1. Yeah, tickets won't be needed for the fast lane queue as Wonderland's queues are separated.
2. If it was up to me, I would knock of the 3 B&M's on your afternoon/evening and free up your full day. I also have to mention that it will be cheaper for you to buy a season pass rather than 2 day passes. Also, remember the prices listed on the website are Canadian dollars, with the conversion rate it's dirt cheap. So a season pass will save them even more money, correct? Even if they are only going for 2 days.

4. Bring your bank account with you to Clifton Hill, oh wait, you are American. Canadians don't go to Clifton Hill anymore. The prices for everything are crazy now.
5. That's a good way to put it. The post brake run also looks like it provides a nice visual for people walking by. Cedar Fair seems to have a good understanding of displaying their new roller coasters within the surrounding area. We were already planning our first trip to CW next year as one of our last blasts before making a little Douchebag Jr. The timing of this new addition was perfect and I'm really looking forward to it. You won't hear any complaints about a record breaking coaster from me. We're looking forward to enjoying all three of CW's B&M giants. This will be our first trip outside of Merika. You will enjoy your trip, however, if you want to go on all 3 of our B&M's then I highly recommend that you visit Wonderland for more than 1 day as a big chunk of your day will be waiting in line for these coasters.
6. The original idea of needing to walk through that shop to get to MotoCoaster was that MotoCoaster and the shop was themed to Orange County Choppers. They actually had two choppers on display in the shop built by OCC that you could sit on and take pictures. They had OCC MotoCoaster merch to buy. There is no reason to force people to go through that shop anymore, it is mostly clothing for sale. The path you refer to, and the queue line for MotoCoaster is a part of the old pool deck and indeed runs between MotoCoaster and Beaver Brother's. There is also a short path that circles an American flag pole, and that path could be extended to the old pool deck as well. The problem with that idea and with your idea of building a path behind Boomerang is that those paths would bypass any security gates into the campground. This is an interesting problem that SixFlags now has to deal with as there has not been security for that part of the park for a long time now. It will be interesting to see how SixFlags deals with this issue.
7. What do you all think of my idea? I they should move MotoCoaster closer to Tantrum and re-open the pool for the campers. That way, there wouldn't be an issue because that pool was always just for the campers, and the non-campers wouldn't even need to go to that area. I think they should also move Fascination back in the campers area. Campers liked to play fascination late at night after a nice day at the park before heading back to camp. What do you all think?
8. Good callout. Yeah, it's a 2019 addition. I just mentioned it as a rebuttal to those saying the climate prevented it. If Wonderland right across the lake can do it, Darien Lake can too. The real question was about the coasters - doesn't Wonderland run a holiday event but without the coasters? For me if SFNE wasn't running the coasters the event would have been a one and done sort of thing.....but we went four times....anybody can throw up decorations and hold a holiday event Seriously man? You QUOTED my post that said it started in 2019!!! Think before you post. Sheesh. um, read my name please, um, man. I love Darien Lake.
9. Friendly reminder that the average high/low temperatures are 37° /25°(f) on December 1st in Darien Center and 32° /20° (f) on closing day. It's about 1 degree colder on average at Wonderland. It's cold, but you don't live at the north pole. If it were 30 to 40 degrees (again, f) below the average like in your scenario then the park would close that day. I'd be wearing shorts in December if it was only 0 C. Our skating rinks stay open well into the -20's C, and that will be Wonderland's Winterfest. A really big skating rink, a few shops open, a few holiday shows, and a few rides, that's it, no coasters. To stay on topic, I love Darien Lake.
10. Good callout. Yeah, it's a 2019 addition. I just mentioned it as a rebuttal to those saying the climate prevented it. If Wonderland right across the lake can do it, Darien Lake can too. The holiday event has not started yet at Canadas Wonderland. Actually, we thought it wouldn't be possible here at Wonderland, but it will be a bit toned down from warmer parks. Skating rink, shops, shows, but only a few rides and maybe only the coasters inside our mountain. When you get into the -20's C, I just don't think they would risk cracking anything on a ride.
11. Wonderland is not doing a Christmas/Holiday thing this year, so I bet Six Flags will put of doing it at Darien Lake until next year. That will give them time to install wheel heaters . .
12. The park is always busy now, Tuesday or not. Went last Tuesday and got on 12 rides all day.
13. What a beautiful coaster. This is going to change Wonderland (for the better). Canada's Wonderland is a true coaster park now. Good job, Wonderland, the construction crews, and everyone running this site. I'm not sure if I will ever ride it, but this coaster is awesome! It is the first coaster that you will be able to see from anywhere in the park. Even non-riders will enjoy just looking at this amazing coaster.
