Got tickets for the 4/21 Kings/Stars game for me and my Son. It will be his first Hockey game. I know, I'm a terrible father, waiting until my son is 15 to show him the awesomeness that is Hockey. I was about the same age and it began my love affair with the game. Hope he has the same experience. -

I have a question for those of you with AT&T (I have Verizon). Their commercials always put that you can talk and surf the web at the same time as some kind of awesome benefit. I honestly can't think of any time where this would be something I've needed. Do any of you use this feature? -
When we did a similar trip last year we had 2 base camps, this was pretty much how we did it. It did make for some REALLY long days though. Day One: Fly to PHL (Red Eye), SFGADV until about 7pm Drive to Allentown. Day Two - Four: Base camp in Allentown, park days at Hershey, Knoebels, Dorney (only 90 minutes LOL) Day Five: Drive to Doswell VA with a 4 hour stop at SFA on the way Day Six-Eight: Base Camp in Doswell, park days at Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens, Air and Space Museum, fly home from DCA. As I said, it makes for some long drives/long days and arriving/leaving from different airports may be more expensive as well as dropping off a car in different locations. For us it worked out due to some corporate discounts, etc but it wouldn't work for everybody.

Always loved Ebert's reviews, even though I didn't always agree with them. He was always very fair when it came to movies that weren't traditional "artsy" ones. He was one of my favorite follows on Twitter as well. Most of the things he posted had absolutely nothing to do with movies but I always appreciated his insights. -

Went to my 2nd Kings game of the year last night, fun game. 3-0 Kings. So glad they at least scored this time. LOL Regehr is a beast. Even during warm ups it looked like he was ready to hit somebody. He's going to fit in quite nicely I think. Hopefully going to get to at least 1 more game before the end of the season. -

Don't know why I thought the Batman video was going to be the SLC's version of "Batman: The Clone" with the Batman layout and not just a normal SLC. It was early when I watched it. -
Gotta love how people join the forums, make 5 posts and one of them is telling people where they can and can't complain. (heading off to complain in the designated "come here to complain about new posters and bad grammar" thread) I was going to go up to the park tomorrow to shoot another update but doesn't look like much has changed from what I've heard. I'll head up early next week when all the kiddies are back in school.

Yeah, the Astros are bad ... REALLY bad. But a perfect game or a near perfect game is special. Much more special than a 2 hitter. Sorry. I think the bigger question is, with so many recent no hitters and perfect or near perfect games ... just how long were these hitters on the juice? It's pretty obvious it was much more widespread than we thought. LOL So glad Kershaw is pitching when we go to the Dodger game on Saturday. I'm interested to see what Greinke does tomorrow night. Speaking of going to live games, has anybody ever used ScoreBig? It kind of looks like a Priceline for tickets. Interesting concept. I'm thinking of trying them out soon just to see. There is an Amazon Local deal going on that gives you $30 to spend on the site for just $7. I figure for $7 it's worth seeing if it's actually something that works. https://www.scorebig.com/ -

^ I turned it on in the 9th until the Astros got that hit. How bad are the Astros? Nearly 2 perfect games against them in the last 2 seasons. And this season is only 2 games in. -
Fast Lane Plus

^ I'd assume they'd be able to upgrade for the difference in price (if they were still available). But I'd check with the park. On our first visit to SFOG we got the regular pass and ended up heading back and upgrading to the Gold later in the day. If it's good enough for Six Flags ... right? -
My wife has had 3 surgeries for a similar problem over the past 5 years. After her 2nd one she actually got to the point where she felt comfortable riding Tower of Terror at DCA and some of the dark rides, Soarin, Pirates, etc. She even did S:EFK. But anything with twists and turns she always kind of shied away from. And obviously any rough coasters were absolutely out of the question. She had to get a 3rd surgery last year (totally unrelated to riding any rides) and I'm not sure if/when she'll feel comfortable riding anything again. I'd certainly talk to your doctor but it's always a tough thing. Each person is different and each injury is different.

Mine is certainly Jaguar at Knott's. After 2 years of doing Coasting for Kids and getting about 350 rides on it I can't imagine I've ridden anything else as much. Outside of events like that, second place would have to probably be Colossus at SFMM just due to it's age and that I still ride it on most visits to the park. Water Ride probably goes to Log Jammer or Jet Stream at SFMM although Pirates of the Caribbean is a possibility as well. I'm not a huge fan of flat rides for the most part but the most is probably the Tilt a Whirl that used to be at SFMM in different incarnations. I would ride that pretty much every visit and I'll ride a Tilt a Whirl at pretty much any park I visit. Dark Ride it's probably Mr. Toad at Disneyland.
