  1. Nobody has the real answer, it's going to be wait and see what happens.
  2. I thought Class Action Park was worth a watch even if it could have been cut down by about 20 mins or so. Some of the people they interviewed definitely seemed like they were trying to ham up to the cameras but there's a decent amount of footage and stuff I hadn't known about as I never had went to the park. They did focus quite a bit on how the owner was really not a good person and the messed up things he would do simply because he had the money and arrogance to do so and they touched on the deaths that happened there and even interviewed some family members of a young man who died there. I also thought it was a little bit too much member berries and reliving the glory days of how that generation thinks they had it so great and they were the best and blah blah blah. Definitely worth a watch for anyone who likes theme parks enough to be on a message board for one though so I do recommend watching it lol
  3. I haven't been to the parks nor checked the app since this all started and I just checked the app and all my passes were upgraded from the old gold membership to the gold plus membership automatically
  4. Have you tried giving them a call to see if they will match it since it was only a month before? I've had good experiences with their customer service before and worst case scenario they will just say no.
  5. These are some nice perks if you're a local or are still going during this time period to make up for missing out on a free ticket to Halloween horror nights and valet parking(something I personally just never use) I'm sure some will still complain about it not being enough though. I was planning on renewing my passes before this covid mess but unfortunately I just don't see myself renewing them because I'm not interested in getting on a plane or traveling right now so it's hard to justify renewing when I have no idea when I'll be going back. Its not like six flags where I can justify paying the money and not going. When it comes time to renew I've read they give you like 20% for paying in full. Mine is up in October not including the months tacked on for being closed but I think they should offer a future activation date. Like for me I don't plan on going any time the rest of the year and definitely not before the spring of 2021 but if you gave me the incentive of 20% off for paying in full but I can choose lets say September 2021 as the first month I would be able to use my passes I would sign up for that. At least it would keep some cash coming in for them. Here's the email... 6. Halloween Horror Nights is cancelled. I had a blast at least years and was really disappointed that I was going to miss this year's but I guess it really just wasn't worth the time and effort and money for them to have to alter the whole event enough to make it safe for everyone involved. I'm sure they will go all out next year and hopefully all this stuff is over by then so we can all attend.
  7. I'm curious to see where they put this. With volcano and the crypt gone there is so much room there in that whole area now. I'm a fan of these rides but I won't ever wait longer than 15-20 mins for it.
  8. 1) Millenium Force - just so much damn fun and it never gets old riding it 2) Steel Vengeance 3) Maverick 4) Dragster 5) Magnum 6) Valravn 7) Gemini 8) Gatekeeper 9) Raptor 10) Iron Dragon 11) Rogarou 12) Blue Streak 13) Cedar Creek Mine Ride 14) Corkscrew - fun to watch going over your head but that's about it 15) Wicked Twister - just personally my least favorite kind of coaster, I always feel like trash after I ride one so I just always skip this one and the one at Dorney anytime I'm there.
  9. Guess this will be the new trend of lawsuits for this year... https://triblive.com/local/westmoreland/parents-sue-kennywood-sandcastle-idlewild-over-mask-requirements/ The parents of four children with medical conditions are suing Kennywood, Sandcastle Waterpark and Idlewild & SoakZone, contending their ownership violated federal law and Pennsylvania Health Department coronavirus orders by requiring all patrons to wear face masks. The federal lawsuit contends that Palace Entertainment, parent company of the parks, has denied the plaintiffs and their children access to its parks in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Pennsylvania Health Department directives. The children have medical conditions that prevent them from wearing masks, according to the lawsuit. It seeks punitive and compensatory damages and an injunction forcing Palace to amend its policy and accommodate people with medical conditions. Kennywood spokesman Nick Paradise said corporate policy prohibited him from commenting on pending litigation. Pittsburgh attorney Thomas Anderson, who has filed similar lawsuits against Giant Eagle over mask requirements and represents the four plaintiffs, could not be reached for comment. He filed the complaint Friday on behalf of Janine Wood of Bolivar, Jackie Webber of Kennedy Township, Ryan Walsh of Verona and Lisa Mazzoni of Irwin. “Guests who cannot wear masks for medical reasons are denied full and equal access to the parks,” the lawsuit said. “Plaintiffs have each been denied full and equal access to the parks in violation of Title III of the ADA.” It also contends that the parks are violating Pennsylvania Health Department orders, which provide an exemption to mask requirements for people with medical conditions. On Tuesday, Wood was denied access to Idlewild when she attempted to enter the park with her daughter, according to the lawsuit. “Idlewild security guards prevented entry and screamed at the child, causing her to have a mental breakdown and to break out in hives due to anxiety,” the complaint said. Anderson has filed numerous lawsuits against Giant Eagle on behalf of clients from across the region, alleging its mask policy is discriminatory under the disability act.
  10. Glad the horse and nobody else was hurt, kinda amazing that sort of thing doesn't happen when the park is absolutely packed but it happens with what looks like basically nobody there lol
  11. Fast and the furious should have been a slam dunk for Studios but they messed up something as simple as racing cars. They really should just gut the inside of that ride completely and put something that serves the franchise better. The entranceway and the garage queue is great but the two scene rooms and party bus watching a screen is just so meh. Something like the cars ride at Disney's California adventure would have been perfect. It's even more crazy they messed this up considering that the fast and the furious franchise is their highest grossing franchise. Fallon is newer too and while I'm not a fan of Fallon at all I actually ended up liking the ride. I do think they could have picked something else that would have interested a lot more people though.
  12. Ah yeah I forgot about all that. Still going to push crowds into other lines and places in the park which definitely hurts them under these circumstances.
