  1. Yep. Maybe they will get more than two relocations in ten years. Maybe they can get Carowind's Vortex, the boomerang and some mediocre flats from some of the other parks. No but in all honesty any B&M or RMC or even those new Vekoma would be amazing here. Not to mention the new cedar fair connections with gerstlauer seem promising. Plus my friend sent me this Facebook post which was oddly amusing Edited for privacy/security
  2. I may cry the first time I see SteVen. (I hope this name sticks)
  3. If we see Larson loops at every cedar fair park I'll probably be happy because that means one at MiA but that's too much a Six Flags right now.
  4. If you look back at page one of this thread MiA has always announced no later than October so you never know maybe Trash Vengeance will be added. Btw i actually had to zoom to 200% on my browser to view that without quoting it.
  5. IMHO it probably wont be too bad, and even if it is it'll still be more re-ride-able than Mean Streak was.
  6. IMHO steel vengeance is growing on me because in a way it's almost like the vengeance of mean streak. I would like some nostalgic throwbacks around the place though about mean streak. On a side note I saw corkscrew had a collision this week I believe (per instagram) does anyone know about it?
  7. Hah another year another nothing from the park. They always announce late but this is depressing. Hey atleast it makes me happy knowing steel vengeance is just as close to me as MIA is.
  8. I'm in love. Next year will be awesome.
  9. Well good night on this joyous RMCmas eve. I can't wait to finally see our present being shown off. However it's kind of like when you would get a present as a kid and it required something else, like batteries you didn't have, or an extra part, because we still have quite awhile until we get the full enjoyment out of this giftwrap.
  10. In all honesty they might just be named like Maverick's. That doesn't have a big problem people just go to ride. Especially since it's from the same part of the park. Edit: as an after thought did they tease the names with Maverick's trains? Edit #2: Isn't this a frontier town expansion? What if one goes to the new mean streak and the others are for flat rides?
  11. Yeah it was also pointed out in the tack spotting thread that Downey had a troika ride refurbished at the same place as the boomerang. There still is some hope. Haha.
  12. I've been looking to see if ThunderHawk was and I can't find anything on it. It does seem strange and not a good sign for MiA. And on the Craig's cruisers things it's nice to see them expanding. Their carts are fun and I've gone a few times on wristband Wednesday.
  13. In the midst of all this random Groupon deals, I can proudly say I saw apiece added to New Mean Streak in person. As well as saw them lifting another track piece into place in the middle of the structure. Man working on a piece that I saw him add Another picture of worker dude The crane that was lifting the piece into place We got a pass for getting stuck on Valravn for about 15 minutes So yeah we also got stuck in the station on Valravn with our second ride of the day, we got to leave the station before they turned the lift back on and it honestly had some whiplash. There were maintenance in the station the rest of the day too. We used the pass for TTD because why not? Also maverick had some major problems. It was fown from 11 am until 8 pm and sadly we only rode it once. Oh and in the topic of values buying the all inclusive ticket combo is pretty nice. It comes with a day refill souvenir cup, FL+, All Day Dining and fun pix and it was only 20 dollars more than just buying a ticket and FL+. My friends got this while I just used my plat pass like normal.
  14. There is a new sign at CP, the picture is on instagram so I guess the best I want to do is link it. It says somewhere on the sign "from the right" which sounds oddly dueling to me, even though that seems pretty impossible as of right now. https://instagram.com/p/BXBafJGhctC/
  15. Yeah we avoid the park on the weekend because of is busyness but the park is only open until 10 on saturdays and at this point of the summer it's just getting dark out at 10. On weekdays though we've almost always been able to get away with walk-ons or everything. The key is to go the water park right when it opens and leave once the water park gets busy and boom the dry side is dead.
  16. Went to the park twice this week, once on Tuesday I believe and rode everything and then once again earlier today (Saturday) to get a few rides in. Didn't realize how busy the park would be today but none the less even with a half full over flow lot it still was enjoyable. We got there late, around 6, because we spent the day touring around Muskegon, and we basically only did three things at the park, ride the train a lot, ride Thunderhawk front seat (Full queue), and ride the best night experience I can think of Shivering Timbers front seat in the dark (Hour wait with only half the switchbacks). Totally worth it though. If you ever have some time to kill and don't mind skipping around the crowds, go to MiA on a Saturday just for a night ride on timbers. It's so amazing, especially front seat. Neonnn Nothing interesting happened on the trip earlier in the week just a normal time at the park for me. I mean re-rides and finding friends that work there is fun, but not as interesting as the night ride.
