I remember one time at Kings Dominion, Grizzly bit very hard for some odd reason. I've ridden that ride a bunch before, and never felt it brake so hard in my life. I still find it weird because it only happened once out of at least 50+ rides on it.

Closed for the season...

Almost out to the main pathway.

Because one or two successful test runs mean nothing when within 5-10 minutes it always stops at the bottom of the launch track and needs to be pushed back to the station. The way it's going now, at best they might be able to open the ride for 5 minutes before they have to evacuate the riders and close the ride for the day. It was going pretty much the whole second half of the day monday. Also, they just changed it from CD to TC. Hopefully it stays that way.

Why would it be closed for two days straight after they did successful test runs on it? There's always next year, but it would be nice to ride it some time this week, especially after seeing so many successful runs. I'm not as upset as I am confused about it.

Guess what's closed for the day again... I upgraded to a season pass so I'm not worried too much. If I can't ride it this week, I'll hopefully ride it when I come back next year.

I'm not close to it so I don't know if people are on but it's still going strong over the lift.

I'm confused because they were running it smoothly and all of a sudden the app said "CD." Nothing else got stuck after the last time I saw them testing it.

Would you guys recommend that I upgrade my ticket to a season pass in case it opens this week?

Looked like it was only one launch which was loaded with water dummies.

Just witnessed a failed launch...

Guess what's closed for the day... when I go to the park Monday, I'm still going to have a blast whether it's open open or not. It would be wonderful if it was open though.

Has anyone else here tried riding in the very second row on Thunderhawk? It rides almost like a steel coaster and you can get some really good air.

Does anyone know if Lightning Rod closes with the steel coasters or does it run in lower temperatures?

Worst B&M I've ridden: Great Bear at Hersheypark. I've never found it to stand out in any special way other than the helix. Worst Intamin I've ridden: Volcano at Kings Dominion. Very unpopular opinion, but I cannot seem to get even a remotely smooth ride on the thing. Always come off with a headache. Worst GCI I've ridden: I don't want to say any GCI I've ridden is worse than another because they were all great. And yes, I have ridden Wildcat, and it wasn't nearly as bad as what I expected.

Carowinds was just under a tornado warning a few minutes ago. I hope Hurler is okay.

Has anybody heard anything about the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster? Hillbilly Golf is not very far from it at all. It's probably my least favorite mountain coaster out of the three I've ridden, but it would still be a shame if something happened to it.

Praying for the towns and the people who live there. I hope they get plenty of rain this week.

I agree. It's clearly visible from a public road. What's the problem?
