  1. Gemini would be pretty easy to handle without restraints.
  2. I'm actually a defender of dive machines and Valravn. As evident throughout my posts regarding Valravn's progress in this thread, but your favorite steel? Those are super high expectations, the kind that made everyone dislike Gatekeeper. I've always had high expectations for B&M's, and I'm rarely disappointed by their coasters. I suppose favorite is a strong word, but Valravn will probably be in my top five. I've always liked dive coasters, anyway.
  3. I am extremely excited to ride Valravn when it's open, based on the videos and everything that they've put out so far. I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes my favorite steel coaster.
  4. I use to feel the same way. Then I "learned" how to ride Magnum without getting the crap beat of me, and now I really enjoy it. Also, I feel like Magnum has lost a lot of popularity because of Millennium Force and Dragster.
  5. I've never puked, but I've gotten sick before. I'm not much of a nauseous person while riding theme park rides.
  6. GateKeeper at Cedar Point is up there when it comes to fun. It's hard not to be smiling after riding it, and it's so comfortable and smooth. It could be the only thing I ride in one trip, and I would still never get bored of it.
  7. I use to feel the same way. Then I "learned" how to ride Magnum without getting the crap beat of me, and now I really enjoy it. Yeah, Magnum is one of those "shaky" ones, but just the whole personality of Magnum makes it so great. The trains, the layout, everything. It was a huge thing at the time of its opening, which makes it that much more special. I love Magnum. Something about the shakiness just makes it that much more great.
  8. Yeah, that's what I meant when I said it costed more than it was worth. It's a good coaster and all, but there have been about 5 "incidents" with mechanical issues, and simply just not as good as some of the other coasters out there.
  9. Front row is definitely great on Floorless coasters. Something about it is amazing.
  10. Agreed. Those seats are surprisingly comfortable, even when you're going 120 miles per hour.
  11. I'll I'm thinking is Raptor photobombs, yet again. Sorry Raptor, it's not 1994 anymore, you're not going to get all the attention
  12. It seems that every time I'm about to ride Raptor, it shuts down right before I'm supposed to go on..... but we all know that Raptor seems to be the "sassiest" of the coasters
  13. The Magnum XL-200 trains are so eighties, so those are probably my favorite
  14. The Smiler at Alton Towers. That ride costed more than it was worth.
  15. I don't know why I need to know, but where is Maverick on your listings for CP?? Maverick would probably be #7. I love Maverick, but it's not my top favorite.

  17. What's funny about me is I'll (obviously) notice the loudness before I'm on the coaster, but I never seem to hear it when I'm actually experiencing it. I kind of like it when roller coasters are loud, it gives them character, in a sort of way.
  18. Raptor is quite overrated like some of you are saying. I've never rode Montu, although I've been wanting to. It's hard for me to go to theme parks (such as Busch Gardens) in the south because I live in the Midwest, but hopefully I'll be able to go this summer. Oh, and if I were to rank my top five coasters in CP, I'd say Millennium Force (1), Raptor (2), Dragster (3), GateKeeper (4), Magnum (5). I don't know how to feel about Rougarou/New Mantis. It's not as shaky as Mantis was, but it still gives me a good old headache
  19. One thing I've come to notice is when it comes to the CP community, you either love Raptor, or hate it. I haven't met anyone who's "neutral" Personally, I love Raptor. I would consider it to be my favorite inverted roller coaster. On the other hand, though, one of my close friends hates it. Perhaps it all depends on your intensity tolerance, or something similar to that....I don't know
  20. It depends. For inverted coasters, winged coasters, etc. I like to sit in the front, because I get more of a sensation that I'm flying. However, for coasters with a lot of airtime, sitting in the back is definitely better.
  21. One thing I'm hoping is that Valravn will finished in a reasonable amount of time. I'm going to Cedar Point in late May next season, and I sure hope it'll be opened when I go....
  22. You might be a coaster nerd if......you get in a strange depressed state whenever a trip to a theme park is over.
  23. I can not truly enjoy wooden roller coasters for the life of me. Okay, the newer ones that have been coming out over the past few years are definitely better than some of the older ones, but wooden roller coasters really are not my thing. Whenever I ride a wooden coaster, I get some sort of headache or pain, due to the thrashing around. Steel roller coasters are more of my cup of tea..... Mean Streak at Cedar Point is my nemesis.
