I was just there last week and got my first ride on ice breaker, definitely agree that the ride would be much better without those collars. I still wouldn't wait more than 10 minutes to ride it no matter the restraints. Also rode Mako again, not sure if they have been off for awhile now cause I hadn't been on the ride for a few years but the screens above the ride that use to show water with sharks swimming around was off. Mako is still such a fun ride, it's amazing that every time I've been there it always takes longer to walk through the queue than to wait for an actual train to get on. The new stand up really changes the front entrance of the park when you're walking to security / ticket entrance. I didn't realize that's where they were putting it but it looks like a fun layout and gets down near the water too.

Sad story, shame that just trying to have some fun turns horrible in basically a split second... https://www.northjersey.com/story/news/bergen/east-rutherford/2022/12/14/american-dream-mall-man-dies-snowboarding-big-snow/69726358007/ "A 24-year-old Long Island man died last week after falling while snowboarding at Big Snow at the American Dream mall in East Rutherford, according to a Newsday report. The family of Peter Mathews, of Bay Shore, New York, told Newsday that he fell backward on Thursday night while snowboarding, hit his head and became unconscious. The family told the newspaper that Mathews was wearing a helmet and other safety gear. He was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. In a statement, Big Snow representatives said: “We can confirm that our ski patrol responded to a guest incident last Thursday evening. First aid was administered, and the guest was transported to a local hospital for further care. In the interest of the guest’s privacy, no additional information will be provided. Our thoughts are with this guest’s family at this time.”

This is basically where I'm at, I've had 3 passes for like $13 total a month for a few years now but I've barely been going. Covid initially and lately just too busy but the price is too good to cancel especially cause I'm gonna start going again soon. Great adventure is our home park and we plan on hitting up holiday in the park at least once and 1 visit alone basically covers the parking and tickets for the year.

This looks awesome, I love the color scheme too -
Certainly an interesting choice for a ride. Anyone know the height requirement for it? The other big 3 rides all have a 54" requirement and I know green lantern at great adventure is 54" so was thinking this might be the same. For a park that I always see as more of a family park it feels like they need something like invadr so kids have something to ride once they age out of the sesame street area but aren't tall enough for the big 3 and possibly now 4.

I never went during Hallowscream and haven't been since 2019 but I never had any issues getting an Uber during the food and wine fest for many years. Was the issue just not getting one that late at night? They would drive right into the parking lot and pick up right near the main ticket office / entrance area. Getting dropped off I had them drop us at the England parking lot to avoid the traffic and hassle for them and the wait for us since we don't mind walking and it's really not a long walk from the street there anyway.

Can't wait to ride this, thanks for all the info Chuck, looks awesome. DarkCastle was one of my favorite dark rides and this is fantastic that they are keeping the castle and adding to the story. I wonder what they are going to do with the Battle For Eire next, they really do need another indoor ride/experience of some nature.

These prices are wild, I have 3 memberships for like $13 a month that gives me access to all the six flags parks but I wonder how long they take to start forcing increases for memberships. Especially considering the cost I pay for that for the entire year is almost the same price as that fright fest ticket.

Probably never gonna happen but some sort of Peanuts themed dark ride would really be a great addition. Would add another all ages family ride to the park and an indoor ride since they don't even have a Boo Blasters. -
I just hope they give us an ofifical closing date for the Splash Mountain rides. Hadn't planned on going to either Disney park any time soon but definitely would like to get on once more before it closes for good. I wish they would have treated this more like the Tower of Terror / Guardians of the Galaxy and have kept Splash at one of the parks here and put this new one at the other.

That I agree with but I just think it could also be handled differently with the person who took the video giving it to the friends there and authorities instead of rushing to social media to post it. Just would never cross my mind to rush to social media to post something like this if I had been the one filming it.

Obviously doesn't warrant it's own thread but curious to see how this ends up going with 2 of the cheapest airlines to fly if you don't have any bags or expectations merging, Spirit and Frontier... https://www.cnbc.com/2022/02/07/frontier-and-spirit-to-merge-creating-5th-largest-airline-in-us.html "Frontier Airlines and Spirit Airlines, the two largest discount carriers in the U.S., have agreed to merge in a deal valued at $6.6 billion, creating what would become the fifth-largest airline in the country."
