What entry plaza? Never mind, i'm not in the mood to debate this. Just tell me one thing. What theming is on Behemoth? -

Without checking rcdb, i presume the ys drop is higher. This would mean more speed and a longer pullout. It would require a deeper tunnel if you started pullout after entering it. If the tunnel is deeper than 60’ it would be considered a subway and be subject to service cuts, short turns, broken air conditioning and “tunnel fuzz”. Hope that helps. I wasn't suggesting tunnel go deeper - rather start above ground mid-drop ala Sheikra Wow! That's looks a lot better than a block of concrete eh? But then again, Canada's Wonderland has never had a lot of theming anywhere. -
Congratulations Darien Lake and Six Flags. Even with only 3 mazes, the atmosphere looks amazing and I have to admit, to me and IMO the scenery looks BETTER than Halloween Haunt at Canada's Wonderland, and that is a huge compliment to Darien Lake. Wonderland even dropped the all-you-can-eat Mortal Meal Deal this year. Very disappointing as my group always enjoyed that. Fright Fest will be getting better and better every year from now on. You have received 30 years of Fright Fest experience and it definitely shows. Fright Fest Darien Lake looks amazing. I now wish I had a passport as I would be down there this weekend if I could. I will for sure be at Six Flags Fright Fest Darien Lake next year. That actually sounds awesome to say now. Congratulations again! I hope you all have fun at your new Haunt event.

I am starting to get a bit concerned about the placement of Yukon Striker. It is soooo quiet around that area right now. I get it, with the construction going on, but when the water park is closed, the only use for the path that goes from Minebuster over to Timberwolf Falls is going to be for Yukon Striker. Even when SkyRider was still there, that path is pretty much unused when Splash Works is not open, and when Timberwolf Falls and White Water Canyon are closed too, that part of the park is actually very dead. I think they really need to add a few more flat rides back there. Just adding more shops is not going to increase traffic by that much. That path will be used mainly for Yukon Striker riders when the water park is not open. I'm just not sure if people heading to Yukon Striker will be stopping at any new shops. The new shop near White Water Canyon was empty every time I went in there. -

yes: so they have most of the lift hill up. Looking at the pictures, it goes a bit higher before leveling off, turning a corner and dropping. As it comes together, we realize, it is going to be huge and take over the back of the park. The first photo is from the other side of vortex. It will sprawl over lake vortex, into the trees and back for the final bunny hill and helix over the Splashworks pathway after it's MCBR. I think it will give a nice adrenaline rush before hitting the final brakes and i like how it shouts out to it's retired cousin skyrider with the loop and final 90 degree banked helix. Maybe a nice lateral klunk for old times sake? (hope not) It can easily be seen from Behemoth's stairs. It should be a similar height to Windseeker. (if i were keen i could look it up, but i am sure someone on the internet will correct me). I am not a big fan of heights, and tend to get a bit freaked out when the bungee ride passes us on the way up. i can only imagine having the drop coaster go by will only add to this. It can also be seen from Leviathan's station. You can see it towering beside Wonder Mountain. This will definitely change the look of the whole park. It is going to be awesome. I'm not nit-picking. Just a friendly assist. Yukon Striker will be 232ft, above water level, plus another 13ft deeper into the tunnel, for a total of 245ft. Windseeker is 301ft, Behemoth and Drop Tower are 230ft, and Leviathan is 320ft. Yokon Striker will be the 5th ride/coaster over 200 feet at Canada's Wonderland! . .pretty awesome. -
That one prop actually looks better than many of the props at Wonderland. Very cool. Darien Lake has just received over 30 years experience from Fright Fest. When Cedar Fair took over Canada's Wonderland, we received over 40 years experience from Halloween Haunt. Our Halloween events have been awesome ever since and Darien Lake's Halloween events will always be very awesome too now. Congratulations! I am going to Six Flags Darien Lake Fright Fest next year for sure. It still seems very strange just writing that. I just can't wait!

Wonderland has never had a construction cam on any their construction projects. -

Couldn't they have installed the wheel heaters this year to test Leviathan during the winter this year? -
Fun Spot, near Orlando, is not a theme park. I would call it a small permanent amusement park, but not a theme park. I have been to Fun Spot and the go-karts were amazing, but only because the track was multi-level. Was the track long? No. Have I been on much longer outdoor tracks in Canada? Yes. Would Darien Lake benefit from a multi-level go-kart track? No question, absolutely.
-
Has Six Flags ever built a multi-level go-kart track at any of their other parks yet? I mean, operated correctly and with a worthwhile track, go-karts can make a ton of "extra" money for theme parks and priced correctly, can actually pay for their own operations. Just something that I bet is one of Six Flags' options. They are building a tower that will now compete with MarineLand, why not build a multi-level go-kart track and start competing with Clifton Hill.

It will take years, but 5 years from now, that entire area could be re-developed. Starting from Motocoaster and working around to Viper. You could easily fit in 5 new flats in there, and maybe even another boardwalk area too, but for next year, Motocoaster and SkyScreamer are going to look pretty lonely out there. I do agree that area of the park will be pretty busy next year. Good job Six Flags. They are going to transform Darien Lake this time around. I really hope they bring back the Looney Tunes characters. I love Foghorn Leghorn! The opportunity for merchandise sales cannot be overlooked. For sure, there will be SkyScreamer merch in the "former" MotoCoaster store. Also, a pin trading program would be awesome! Six Flags sold a lot of Looney Tunes pins when they owned DL, and I wonder if they are going to bring back the Breakfast with Bugs program for families?

One question, why would they use the same name as Marineland's SkyScreamer? http://www.marinelandcanada.com/attractions/skyscreamer/ Six Flags Darien Lake's new SkyScreamer tower must have to be over 320 feet tall as Marineland's SkyScreamer is 320 feet tall and 450 feet high. This could also be higher than Canada's Wonderland's Windseeker which is 301 feet tall.

As previously incorrectly stated before, I am pleased that there will be 9 mazes at Halloween Haunt. (as usual) https://www.canadaswonderland.com/play/haunt/attractions -
There are a lot of full-season campers at Darien Lake who have campfires every night. There is no way that campers are going to want to have to walk all the way over to the amphitheatre to get to the park and then have to walk all the way over to Darien Square and then all the way back around to the campground. It wouldn't work like that. Also, the General Store has never officially been open to the public. Non-campers don't need to buy wood and camping supplies. The full-season campers would not want a lot of non-campers in that store or in that area, tbh. Campers will be happy that area is going to be handed back to campers only. I’m going to totally refute your statement. I have never camped at DL, but go to the park almost every week. You don’t know just how many times I went to the general store to buy something. Often, I don’t buy food at the park and instead bring a portable propane camp stove and have hot dogs or burgers in a picnic shelter out in the parking lot. There have been countless times I have forgotten a propane tank, hot dog/ burger buns, a lighter, etc. The general store is useful for non campers as well, and allowing non-campers to utilize it is another source of revenue for them. I don’t see why they would want to take that away. So, correct me if I am wrong. You actually walked through the park with a propane tank and a lighter? Maybe that is another reason security is now required at the campers entrance.

Hmmmm .. . .not as customized for Wonderland as we thought, eh? If you have been on Valravn, then you have been on Yukon Striker. It is nice to think that they added the camel back and final spiral turn as a tribute to SkyRider, but Valravn has a camel back too, in the exact same spot as Yukon Striker.
