  1. I don't care what she looks like. Is she fun the ride?
  2. Really? That's what you were thinking? Sounds like regardless of what they did and how well they did it...you would have been thinking the same thing. How about enjoying the ride? i can think and enjoy at the same time. lol it just didn't blow me away like it did when it was new. maybe cause i had just ridden the Joker the week before as the last coaster. still great and i'd say my favorite at Knott's. also, here's some pics from the event on saturday. https://alexisjoyvipaccess.com/tag/ghostrider-rides-again-knotts-berry-farm/ obviously i don't watch anything these people are on. i know ryan newman, but only the nascar driver. haha Joker is not a woodie. Joker does not have topper track. Joker is a steel coaster. Therefore you cannot compare it to GostRider.
  3. Even when it new GR wasn't particularly smooth. I've never been a big fan of PTC trains.
  4. It's fun. It's called dreaming. It's the Xcelerator that always should have been. And don't say never. It's not uncalled for to alter old rides into new ones. Knott's has no room. If they want better coasters then something has to go. I say keep the best part of X Xcelerator and redo the crappy part. Kills two birds with one stone. Gives Knott's a new coaster while the same time not sacrificing the only part people care about.
  5. Not sure if you're joking, but I haven't been yet. Judging by the videos it's just too short.
  6. Pony Express has always had a line in my experience unless the park is completely dead, in which case Xcelerator is even a walk-on. Sky Cabin may not get huge lines but it's constantly got a flow of people. Dragon Swing, Hat Dance, and the other flats in that area are also consistent with people riding. Just because there's not a huge line out the gate doesn't mean they're not popular. If the ride was open but not cycling because nobody is willing to ride, that's when there's a problem. PE has a line because it takes forever to load and unload the dang thing.
  7. Pony Express. Dragon Swing. Sky Cabin. Hat Dance. I didn't say anything about engineering being a problem.
  8. Hey throwing ideas around is how things happen. Not knocking you. But Jaguar! also is not going anywhere. It's a very very popular family coaster. And during the summer Wave Swinger is quite a swinging ride. Also, there is a massive warehouse and other backstage areas behind Bigfoot and Mystery Lodge. They would have to be moved. Go back to page 1049 of this thread and you'll see and idea I posted for a massive expansion that involves doing just that. You are correct about the bumper cars, it just seems like they are beneath, but they are also just popular enough to not go anywhere. Besides they fit the theme of that area too well.
  9. I rode millenium force as a single rider next to this typical ACER dude. THE ENTIRE RIDE he was doing on board commentary as if we were filming for discovery channel. "Okay we are going up the 310 foot lift!" "And the first overbank!" He even shouted out "airtime!!!" Over the hills. I wanted to strangle him It was Robb! Hey, Robb makes fun videos. Better than Coaster Farce. I'm talking about the fools who don't actually know what they talking about. "This is the tallest 300 foot hyper coaster on the West Coast." What you mean there's another 300 foot hyper on the west coast that's shorter? By the way, we were riding Viper at SFMM.
  10. Did you know they call them girl pants because they are actually girl pants? Not just small and tight but actually from the girls section. Blew my mind. I'm old. I wear old man pants.
  11. 1) Wave Swinger is extremely popular. It's not going anywhere. 2) The Fiesta Stage is used a lot more than you think. 3) Those buildings adjacent to Boomerang contain a very popular and profitable ballroom, an employee break room, locker room, and cafeteria, guest restrooms, several food outlets, ride offices, and the Calico Mine Ride 4) Or since Boomerang is very old just scrap it for cash and then sell Michigan Adventure. 5) Remove Pony Express, sell it for scrap, and leave that space empty. Plus a coaster going all over Ghost Town would destroy Ghost Town. 6) It's Camp Snoopy, but I agree on the new attractions. 7) Do you realize the bumper cars are under the theater ramp? It would have to be a literal flat ride. 8) Jaguar! the coaster is currently using its own temple. You can't use it for your dark ride. 9) Where would your new wooden coaster go?
  12. There's plenty of other coasters that put riders through six inversions in a minute, and are much less painful and terrible. I haven't been on it in since 1999. That was also the last time I was at Knott's until last year and it was down then.
  13. It is for what it is. Six inversions in a minute. Three backwards.
  14. I don't count people having heart attacks or anerisms or the like as dying on the ride. They were going to die anywsy. Dying on a ride means you fell out or hit a crossbeam. Even the guy who got decapitated when he got his phone didn't die because if the ride.
  15. I don't have time to scream. I'm either too busy enjoying the ride or being freaked out because it's scary as hell.
  16. People talking on lift hills. Giving stats or commenting on how high we are getting. Overreacting and constant screaming the entire ride just because.
  17. PE needs to go. As short as they are Xcelerator, Monty, and Boomerang are awesome coasters. PE is just way too short. You sit in the brake at the end three times longer than the ride itself takes. Maybe if it was longer it would be a better ride.
  18. I'd like to see them meet in the middle again...GhostRider and that expansion of Ghost Town were very well done when first built. Cedar Fair just plopped rides wherever they could, came up with a western backstory and called it a day with no care about the look/feel. If they were going to destroy the charm, they could have at least made the rides top 10 quality rides... The GR project was planned and designed by the family. CF aquired the park shortly after ground broke. Explains why it fits so well and doesn't seem out of place.
  19. Xcelerator is pretty unique. Sea foam green supports and coral red track. Ninja's red and black at SFMM fits the theme perfectly. Sierra Sidewinder looks it would blend into a forest of trees. Riddler's Revenge is of course green. Batman the Ride is of course gray, yellow, and purple. Superman coasters are blue, red, and yellow.
  20. I would really love to see this happen, but I doubt they are touching that ride anytime soon beside paint, if they even do that. My first thought was "where would the transfer track go?", but my second thought was "wait, this whole thing is stupid. My first thought is already thinking way too far into this." Now I'm stuck on that second thought. It's just a rough idea.
  21. Yes, they own lots of land surrounding the park. Whether any of that land is usable for Theme Park development isn't really know for sure. And there are also the Nimby Neighbors who could prevent development. That land can only be used for parking or backstage areas. I say build a big parking structure where the main lot is now. Then relocate some of the backstage areas from south of Ghost Town across the street to those dirt overflow lots. Then all the land south to Crescent Ave can be used to expand.
  22. Incorrect. We've been over this too many times. You tell me where they have room for a new coaster.
