fish at Thorpe Park
martinb replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Not bothered really. Apparantly its returning because it was a favourite with guests I just loved the "Thank you for Flying the Fish" tannoy when the ride ended! That has to return, or else! -
^ I would have thought so. Fabbri only 2 different types of 'Mega Drop', and the other one is 185ft. There tons of them doing the circuit with fairs.
-
The actuall official hieght of the ride is 115ft, it even syas that on Fabbri's Website. It is a very good drop tower, although I still prefer Apocalypse!
-
There was strong rumours that Chaos was going to turn up at BPB, but apparantly its already arrived at its new home, Lightwater Valley. Also the Space Shot from Pleasureland has been purchased by Loundoun Castle in Scotland, I wonder if they will actually open this ride? I really don't like the picture of the Big Dipper!

Say that looks like a nice little place. Should I prosume that the Tivoli Tracter coaster thingy was the only coaster? -
Nope, theres 5 in the boat, well sort of, we're all kind of half in, half out, apart from at the front. You can see 3 different trainers on the right hand side, plus my legs, but there is definetly 5 people in there.
-
Technically it wasn't that fun, I was terrified as we went down the slide, well I wasn't even in the boat, I was balancing on the front of it, holding on to the little flappy bits, but when we got to the bottom we all fell backwards. Anyway you may have noticed that I started this topic by saying: And here is the reason I said "another dinghy ride": http://islandquest.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=131

Here is an ORP of me falling out of another dinghy ride, with 5 other friends. Firstly, here is the ride: And here is the ORP: The reason we fell out was because we got 5 of us in the boat, well I wouldn't say in the boat as I was balancing on the front of it. I can't believe the ride op let us do that, I somehow think he might not work there anymore. The photo was took just before the boat 'pinged' out from underneath us and we all just slid along the floor getting drenched and hurt I find this photo soooo funny, not because I'm in it, its what you can actually see, just feet sticking up in the air and hands trying to hold on so they don't fall out etc, you can just imagine what everyone was thinking oh fuck Thats me on the front by the way. --Martyn

Pepsi Max Big One POV, with a slight twist!
martinb replied to martinb's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just like your everyday ride on the Pepsi Max Big One then! -
Its bad enough that the silly b*tch Amanda Thompson (MD, BPB Ltd) completely stops all invesments into Pleasureland, then completely stops all advertising from 2005, then closes Pleasureland with immediat effect, letting the staff know 1 day in advance. All this because she couldn't be bothered to run the place and it saves BPB money on their new ride. With less than 1 week gone by from its closure, rides are being dismantled, then the English Heritage were refused access to the site twice to assess the Cyclone Coaster in order to get it listed as a 'National Treasure'. Now things have gone one step too far: http://www.southportforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50365473
