Quite a bit better crowd today than yesterday. And I could have had a yellow sports bottle, the food service employee just didn't know what the products were at the souvenir bottle stand... Price did jump to $29.99. Edit: Wow. Nasty scrape. Wonder how it happened -

It is actually pretty imposing in this location. -

It appears that will be the plan. Not sure what this will mean for the Blackout haunted house, not a lot of room to allow a line to exist only in the Midway. -

I'll have to get a better overview shot. Pandamonium's new paint looks good. The new POS terminals are also nice to have. Are the yellow sports bottles really only for dining pass members though? That really sucks. I'm a little surprised Screamin' Eagle is reduced capacity right now. -

I'd imagine it'll happen eventually. But Chop Six has been around for a couple years now. -

It'd be interesting to get it up for opening day. There's plenty of time. But yeah, that's just being greedy. They'll probably aim for May as usual. PS: SFGAM is aiming at the last weekend of May for Joker. -

That really is glowing praise considering the feelings you originally had about the park I would like to see a renewed focus on lighting all year though, and not just keep it to Fright Fest and Holiday In The Park. It really does make a huge difference, I'm sure everyone that has attended would agree. -

Maybe dont read much in to that. Chicago does typically have more colder days, more winter precipitation to contend with and higher winds. And it has already been said visits aren't out of the ordinary. But the park would be gorgeous. Your Batman might not be quite the impossible machine though. It is a bit shorter. Edit: The Tinseltone trio is a duo tonight. -

American Thunder was running great tonight too. The extra 10 degrees on the temp helps a bit. -

You'd never guess the AT side wasn't a planned area now. Red, white and blue trees and garland up on the AT side and white garland I don't remember being around Justice League. Also. Were those always square-shaped street lights? -

Aaaand now it's closed today. Obviously the park would have really liked to be open today, as it's rough to be closed for a whole weekend. Today wasn't supposed to be too bad, but now the expected temp at 2:00 is 32, and the expected temp at 9:00 is 21 with snow. Besides the temperature, having to keep the entire park, parking lots, and surrounding roads from getting icy will be hard. When I was in school, I remember how much joy I got from getting a recorded call from the principle saying that school was closed for snow. Now that I'm an adult, it's the complete opposite. Yeah I get it. If the temperature was going to be 40 is the forecast said then keeping paths clear and Ice free which shouldn't be that difficult but it's below freezing already. I was going to go today too. -

That's amazing. After the lights in the AT area that took care of the only real hole in the scenery. They're going all out here. -

When did the garland get added to the carousel building? Don't remember that. And know the Christmas music is new. -

It is too bad people out in Cali don't get to experience cold Batman. Side note. I was one of four people on the entire train for The Last Ride of the night on Sunday. Even in the cold, and the wet and essentially empty it still kicked ass. -

I'd rather see them put RMC trains on the Boss. On top of Iron Horse I-Box track. RMC. RMC Boss. Yes. I'd rather see that than Flyers on The Boss In practice the two are probably just as realistic as the other. Wow, the drizzle and rain cleared the crowd out -

I'm probably over simplifying things but to me it makes sense. I doubt that they are completely done with the rehabs for Boss, Eagle and half of Panda's carts. To me it would make more sense to get those done and then progressively reduce capacity on the other coasters as you progress through off season maintenance. Get a ride that's not open done and then move on and grab a train from an open one. Not start at reduced across the board from the start. I get that this is a learning process and I'm sure future seasons will be tweaked. In regards to Pandamonium its all comes down to efficiency. Its more efficient to pull multiple cars at once since you already have a crane and forklift at the ride rather than pull one car and drive everything down the hill just to drive it back up again in a week. The time that would be spent moving equipment and removing cars is far better spent rebuilding them. For the other coasters it comes down to how they are rebuilt. What is usually done is one car from each train is pulled then stripped down and rebuilt. Doing this makes it easier to keep track of parts such as where they came from, where they go, whats new, and whats old. Also it allows them to work on multiple trains at the same time. You basically reinforced what I said - that they could get the closed rides completed and then (and only then) start reducing capacity on the other rides. Not really. They work one car at a time and can do several types at a time. Delaying the start of work means working in a less than efficient way and shrinking the time frame you have to work the open coasters by over a month. -

Too bad Flyers can't run on The Boss without major changes. It would allow more to stay in rotation for HITP. Not that it'd be the primary reason for wanting them on The Boss.
