  1. ^^Thanks! Mine is from SFNE but it didn’t offer me four at Great Adventure on multiple visits either. Now that I think about it when I went to TGE on opening day it was totally dead due to weather so I didn’t even bother getting the passes there.
  2. That’s interesting. Where does it say that Diamond Elite members skip the line passes are for up to four people? That would be cool but doesn’t really make sense from the parks perspective when it’s a specific perk for the DE member. Same for premium show seating and some of the other specific member perks which are only for the member. I’ve only been to three SF’s Park’s this year but each of them only offered the skip the lines passes for the DE member not a group of four. I did read that a few people got lucky when flash pass was closed or broken and they were given the passes that you are mentioning at guest relations. Either way good for you if you’ve been getting them with regularity at other SF parks.
  3. I last rode it July 3rd and it was hauling. I think it was the best ride I ever had on it.
  4. ^I haven’t been on TT but for me I liked WC more than Twisted Colossus. Just felt more complete to me instead of the dual similar runs. Not that I didn’t like TC because I absolutely did.
  5. This is one of the coolest looking coasters that I’ve seen. Layout looks nuts. Can’t wait to see what other major coasters are going to be announced for 2019.
  6. Great report. I’ve gotten lucky on slow days when they let you skip the preshow. Even a few straight rerides but overall we really enjoy this park. We drove here from Coastermania and some extra time there and then spent two days here this year. Great Trip.
  7. Awesome report. Looks like an interesting park. Thanks for sharing.
  8. Wow sorry to hear that you had such a bad time. This is my home park and I’ve never had an experience like yours. As a matter of fact the weather was not good July 3rd yet the park stayed open, got all the rides back open and still held the evening ERT even though the park was virtually empty.
  9. We decided to take an evening trip to SFNE to checkout the July 4th Fest fireworks and the after party evening ERT on basically everything in the Gotham City section. We got to the park at 7 p.m. and were told that all of the rides were down except for the kids rides. Lightning was still in the area. We went in and walked around a bit then grabbed a bite. Just as we were finishing we heard Scream start testing. Just like that everything started running. Since it was so hot and most of the rides had been closed the park was very empty. We walked on the majority of the coasters and only had a one train wait for Superman. Harley Quinn was at most a cycle wait too. Wicked Cyclone was running extremely fast through the entire course. It gave one of the best rides that I’ve ever had on it. When we got off the fireworks started so we watched them from WC’s exit ramp. We thought they were good and they lasted a solid 15 minutes. Then we headed back to Gotham City for the party and ERT. Originally only Diamond and Diamond Elite members got in for free. For everyone else you either needed a receipt from the food festival or the special July 4th cup. To the parks credit they announced that any passes holders or members could also get in free now. Guessing this was due to the low attendance but still cool of the park to do. They had a DJ in front of Joker during the ERT hour which included lights, smoke and foam. All in all we had a great time and credit to the park for getting everything back up and running and for also not canceling the ERT. Here’s a few pics from the evening. Harley Quinn all lit up and looking awesome! A few shots of the fireworks from Wicked Cyclone’s exit ramp. DJ setup for the after party.
  10. When we were there on Thursday and Friday they did have multiple no bag lines. They are all the way to the left hand side. They had security watching too make sure that no bags were brought into those lines.
  11. Thanks to all of the positive comments. I love doing the media events. I’m very happy that others appreciated the report. Thanks!
  12. Six Flags New England invited TPR to attend their media day for the all new Harley Quinn Spinsanity. Harley Quinn is a Zamperla Giant Discovery that has been added to the newly themed Gotham City section, South End, of the park and fittingly it sits right next to last year's addition The Joker. The new SFNE Park President, Pete Carmichael, kicked off the event by introducing the ride and also recognizing several who were in attendance. Communications Manager, Jen McGrath, was up next and she shared more stats about the ride and then introduced the Western Massachusetts President of Dress for Success, Dawn Creighton. As part of media day SFNE was supporting Dress for Success, which is an international non-profit with the mission to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Impressively as an organization they have helped over one million women already. Some of the clients of Dressed for Success were in attendance to be the first riders on Harley Quinn. With the help of several companies SFNE was able to present a $6,000 check and also they donated 200 tickets to the park to help further the non-profits reach. With all of the craziness and mistreatment of women in Hollywood and elsewhere I just wanted to share those details since it really is awesome that SFNE was supporting this organization. OK, back to the ride! Jen then got the media event rolling again by introducing Batman, Joker, Riddler & finally the star of the day Harley Quinn. The ride itself is now the second fastest in the park with a top speed of 70 MPH. Only Superman is faster. The ride starts off a little slow but with it's forceful swing Harley Quinn and the 40 passengers on board really get moving and max out with a 150 ft. high swing in each direction. The views of the park are incredible and it's crazy how close you swing next to The Joker adding even more fun to an already