14. If they were to do an all Batman/Gotham City area, then let's hope for a new area and not make it look cheesy with bumper cars and go-karts. How about a new "Batman" coaster with a few Batman/Joker/Riddler flats. with a Gotham city-themed restaurant.
15. Can I just ask why everyone thinks this coaster is going to be shorter or as tall as Behemoth/Drop Tower? What is the current tallest drop coaster? Don't you think they would go for a record? I don't think you could even see it from hwy400 if it was only 230 feet and it would appear to be shorter than the mountain. I want to answer this post myself. Valravn is 223 high and drop is 214. So anything taller than this would be a world record. I just wasn't aware that dive coaster are relatively short. I still don't think you will be able to see it from hwy400.
16. Thanks again, Steve. I am looking forward to more Six Flags touches next year.
17. New this year for Ignite the Night was the strobe light upstage center that they used during the Thunder sequence. Otherwise everything is the same from last year. They do update the lasers once every couple years - I know the multi-colored laser they had last year was being very fitty, so I wouldn’t be surprised if that one was replaced this year. (If anyone cares, last year they added 6 new LED fixtures that they use during the preshow and now during the show since they are on moving heads and can rotate unlike the older Parcans they used to use) Thanks Steve. I knew it looked better than the 2016 show.
18. SkyRider was still in operation, but it had a lot of rust on it. Does anyone know for sure that the Batman coaster was scrapped?
19. I know the Batman coaster was removed from the boneyard, but I wonder how much money and effort it would be to restore it. Restorations of old coasters are possible as SkyRider from Canada's Wonderland was removed, restored and moved to Italy, where it is once again in operation. Could Six Flags be restoring the Batman coaster for Darien Lake? Obviously they wanted that coaster at Darien Lake sometime when they owned it before, and just recently it was moved from the boneyard. I'm just wondering, that's all. I mean, if I owned a restorable roller coaster, I think I would restore it and put it back into operation. Does this make sense to any of you?
20. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0KnLTmmwMY Ignite the Night looks amazing this year! Did Six Flags add some lasers? When I saw ITN in 2016, it did not look like this. Absolutely amazing! I also enjoy the tribute to Canada much better as it doesn't focus only on hockey. I also found this. The public relations rep at the end, mentions capital improvements and new attractions in the future. Perhaps it is a different Six Flags this time. I, as a Canadian Darien Lake lover, am getting very excited.
21. Looking at the historical aerial imagery on Google Earth, you can see that not too much of the Salt Water Circus structure exists to this day. The only thing I can see that has stayed the same since its removal in late 2011 is the chemical building which was located at the back of the venue. The pools, tent, and other facilities relating to the Salt Water Circus have seen been removed to make way for Dinosaurs Alive in 2012. And thank you to you too, John Lloyd. Don't worry about the tent, but look closely at the path and follow it as it goes under the tent and around to the other side. It looks like the original exit path may still be there too. The next time I am at the park, I am going to look for it. Clearly, it looks like the original path is still there as well as the original pool, where we can now see dinosaurs instead of dolphins and sea lions. What will we be seeing in that area next? Thanks for the old pic.

Maybe they should have left the tent up. The dinosaurs probably would have lasted a lot longer. Thanks you for the old pic.
23. Super interesting - looking at this old postcard from BlogTo, I was shocked how much of the pathways were the same. I also forgot how big the space was I know it's a naive dream but a great true family ride like a proper log flume would be great back there. The Charlie Brown themed log flume would be amazing. I marathoned that with my then three year old a few years back and he was in heaven. Speaking of which, Dinosaurs Alive will be missed. Kids love dinos and it always a great activity on days when the park was jammed (e.g. firework nights). The upkeep most have been bad and the skins are starting to age. I get why they are aren't renewing the contracts but still we always enjoyed going. Thank you Lord Denning. I don't know why it took me this long, but after six years this has finally confirmed what I thought. Most, if not all of the original Salt Water Circus structure/buildings/and path, remain intact. Yes, it is a massive area, however a bit of the area has been use by some of the rides in Planet Snoopy and the path has been extended over to the swans. A huge Planet Snoopy expansion could be put in there or perhaps, Camp Snoopy would be better. Look how busy it is! Everybody loved Hanna-Barbera Land, Thanks for the old pic.
