If you arrive before mid-day you will get on every coaster with no issue. The water park is more crowded than the coasters until mid-day. And if you avoid Saturdays, even better of a chance to conquer the dry side. Granted I visited the park a lot between 16-19 with no experience last year, but I don't see a drastic change because of that.

I'm doubting it, sure customer service will tell you that you need a reservation, but watch our video from Splash Lagoon a few weeks ago below. I think the concern for the virus has dropped in the region. -

I really don't recall making a reservation last year.... Park was empty when I went too... a Saturday in late August. And if reservations are required but you do not need to pay for admission. How will that work? That doesn't seem to mix well. -
I would agree with that, but Carowinds top 3 doesn't include Nighthawk.... SFA's does IMO (Batwing, Superman, Firebird). And I don't rank them based on my enjoyment, I do it based on what I see as far as lines when I'm inside the park. I think Batwing is a key piece of the park for SFA, whereas Carowinds if it closed, noone would care. If SFA puts in a 15 million $ coaster and removes Batwing, my above point is now void

Highly recommend - Tru by Hilton Louisville Airport It's across the street. For food, last time I was there it was August, 31 2020. What is not being covered by the mainstream news is the protesting continuing in the city well after the peak across the country. A lot of the restaurants were closing at 9 PM due to it and some of them had not been repaired yet (Eddie V's). You may want to look into that if things pick up again and perhaps eat at the park before it closes.

Has Hellcat ever been smooth and have the trims always been on it? I never rode it so only go by what I read. -

Wow surprising... two defunct parks in two years for them. As theme park lovers, we own them a few visits to help them get off the ground in their effort to keep these historic parks operating. And I almost spit out my coffee at the quote - Unfortunately, we had a wire transfer of money that didn’t clear in time,” said Melvin Brown, Fresh Development’s founder. - Typical South Jersey bull***t, what an excuse! It's not my fault!!! -
Yes it is, looked like a lot more in summer 2020. IMO it looks like water park phase 2 was certainly planned for back there... there's the rope path with the concrete decor that matches the rest of the park behind the waterslide complex that basically ends there. Instead, I think they started dropping other rides to the left and right of the wavepool rather than going back there.
