I agree Larry but like the concept. Encouraging ticket purchases early adds funds to the bottom line regardless of actual visit date.

I look at it as dedication LOL. Plus it’s now a fun SLC. Overall I agree though a lot of these clones are what they are and ranking them is not very necessary.

Looks like a lot of rain and with our three hour drive hopefully the park stays open Saturday as we are planning on going for our first HiTP at GA ever. Can’t wait!

^Yeah it’s infrastructure and a name change. No true new water park ride this year. I think the park has something bigger in store for 2020. Totally assumption though. They spent a lot of money with new full park’s as additions this year to the chain so smaller additions to current parks this year make sense.

Well that makes two of us. I left my JETS jacket at home though LOL.

This is really a great event at SFNE and I totally agree that Mind Eraser “The Riddler” may be the best coaster open during HiTP. Crazy to say about an SLC but true. The new restraints/trains have totally improved this now fun and aggressive coaster.

This was opening weekend for SFNE’s 2nd annual HiTP event. Like last year the park looks awesome. Same basic setup but even more lights and decorations have been added. Harley Quinn and the Teacups are new ride additions. Even though it wasn’t included in the ride list Flashback was also running. There was a pretty good crowd but it was funny to see longer lines on the kiddie rides compared to some coasters. SF is doing a good job with attracting families with younger kids to HiTP for sure. The park is selling a ton of the hot chocolate / coffee souvenir mugs. As we walked around it seemed like more people had them compared to those that didn’t. I bought one and with the 50% DE discount it was only $5. It’s also a good travel mug so not a bad deal at all. Tree lighting ceremony was the same and people packed in to watch it. Nothing officially announced yet but Panda Express has been removed. Maybe we’ll be seeing a Chop Six like some of the other parks next year. Before leaving we checked out the Frost show. Although it has the same name multiple sections of the show have been updated this year. I enjoyed it last time and thought this year was even a bit better. Overall we had a great time and will be heading back again to get a few more rides in before Jan. 1st. Hopefully the weather holds out so that HiTP will be a success for SFNE and they continue to grow the event. Here’s a few pics. Would love to see the coaster behind it added to HiTP in the future. Yup SFNE had a large red one last year. Definitely got a lot of attention as a photo spot. James Reid-Anderson was at SFNE checking out everything during the media day last year. Looks like Great Adventure added them this year too. SFMM looks great. Thanks for the report!

It was posted on GA History that the flames have been removed from El Diablo. Maybe the rumors of it getting sent to La Ronde are true.

That could easily mean the teacups and the Frisbee. Nobody should read too far into it. Totally agree but I do think it’s expanding beyond those two particular rides which are natural fits based on their locations. Could easily have just said no if it was totally out of the equation. No confirmation officially though just speculation.

^Yesterday when I was at the park I asked about WC for HiTP. I was told that they aren’t ready to release any info yet but did confirm that more rides will be added this year. Interesting fact. They are using the old Sky Way building for doing all of the FF makeup.

Great news! It’s being reported that Superman is back to running two trains. Didn’t think we would see it happen this year. Nice work by the maintenance crew!

Very interested to see how they take this ride and build it out for the Cyborg interactive dark ride experience. Could turn out to be a surprisingly fun addition.

Agreed ME / RR is a lot of fun now. Yeah it still doesn’t track well but who cares it’s fun. New restraints fixed the main issues.

I finally got on MF and to CP this year at Coastermania. The pure speed is just awesome but between the two I still think Superman, can’t use possessive because of contracts with DC, is the better layout but MF’s restraints and trains are so much better. Both are just awesome coasters.
