  1. Very cool but it looks spread out I prefer back to back elements.
  2. They aren't even good flyers (Knoebels!!). I also did a temporary switch to Six Flags season passes this year. Might make the trip for Valravn, or CW.. But I'm not planning on hitting up Valleyfair this year. I'm hopping on this train.
  3. Really? Why. Everyone knows excalibur's days are numbered and at that point why not just remove thunder canyon to add a coaster. The flooding is not ideal, but manageable.
  4. It was Como in St. Paul but then they got a wild mouse in 2015.
  5. The Riptide section of land seems very favorable to me as well. However, there is no way it could interact with the PowTow bridge. For one, it bounces. Second, the train already goes under it and there isn't anywhere to reroute the tracks to. It would be dam cool though. Solutions: 1. Change the structure of the bridge, shouldn't be too big of a deal. 2. Just take out a flat in PS to reroute it.
  6. If we were to receive a larger coaster it could go in the corkscrew location as well as the dino area. It would interact with the entrance midway and planet snoopy.
  7. Is Appollos chariot a hyper? It's only 170 feet but it has a 200 foot drop. It doesn't reach 200 feet but I still consider it a hyper because of the drop. Hmm..
  8. I'm hoping 2017 will be our year for something great. I like the wave, not riding it, but watching it. Also it's a classic. Riptide can leave now though and i agree a station would go good there because That area could use a coaster, a while back someone said an inversion could interact with the Power Tower bridge, and I would like to see some midway interaction.
  9. This was a long while back but me and my friends were probably like 12 and we rode the Wild Thing at VF. Some frat boys were spitting and it hit us! We screamed and yelled and when we got off the ride a bunch of teenage girls stood up for us and yelled at them and then things got violent and we all were kicked out of the park! I didn't go back to VF for a while after that but it's way in my past now.
  10. DoinItForTheFame - wow this is actually a real thread I thought you were joking. Probably Magic Mountain is the best but it's practically a tie with Great Adventure
  11. I swear to god, sometimes these CP fanboys really get on my nerves.
  12. 1. Cedar Point 2. KI and Carowinds 3. CW 4. KD 5. Knotts 6. Dorney 7. VF and WoF 8. CGA 9. MIA
  13. Yo man, we haven't talked about that for several pages. Let's not start again. Please Yeah every now and then some random person that doesn't know anything about Valleyfair just comes here to say that and it's ironic like you said because that wasn't even what we were talking about.
  14. Aw that's sad ^ Treat: Vekoma Flying Dutchman
  15. That's so cool, I'm happy for you! It's weird to think someone my age has a job at Valleyfair.
  16. Ok removing the wave is not an open space. Seriously though, do we have any open spaces?
  17. Probably not, I don't think a dark ride could fit in the Galaxy Theatre building unless it was a very short ride. If/when they get a dark ride, I think they should remove The Wave for it. REMOVE the Wave? What kind of Monster are you? The Wave isn't going anywhere until that thing is dead. It's too much of a crowd pleaser, esp. on a hot day. It usually has decent ridership, and operates reliably. Could they possibly expand the ball factory? It's kinda small though, and holds a bunch of operations supplies (the height stick graveyard, water jugs, etc.) They could possibly expand the ball factory or galaxy theatre because what other building is there? CF said every park has a building available for a potential dark ride.
  18. Just when I thought I wouldn't be hitting up any new parks this year all of a sudden Dollywood and Kings Island are possible! probably just Dollywood though. I'm excited for Lightning Rod!
  19. Maybe the galaxy theatre will soon hold a dark ride.
  20. ^I think your probably right, I wonder what the show could be. Ideas? Or is that going too far into the future.
  21. Afterburn and Phantoms Revenge, havent ridden either but the layouts seem pretty awesome.
  22. Don't see you much on the thread lately.
  23. I agree but we got some in 2014 and 2016 I am not sure if they are going to add more in the next couple years after that, but it probably doesn't matter. I agree that in the next few years VF should focus on some larger projects than flats, whether that be a coaster or the proposed water park entrance and removal of Excalibur plan. Even a thrill ride which could count as a flat I guess.
  24. Yes, that. Amazing coasters like full throttle and Gatekeeper have layouts that just make me think what were they thinking? A super steep 160 foot drop right into a break run? TTD has this too but they already spent 25 million on the ride, Full Throttle could have done more because it only cost 6 million. A giant airtime hill on a wing coaster that provides no airtime? Those are some layout flaws in some coasters that have decent layouts.
