  1. Ninja's layout was designed for flat land though.
  2. For those old Arrow trains does ride quality just come down to new wheels making the guide and upstops ride closer to the track so there's less room for the train to rattle around? Or does the structure literally break in?
  3. Yes for a few rides. Fireball and Justice League have one. I want to say Skyscreamer's fast pass line is also a single rider line but i can't fully remember.
  4. Batman's station is still getting some work done isn't it? New yellow paint on the stairs and loading platform? Don't remember it looking like this a couple weeks ago.
  5. I noticed the new Flume paint. Just didn't mention it because I thought it might have been announced and I missed it
  6. Plenty of Disney and Universal rides go for the ancient aesthetic Maybe Batman: The Ride with the whole run down area behind the fence?
  7. Quite a bit better crowd today than yesterday. And I could have had a yellow sports bottle, the food service employee just didn't know what the products were at the souvenir bottle stand... Price did jump to $29.99. Edit: Wow. Nasty scrape. Wonder how it happened
  8. It is actually pretty imposing in this location.
  9. It appears that will be the plan. Not sure what this will mean for the Blackout haunted house, not a lot of room to allow a line to exist only in the Midway.
  10. I'll have to get a better overview shot. Pandamonium's new paint looks good. The new POS terminals are also nice to have. Are the yellow sports bottles really only for dining pass members though? That really sucks. I'm a little surprised Screamin' Eagle is reduced capacity right now.
  11. This marks the second new restaurant in as many years.
  12. I'd imagine it'll happen eventually. But Chop Six has been around for a couple years now.
  13. It'd be interesting to get it up for opening day. There's plenty of time. But yeah, that's just being greedy. They'll probably aim for May as usual. PS: SFGAM is aiming at the last weekend of May for Joker.
  14. That really is glowing praise considering the feelings you originally had about the park I would like to see a renewed focus on lighting all year though, and not just keep it to Fright Fest and Holiday In The Park. It really does make a huge difference, I'm sure everyone that has attended would agree.
  15. Maybe dont read much in to that. Chicago does typically have more colder days, more winter precipitation to contend with and higher winds. And it has already been said visits aren't out of the ordinary. But the park would be gorgeous. Your Batman might not be quite the impossible machine though. It is a bit shorter. Edit: The Tinseltone trio is a duo tonight.
  16. American Thunder was running great tonight too. The extra 10 degrees on the temp helps a bit.
  17. Did I see management giving someone in Great America gear a tour?
  18. You'd never guess the AT side wasn't a planned area now. Red, white and blue trees and garland up on the AT side and white garland I don't remember being around Justice League. Also. Were those always square-shaped street lights?
  19. Aaaand now it's closed today. Obviously the park would have really liked to be open today, as it's rough to be closed for a whole weekend. Today wasn't supposed to be too bad, but now the expected temp at 2:00 is 32, and the expected temp at 9:00 is 21 with snow. Besides the temperature, having to keep the entire park, parking lots, and surrounding roads from getting icy will be hard. When I was in school, I remember how much joy I got from getting a recorded call from the principle saying that school was closed for snow. Now that I'm an adult, it's the complete opposite. Yeah I get it. If the temperature was going to be 40 is the forecast said then keeping paths clear and Ice free which shouldn't be that difficult but it's below freezing already. I was going to go today too.
  20. I love it when a plan comes together.
  21. Just saw a Facebook event posted by the park. Apparently they're doing New Year's Eve fireworks.
  22. That's amazing. After the lights in the AT area that took care of the only real hole in the scenery. They're going all out here.
  23. When did the garland get added to the carousel building? Don't remember that. And know the Christmas music is new.
  24. Yeah looks like lights going up on every building. And a blue floodlight to light AT's support structure.
