The 2019 coaster WILL NOT be called ZIZ. Please stop predicting that. It won't happen. This is a new, HUGE, Canadian themed area. Perhaps they will build a coaster named ZIZ to match Behemoth and Leviathan, in the future, but, the 2019 coaster will not be named ZIZ. -

It's been awhile since my last post, but I have been enjoying your conversations about the new coaster. I am now ready to let you all know that your predictions are wrong. (IMO) The original plans for the Canadian themed area, which were made before 1980, were to include a train, like at Cedar Fair. The train will pick up passengers from the old SkyRider area, then go through the waterpark and over the wave pool and around the lazy river, to pick up more passengers. Then it will go up a 1000ft lift hill. The old animatronics from Ontario Place will be placed at the top of the lift hill. The train will then drop straight down into and out of, the tunnel and head over to Wonder Mountain, where it will enter the mountain. The train will go through Gaurdian, and Thunder Run and will come out the top of the mountain to pick up more passengers from the new Polar Vortex Station on top of the mountain. The train will make one more drop off of the mountain and return to the front gate to let people off. One more thing they haven't been able to figure out yet, is when the mountain rotates, the tunnels will not be lined up. They are thinking of not using this plan because of this issue. Too bad. I guess we will just get a boring coaster instead. -

I have something to say to you all. I have been holding this in, but I feel now is the time to let it out. Please let me know if you agree with me. Here comes my thought . . . when we are riding Vortex next year, and we are going around the part of the track that circles around the new coaster, how many of you agree with me when I say this . . .I don't think that we will be able to see the drop while circling the new coaster. The angle our necks would have to be at makes it impossible, in my opinion. Please take a couple of minutes to think about this and try to visualize riding Vortex and trying to angle up your neck and head to look straight up. I just don't think it will be possible to see it at all. Please let me know your thoughts. -

They should add a plaque at the dragon and boar, in his honour, that would be cool. R.I.P. -

sure sure . .we'll talk about this in a year, but over 17 years later, the TTC is still waiting for the Sheppard line to get 'busy'. Time will tell. I just don't understand why they didn't put a station closer to Vaughn Mills and Wonderland. It just doesn't make sense. For people who don't have cars, fine it's great, but for as far as the people living in downtown Toronto, a quick 15 minute drive to Vaughan Mills would turn into a 1-2 hour trip by subway. Even the Go bus from Union station will be quicker to Canada's Wonderland. -

That is exactly what they said about the Sheppard line. Bessarion station is the deepest and least used station on the entire TTC system. Black Creek station and Downsview station will be dead, the majority of the time. People who live in downtown Toronto are not going to take transit all the way to Vaughan, just to shop, or go to Black Creek Pioneer Village, or go to an empty military base. They really needed to extend it to Canada's Wonderland to make the line worthwhile. At least it would have been somewhat busy in the summer. -

It takes less than half an hour by GO bus. Waste of money, since it doesn't really go anywhere, just like the Sheppard line, the least used line on the entire system. -

CedarFair1, I am going to debunk that "mystery machine" with the cover on it. That was a Halloween Haunt prop. It is a very large cat with red eyes. -

Ryan, the next time you come to Wonderland, be sure to check the name of our arrow coaster. It used to be called Dragon Fyre, It is now Dragon Fire. There is a coaster at Marineland, in Niagara Falls, called Dragon Mountain. Just some friendly info for ya . .xx Glad you had a nice time in Canada. -

That "opening in the fence" has always been there, however it used to be an exit for when they used to have concert nights. It looks like they are refurbishing Kingswood, not removing it. That's why the new sign says Kingswood events entrance. They will need a separate entrance for hotel guests who are not actually going in the park. If there is a separate entrance now and replacing the seats, perhaps we will be getting concerts again next year. That would be amazing! -

Can anyone please tell me how to get a zillion points on Wonder Mountain Guardian. The most I seem to be able to get is around 250,00. Thanks. -

Edgeboy, there has never been a year-round haunted house open to the public. However, most of Wonderland's Halloween Haunt mazes are indeed set up, in tents and in the mountain, but these have never been open to the public during the regular season. I don't known where you heard that. It sounds like the rumour people used to say back in the 80's, when the mountain use to rotate at 12 noon everyday. -

Counter clock-wise is my big 'secret' direction. Forget about Guardian . .stand in line for blurry screens and guns that don't work .. .skip it. -

'In my opinion', once a wooden coaster is rmc'd . . .it can no longer be classified as a wooden coaster because of the steel elements. It will only be in the 'rmc'd' classification. So Wonderland would only have 2 wooden coasters and 1 rmc'd coaster, and 'in my opinion' that's just not going to happen. They don't need to modify Minebuster or Beast. They are still GREAT wooden coasters and they should stay classified as wooden coasters . . . 'in my opinion'. -

OMG! Minebuster is never going to be rmc'd . . .give it a rest guys . . . it's simply not tall enough. You need a certain amount of speed to get through special elements. -

Been awhile since I've been on here, but Gumbo, I do not want to hear in your trip report that you went on Guardian. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT go on Guardian if you are only going to Canada's Wonderland for one day. The screens are blurry, you might get a gun that doesn't work. I went once the first season, was not impressed, my BF and I got a lot of negative responses from our "negative" posts, however, look back at some of the other "negative" reviews of this ride and ask yourself, do I really want to stand in, usually a 30-60 min line for a ride like this. Also, when they first announced this ride they told us the scenes would change from time to time. This has never been the case, but please don't get me going again. Go to Florida and ride Transformers at Universal Orlando. That is what Guardian could have been like, or better still take an hour and a half trip to Niagara Falls while you are here and go to the Great Canadian Midway on Clifton Hill. They have a 4D theatre ride that was built by the same company that built Guardian, but it's sooooo much better than Guardian, and I have to include this . . . in my opinion. You and your family, have fun in Canada, Gumbo. -

It looks like it is pretty far away from the Mini-golf booth. Are we sure that the Mini-golf is leaving? If it is more over behind Shockwave, then perhaps it is Wonder Tour that is leaving or being re-routed. The entrance could be on the north side of The Fly. There would be space for a new plaza over there. -

That's a really strange picture. The Fly can't be on both sides of that view with Vortex and the mountain in the middle. -

You shouldn't be surprised John, as none of Wonderland's rides have ever really been 'themed'. Paint it brown and green and we can pretend it looks like a tree. xx Do we know yet, where in the park this is going to be?
