  1. Another factor I believe applies to “expiring” of a coaster is when a manufacturer goes out of business and other companies don’t buy off their assets. If a critical part that only the manufacturer can make fails, a cheaper option for parks is to tear down the coaster instead of spending a lot of money creating a custom part.
  2. Despite the shady stuff that happened in the KC schlitterbaun, it really is in a very good location. Cedar Fair can gain some attendence with it.
  3. Wait... someone actually expects a Six Flags park to have their rides open on time?
  4. “Left side or Right side? Well there is only one side you can pick most of the time...”
  5. I know the photo is crappy, but I guess six flags can use Darien Lake’s old slogan at any park now
  6. Six Flags St Louis is about 40 minutes away from the city of St Louis and the Mississippi River. Six Flags is NOT in a flood zone. It would take WaterWorld levels to flood the park. And even if you get rained on, the park will not close. If its a torrental downpour, the rides will close (except for Justice League) and you just wait under a roof until it stops. I know because I had quite a few visits like this.
  7. Ok some of those pictures, I can’t tell if they’re the real coaster itself or the model! Great job! I really love all the detail you put into it
  8. Me! I love Ultimate!
  9. All I really want to see is the animatronics that they’re going to reuse get a refurb. They have seen better days before the ride closed.
  10. The station platform for the original Moon Cars is still there. It’s the random pad of raised concrete when you enter the picnic area
  11. I'm a local to Stl. I'm just interested in defunct attractions Also I have a strong stomach. I once ate a whole Johnny Rockets meal and rode king chaos at six flags great america in 2014
  12. So here’s a mini report I made it to the park about a hour before the event so I can get some food with the dining plan. After I ate some ok tasting orange chicken from the new Chop Six, I headed over to the new Supergirl ride for the preview about 20 minutes early. Good timing too because once I lined up, the line got 3 times longer within the next minute. Around one, they announced they were having a problem with the ride, which I expected (you can’t have a perfect opening day or preview). They handed out vouchers for the free Kryptonite ice cream sample, and passed the sample out to the people in line. Supergirl came out and waited by the exit to take pictures with the members after they got off the ride. They let us in the line and they were testing the ride. I guess they had an issue because they weren’t letting anyone on. While waiting, I took the time to appreciate the very delicate and detailed themeing. Each low resolution cutout of the crystals looked like they were placed with care and perfection. Almost like it was a Disney park! Good job Six Flags! After a while I begain to notice a problem with the queue: Only canopies in the entrance part, but none on the part that wraps around the ride. It was very VERY hot out. I asked my dad (who didn’t want to ride) to bring some water, and he took a while because all the nearby stalls were closed and the pizza place next to Supergirl was crowded as f*ck. My dad ended up getting water all the way from Fowl Ball. In the meantime, it was getting too damn hot... ...I had to bail. I waited an hour in the blazing hot sun while the issues were still being fixed. I left the line and I noticed that even the person dressed as Supergirl was missing. I guess she bailed because hardly anyone was going up to her. I got a sample of the Ice Cream they were handing out and it was a berry flavored ice cream, Pretty good. I left the park after that. If anyone got to ride Supergirl today, good for you. Here are photos: Picture I took earlier. Note the detailed themeing Krytonite ice cream. It’s a berry flavored ice cream. Supergirl testing
  13. I’m about to preview Supergirl. I may do a mini report later
  14. Try Maxx after Maxx Force. Or “Boogie-Woogie Space Coaster”
  15. when's the membership preview for viewing that support?
  16. That is one of those rides you see in cartoons and think “no way thats actually gonna happen in reality”
  17. Six Flags St Louis advertises you can see the StL arch from our skyscreamer
  18. They don't care about the maps on their site. You guys can get one tomorrow at the park
  19. Has Little Dipper at SFGAm gotten that bad? I never thought I'd see a kiddie coaster make it on the worst wooden coasters list
  20. They will renew. The only time where Six Flags won't renew is if they suddenly lost a TON of money and had to go out of business. It won't happen. Lets move on. SOOOO how is El Diablo? Is it testing?
  21. Really, I’m looking forward to the opening weekend so everyone can complain about how very little changed aside from skyscreamer and park signs
  22. I mean, they gotta reuse the VR headsets somehow right?
