  1. Can you give some summaries of the line there? What does TTD and Maverick and MF look like. Its slightly chilly at 13 degrees celcius, so that would probably drive some people away but if I would make a prediction, TTD, Maverick, and MF should be under 30-45 minutes? Am I right? I was just about to post that TTD is down currently but it looks like they are ready to test. MF: We were on in 30, but it's been fluctuating up to 60. Maverick: Apps says 60, haven't made it back that far yet. Ya Raptor has been going pretty often. The apps usually overstate. In my home park Canada's Wonderland it was saying crazy stuff like 75 minutes and it was actually about 15 and 25 if you waited for front row

  3. On the plus side, they'll leave by 4-5pm. Gives you a good couple hours with an empty park! I'm curious to hear how crowds and lines changed throughout the day Same We are heading to CP on Wednesday staying until saturday, and we expect very low lines, due to how early it is in the season and how it is the weekday during a non-summer week. Even if the physics program is busy, schools will be leaving from 2-4 PM and then we have like 4 hours to ride after.
  4. I think on cwmania someone said they saw someone manage it, it probably would be pretty hard due to the center of gravity, varying wind speeds and vibrations
  5. Yea during a more off-day my friend and I got to be on the edge seats with no one on the 3 inner seats, we had a pretty intense experience. We also once had a group of "guests of exceptional size" sitting next to us and the ride was boring. Skyhawk is great because it encourages re-rides. My friend and I got probably 179 degrees upside down, I could NOT get it to flip! I think the problem is when I get inverted and stall, I forget to swing back in the other direction to actually invert. Anyways, we rode it 4 or 5 times and there is still a massive incentive for us to ride it again to get it to flip. I think the ride would actually be better just swinging back and forth rather than flipping, because you get some great stall time inverted rather than continuously spinning, but I want to be able to flip at least once so I know HOW to.
  6. Maverick first, start at the magnum entrance (closest to hotel too) I've done this every time I've been here, its a very quiet nice entrance, and if you even jog to maverick you will get there FIRST. I also find maverick much more unreliable and usually has larger lines later, so I just marathon this ride until open
  7. Has Mean Streak opened yet? My friend and I are going wednesday next week. Mean Streak is not my favorite ride or anything but it would be a shame to miss it, its pretty iconic.
  8. My friend and I just went last weekend. MINEBUSTER NEEDS TO BE RMCd There is about 1 noticeable airtime hill right after the drop, other than that the ride is uneventful. Wild beast is better than it in every way. an RMC could also interact with the water park like minebuster does as well. Imagine a RMC zero g stall going over one of the other water slides, that would be awesome. I was at Canada's Wonderland on Friday and found Mighty Canadian Minebuster to be quite enjoyable as usual. I don't fully believe we're going to see Mighty Canadian Minebuster RMC'd anytime soon. We're more than likely going to see it just get re-tracked with new lumber. I think all the work that is going near Mighty Canadian Minebuster's first drop is for a new Splashworks addition next year. It could possibly be for a drop slide complex like the other water parks in the chain have been receiving over the past few years. Have you ridden the new Wild Beast with the new retrack for that portion of the track? I swear that makes it run past that point so much faster, I felt like I was getting LOTS of lateral Gs on that turn right after it and the airtime hills after that was MUCH more potent No, not yet. I haven't been on Wild Beast since my first and only traumatizing ride on it back in 2010. But, I do enjoy the other wooden coasters in the park. During last year's off-season, the park re-tracked the first drop and during this off season they re-track even more. If more people claim it to be more enjoyable now than it was six years ago, then I may try Wild Beast again. But, that fan curve over the station looks quite painful. Hopefully they'll re-track it during the next off-season. But, I am more of a fan of out-and-back coasters as there's very little side-to-side movement. I think that minebuster is a bit smoother just cause its going straight, but the part where it does that massive helix at the end is worse than any part on wild beast. I prefer wild beast much more to minebuster but yes its a bit more bumpy for the overall ride.
  9. Does anyone know why they removed skyrider so early? If we were getting a new ride in place this year it would make sense to remove it last year but its gonna be 2 years of empty land. I am really sad that I didn't get to ride sky rider this year and last year, I loved that ride, had some great airtime and never had a line. Too bad it had to go.

  11. Yea the platinum dining plan is awesome, I got it at CW but we are travelling to CP and with the crappy CAD exchange rate it will pay for itself fast. I with they allowed to "downscale" with the pass though. I usually get there in the morning, use my pass for dinner, and leave at around 5 or so when my pass is allowing its second meal after the 4 hour thing. If they let me get a corndog or funnel cake rather than an entree combo, I would be very happy, and Cedar Fair is making more money off me redeeming for a lesser item

  13. A lot of the rides have cubbies where you can leave things like that, but due to different loading procedures, maverick, millenium force and top thrill dragster, don't have these things. My friend has glasses, bring zip up pocketed cargo shorts or you can actually hold them pretty well by folding them and clutching them on the restraints.
  14. At Canada's Wonderland we have 2 large scale PTC woodies, and recently Wild Beast got a small refurbishment, that was the smoothest part of the ride and both of our woodies would be so much more enjoyable if the entire ride was refurbished. I swear the ride after that was much faster and much more forceful.
  15. Lol, was thinking the same thing! The perspective of the webcam makes it look like something catastrophic happened There is some guy in the lower platform, maybe a chain problem?
  16. Those pics are such good quality! So excited when we are going on wednesday may 18th!
  17. I always use this gate as an "exit gate" because its a nice walk along the beach in the dark back to the hotel. I always go in the magnum entrance to go in, I think its the fastest to maverick and there is never a large line there (also closest to the hotel).
  18. Asking here is definitely a great start! I frequent the park every two weeks or so. Maybe we could create some sort of Canada's Wonderland group this summer! We are going this Sunday likely. We usually get there for opening and leave at around 4PM. Maybe we could meet up and ride together for an hour or two
  19. Did anyone else go last night for the seasons pass preview night? Got to try out the skyhawk ride, we waited 45 minute then right when we were loading, the ride broke down. We waited total of 1 hour for this ride. The duration at max height is only 30 seconds, max I would wait for this ride is 15 minutes but really the only time I would be riding this ride is on an empty day where I can get a couple rides in a row to try and beat my record. Onto the ride, I think it was pretty fun but I could not get it to flip. I could get inverted, but a couple degrees from flipping. My friend had the same problem. I guess I gotta practice a strategy.
  20. I bought that platinum food pass, from the site it says that the pass only works for really the meal combos, with a main and a fries. But lets say its 4 and I want to leave the park, but I have 1 of the meals left, and I feel like a corn dog on the way out. Can I do this? I would be using that meal credit on a 7$ item rather than a 14$ combo, would CW let me do that? It seems like it would be in their interest to allow to buy cheaper things.
  21. Same. All 3 trains out and about on Valravn! Gad dammit watching the train hang for like 10 minutes at the block brakes on the top is so annoying, just go down the drop already!!
  22. Last time I went I just went to breakers and it was a great hotel. Great location and clean, also we had a great view out the window at some rides. The cabins are great too but a bit farther and sometimes hard to find when its late at night.