  17. There is another poster with a different picture and that makes me wonder if maybe They're coming has to do with the trains and each poster belongs to a train and it's name, especially since all of Maverick's trains are named and they're right next to each other. Just a thought.
  18. Shivering Timbers but only if they kept up with the track. As that seems not too likely I'd have to say Maverick. Probably one of the most well rounded coasters out there except for the lack of height to the first drop is still freaking crazy. The elements are perfect and it's pure insanity from basically the first launch.
  19. ^^I got my Plat Pass at MiA last year, recieved a new one at Canada's Wonderland and still was able to renew it at Cedar Point.
  20. On the gatekeeper thing if your complaining about a B&M bounce or rattle or whatever stupid thing people are on their high horse about now, you clearly are way too spoiled by smooth rides. Ride enough woodies and marathon enough SLCs and you won't even notice it! (I've ridden Thunderhawk at MiA over 40 times in a four day period) But seriously it does nothing to make the ride unrideable. Period. On another note I went to the park right before I got my wisdom teeth out (like two or three weeks ago) and had an awesome time. Love every ride in this park and just looking at the new Mean Streak gives me goosebumps. Also I got to ride Raptor at night with lightning in the horizon and that was one of the best experiences ever. Edit: Nearly forgot this picture of Raptor before said ride that looks like there is a UFO. If someone knows what it could be a reflection from feel free to say. Freakyyyy
  21. ^ It does and it also has some logistical issues that might make it the most annoying ride for the employee's because the entrance is in a part of the park that is accessible before the water park opens.
  22. ^Nice pictures I wish I took more. Also Thunderhawk made the Detroit Free Press for "Leaving riders stranded". www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/2017/05/30/thunderhawk-michigan-adventure-riders-stuck/353663001/
  23. Went to the park today and it was pretty nice, no lines, no temperature in the water (the water park was freezing) and mildly disappointing underemployment. My favorite coaster thunder hawk sadly called a 37 and stayed down all day (37 is broken with riders on board for y'all that don't know.) I only heard of the log ride having issues too though. The funnel of fear seems like it may be closed until the splash pad opens. A bunch of slides were closed too. Timbers feels weird without the trick tracks and honestly is super smooth until the last like 4 or 5 hills where the trains shuffle, if GCI retracks that this coaster might be my number one overall again. I got about 6 rides before the shuffling became too much for me. There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes too. You can see it from the top of timbers and on the train a little. I can't explain it too much but if anyone goes look by the two drainage lakes and there were a bunch of rocks. Also the new train is M.I.A. (Haha see what I did there?). But in all seriousness I love this park because it's so much more laid back than Cedar Point and IMO easier to have a good day. (You can have a better day at Cedar Point if you do it right though). Anyway I missed the park a lot in the offseason but it really needs some love, let's pray for this park's future because it needs something big! Edit: I nearly forgot this picture too (with a Snapchat filter as proof that it really is at Michigan's Adventure.) They are too lazy to put Michigan's Adventure on the all season cups!
  24. To the post above possibly, but after looking at some more of the structure the dueling doesn't seem possible at certain points. And on the topic of weather, there was a 20% chance of rain at 2 and at 9 when we left in the morning. It rained for 45 minutes at 2:30 and rained the rest of the day starting at 5. Normally I'm a trooper in the rain but I was freezing cold without the rain, let alone once it came because the temperature barely reached 54. As far as I know Gemini never opened, however they were running one train on Gatekeeper, Raptor, Bluestreak and Millenium force (even maverick was up but with more than one train) in the rain and light wind. We rode Gatekeeper and Raptor and both felt like we were getting pelted with rocks so we decided against Millenium in the rain too. Also we rode TTD before it went down for the day, and Valravan was running on and off in the rain. I actually had quite a bit of fun even though it rained a lot, it was so nice to ride again since this was my first trip of the season and I can't wait to go later this summer when the weather will be better hopefully.