thrilling ride. At it's max height and depending on where you are spin wise it almost feels like you go somewhat upside down. Harley Quinn Spinsanity is absolutely awesome and by far my favorite flat in the park. Honestly it's up there as one of my favorite rides in the entire park. SFNE has another huge hit on their hands and I think it will be an insanely popular ride addition. A big thanks to Jen and the Six Flags New England team for the invite to another fun media day and also to Robb for having us cover it! Here's some pics from the event. I added a couple of park provided ones too. Welcome to Six Flags New England! Sorry guys I'm not here to see you today but thanks for the friendly welcome. Now we're getting warmer. Heading through Rockville towards the South End. Which is now Gotham City. Of course Batman is here. However this is the reason why we are here today. Last year SFNE added The Joker. This year's new addition is Harley Quinn Spinsanity. Along with the Joker the Riddler was in attendance welcoming his Gotham City newly themed ride The Riddler Revenge. If you haven't ridden this with the new trains from last year you have to check it out. It's nothing like your standard SLC anymore. No head banging and a super fun ride now. Here's today's main star. Harley Quinn! A big welcome to Six Flags New England's new Park President Pete Carmichael. Had a good time chatting with him for a bit. Here's the donation check that SFNE and other sponsors presented to Dress for Success. Great job SFNE! Jen and Harley Officially Opening Harley Quinn Spinsanity! Hey Harley let's check out the queue. Here's several shots of the ride in action. Check out how close it comes to The Joker Nice overview of Gotham City with The Joker, Batman, Riddler Revenge & the awesome new addition Harley Quinn Spinsanity. Superman is lurking in the background as a bonus. Thanks again to SFNE and Robb for having us cover this event. Thanks to everyone who checks out the report as well. Goodbye from Six Flags New England for now.
  13. Did something break in the coaster poll? It's not loading with any formatting for me currently.
  14. ^Boldikus is right. Give it time. This was just my first impression from day one of it being open. I didn’t stand there to video each cycle to pick the best looking one and I believe this was only the third of the day. I was on the first full cycle with CJ but didn’t marathon it like he did LOL. We definitely flipped more on my second ride so the early mellowness could easily just be part of the break-in cycle. Either way I’d wait to ride it for yourself before drawing any conclusions from this.
  15. I just rode Cyborg. I’m shocked to say that it was very mellow. Fun ride but not nearly as intense as I was expecting. Second ride had more intensity to it so it seems to vary. Here’s a full off-ride video that I shot during this morning’s preview. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  16. I’ll be posting a media day report for HC later this week. It was last Thursday and we drove straight from there to Cedar Point for Coastermania so I just haven’t had the time to do it yet. We left Ohio today and decided to drive down to Great Adventure before heading home. We’re going to GA tomorrow so I’ll get the report up either Friday or Saturday. HC is by far my favorite flat in the park now. It’s awesome having it swing so close to Joker.
  17. It’s been an awesome day already with a whole lot more to go. SV is awesome. It seems like they are waiting for the train to hit the break run before they’ll send the next. One of our rides we were fully checked and still waited until the other train was back.
  18. We’ve checked in to Lighthouse Point and two train testing is still happening right now! Can’t wait for tomorrow
  19. I’ll be going. Hopefully the weather isn’t to bad but on the good side it should make for smaller lines.
  20. Holy crap. I’d love to try it but I know that would make me sick for sure.
  21. I’m popping my cherry June 1st and probably the Sunday thereafter. I’d love this. Please provide more info. Thanks!
  22. It’s not a big park compared to others but I’d say it’s great for families. They have a nice included water park to. This was the first “big” park that I went to as a kid. It was known as Storytown back then and a lot from that era is still around. As mentioned in the report Steamin’ Demon was the first looping coaster that I ever went on. I remember being scared to death and then feeling addicted after finally riding it LOL. I’ve never lost that addiction since so it’s great to see the park keeping that family feel for future coaster enthusiasts along with adding some newer rides now that SF’s owns it. Thanks! It really is. I thought it was running even better than a couple of years ago. The team running the ride was doing a great job too. Even with low attendance and only one train operation they were trying to get trains out ASAP.
  23. Exactly, I had an amazing experience. Thanks so much, Knotts for inviting us. We were able to ride from 7: am - 8:30 am and have a wonderful breakfast. After some technical adjustments and of course daily safety checks. While we waited from 6-7, We saw engineers testing the seatbelt strength. I admired seeing first hand Knotts commitment to safety. Yup you get it. I’ve had the opportunity to cover events at SFNE, Great Adventure and Dutch Wonderland thanks to TPR. I’m greatful every time Robb offers! Is everything always perfect, no but I’ve never had a bad time. The parks are always hospitable and mechanical issues are out of their control. It’s not like it makes any park happy if there are issues. If you don’t know how to have fun at events like this you just don’t know how to have fun and also don’t belong on TPR which was built for and on fun. Thanks again Robb for what you, your family & friends continue to do with TPR! Thanks for also sharing it with all of us!
  24. ^Yea it could but overall the park looked pretty good for an opening weekend overall.
