  1. New track removal on Hurler. Source: https://www.facebook.com/groups/kdconnoisseurs/permalink/665669176961026/ Also, Volcano and Avalanche are still apparently down.
  2. According to people on Facebook, Avalanche and Volcano are still down and have been down for quite a while now. I really hope Kings Dominion can get them up and running again soon, as they are some of the most popular rides in the park.
  3. Man, this thread gets wild a bit too quickly... Anyway, do you guys think RMC Hurler will focus more on airtime or more on inversions? I think KD could finally go for a nice airtime-filled coaster (that's smoother than Rebel Yell). What do you guys think?
  4. Track being installed onto the brake run: https://www.facebook.com/groups/kdconnoisseurs/permalink/664025337125410/
  5. A lot of people recently have been saying Avalanche and Volcano have both been closed. Even though I don't ride those two coasters a lot, I know a lot of people do, and I hope the park can get them back up soon!
  6. From what I've seen, the Ferris Wheel is a very popular place to take pics from in Kings Dominion, besides the Eiffel Tower.
  7. Interesting... Source: https://www.facebook.com/groups/kdconnoisseurs/permalink/661945137333430/
  8. Kings Dominion posted something pretty intriguing...
  9. I was talking to my grandmother sometime this afternoon about when we are going down to Tennessee, and there were a few rides closed for weather when I checked the ride times on the app (because I am a nerd like that).
  10. Do boomerangs count? The one at Trimpers Rides in Ocean City, MD bites painfully hard in the station.
  11. Six Flags America (How sad...) Six Flags Great Adventure Kings Dominion/Dorney Park (Same distance away)
  12. I got Fast Lane once at Dorney, as they were giving one away free for season passholders last year. It was absolutely useless for everything other than the wild mouse.
  13. I always hear good things about Carowinds flyers, but I could never get them to snap out of all my rides on it. Meanwhile at Kings Dominion I get really good snapping every time I ride their flyers. Maybe when I go back down this year I can figure it out.
  14. Track on the lift is coming off of Hurler.
  15. Uh oh... www.fox5dc.com/news/local-news/248441128-story
  16. I guess you guys are right about it being a personal choice. I have a relatively small window to be able to go this year (no later than July), so it all just depends on how much free time me and my parents have before that time. I'm really just stuck on the whole Mean Streak thing. Make the long trip to Ohio this year only to want to go back a year later, or just save up all my excitement for next year. I guess I could stick with just Dorney and Kings Dominion (and possibly Carowinds) for another year, but I'm worried that I will miss the opportunity to ride/do something at Cedar Point if anything closes this year.
  17. Rest In Peace, Ohiocoasterman. I have a question for you Cedar Point people. I would really enjoy going to Cedar Point this year for the first time, but the chances of that happening are looking rather slim at the moment. Would it be better to just wait for next year to attempt to visit (especially since Mean Streak will probably be open next year), or should I try hard to go this year?
  18. I'm going to try and get this thread back on track, I know it will fail, but here I go anyway. I really believe this may be the best RMC if they can keep up the fantastic work they have done so far. Airtime is not something I look for in a coaster, but that hill looks very fun and I'm sure it will please the airtime lovers without a doubt. Do you guys think it could become the best coaster at Cedar Point, or at least one of the top 3?
  19. Steel Force really is fun and all, but I would still rather go to Knoebels and ride a certain coaster that guarantees you some good airtime regardless of seat.
  20. I never understood the whole front row is better than the back thing. I've ridden Steel Force more than anything else in the park and every time I rode the front it didn't feel comparable to the back at all. That's actually for most of the coasters there for me, with the obvious exception of Thunderhawk. Just thought I'd throw a different opinion into this thread since it isn't the most lively one.