  13. That really sucks if it's true, especially with the park needing a ride that eats up some lines.
  14. I wonder if they have that on video, the ride already has safety precautions so something like that isn't allowed to happen and even if it somehow did I just can't imagine that the kid's harness was above his head without any of the workers or people on the line noticing and saying something.
  15. I use a magnetic hide a key under my car with the key. I'd be more worried someone saw me do that or the magnet decides to stop working and falls and someone ends up driving away with my car lol I'd rather pay the $1 or $2 if I can't keep my keys in my pockets lol
  16. Sad news, looks like this is the coaster... [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] https://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/ny-woman-dies-roller-coaster-france-20200705-mi3bly3evjfanaddt7xb7skiwq-story.html An amusement park attendee fell from a roller coaster and died over the weekend in a horrific accident in France, according to officials. The woman, who has not been identified, died at the scene after falling from the Formula 1 Coaster at the Parc Saint-Paul in Oise on Sunday, CNN reported. Responders attempted to resuscitate the woman but were not able to revive her. The roller coaster was previously at the center of another death at the park in 2009, CNN reported, citing the venue’s president. Parc Saint-Paul, which reopened on June 6 with new coronavirus guidelines, shut down the area of the park where the woman fell following the incident. “At this time, the cause of the accident cannot be determined,” an Amiens police official said, according to French outlet FR24 News. The woman had been at the park to celebrate her 2-year-old child’s birthday and was accompanied by her husband, sister and mother, FR24 News reported.
  17. Actually it doesn't seem like Dr. Facilier will definitely even be part of this ride which would be a shame because he's an amazing villian. I hope they bring him back in some form though, even if it's just a flashback or something. I didn't realize it until I read the Disney website this morning... https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2020/06/new-adventures-with-princess-tiana-coming-to-disneyland-park-and-magic-kingdom-park/?CMP=SOC-DPFY20Q3wo0625200701200001C ”We pick up this story after the final kiss, and join Princess Tiana and Louis on a musical adventure – featuring some of the powerful music from the film – as they prepare for their first-ever Mardi Gras performance."
  18. Not that I needed more reasons to but this gives me yet another excuse to go back to Tokyo Disney. I love Splash Mountain and while I think Princess and the Frog is a great movie too I would have much rather have kept Splash how it is and have an entirely new ride for Princess and the frog
  19. Disney cancelled the Halloween parties, I'm curious to see if Universal ends up cancelling Halloween horror nights next... https://www.clickorlando.com/news/local/2020/06/19/mickeys-not-so-scary-halloween-party-at-disney-world-will-not-take-place-in-2020-due-to-covid-19-pandemic/ Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Disney World will not take place in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, Disney posted online on Thursday. Disney officials said with stage shows, parades, and fireworks they would not be able to host the events. A decision on this year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and the EPCOT Candlelight processional has not been made at this time, according to Disney.
  20. Glad to see Universal was a much better experience for you guys than SeaWorld, hopefully they get their act together for your next visit there.
  21. Very disappointed in SeaWorld, how hard is it to go place tape on the ground 6 feet apart outside the queue? It should have been obvious that the queue would spill out to the walkway if it had 6 feet markers throughout the queue. Do you know if they even had markers inside the queue? It's a simple thing that so many places that aren't even theme parks are doing. Unfortunately a lot of people are just going to ignore things unless it's pointed out to them over and over. This kind of stuff happening at this park is exactly why I'm just skipping parks for now. I'm in the camp that has no desire to wear a mask all day outside but I'm choosing not to go to the parks so I'm not affecting anyone else. If people don't want to follow the rules and wear masks they should just stay home too. I'd be perfectly fine with SeaWorld and any park throwing out people who take their masks off but there are other parks that don't even throw people out for taking cell phones out on rides so it's probably never going to happen.
  22. Same I enjoyed the hell out of Hagrids, I'm looking forward to going back and getting a night ride eventually. That new Jurassic Park ride looks like a ton of fun. Nice report!
  23. 1 - nope 2 - I've had 5 different trips that I would have gone to a few parks during that ended up being cancelled because of the parks being closed / events not related to theme parks being cancelled during all this and in the future so I didn't go / am no longer going on the trips. I was running a few 5ks and half marathons at some theme parks that ended up being cancelled as well. I have no problems wearing a mask to the supermarket or another essential place but I know I'll be miserable in a mask all day, especially if it's hot, so I have no desire to spend money going somewhere when I know I won't enjoy myself. There's a bunch of new amazing looking rides that are opening this year but I'm perfectly fine with waiting till next year to ride them. 3 - the only thing I would really want to go to the rest of the year that's something I feel like I might be missing out is Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando. That would really depend on how they announce things though and what the houses are plus if the numbers still remain low. I also don't care to fly this year either so I'd have to drive so I really doubt I end up going. I'll wait and see about that but if I miss it, I miss it. I am however keeping my six flags and Busch/SeaWorld passes going every month though since I don't mind supporting the parks / I want to stay locked in to my current prices anyway.
  24. I have no problems wearing a mask to go out and do essential things but I really don't enjoy the heat much so wearing one all day at an amusement park during the summer isn't worth it to me. Especially if it includes spending more money to travel to these places. The last time I was at Dollywood in August it was so hot and I definitely wouldn't want to be there in a mask. I don't think I'm being entitled by not wanting to spend my money or time on an experience I know I won't enjoy. The entitled ones are the ones who will still go to the parks and then bitch and moan about the masks to customer service or even try get by the system to be excused from wearing a mask at a park even though they can wear one.
