Valleyfair (VF) Discussion Thread

What kind of a new thrill ride could go here? Would a Max Air fit in here 150 feet I think there's enough space to put one there maybe a smaller one or a ride like Spin Cycle at Silverwood Theme Park could fit in there those are fun rides. Valleyfair needs to fill in these open areas with new rides. A new thrill ride location were the old tilt a whirl use to sit dead grass. -

Would this be a perfect spot for a Laron Flyers in 2016? What other ride could fit in there? The Midway Stage area. Adding a Larson Flyers in the Midway Stage area or another ride? -

Here's the spot I was talking about reconnecting the walk way under the Steel Venom twist take out the fence and move the walk way to the left. Relocate the walk way and move it to the left of the Steel Venom twist take out the fence. -

Anyone who rides Renegade look down in the employee parking lot on the left side there's a big pile of dirt a yellow bull dozer was on it yesterday. Like garyman6 I've been coming to the park for many years this is the first season I've seen Excalibur with one train on the track. Look what Dorney Park did with Hercules. They retired Hercules for a new B&M floorless coaster: Hydra The Revenge. Valleyfair can do the same thing with Excalibur for a new B&M inverted coaster. And with the new inverted coaster for the back of the park they should add some new rest rooms maybe a air condition sit down resturant for the back of the park. Excalibur would be one spot for the inverted but sometimes I think that spot might be for the water park expansion. I said this before another spot for a inverted coaster would to remove the amphitheater relocate the enterprise with new paint update the que line maybe over by corkscrew. Make the walk way turn all the way to the left and have it go out into the parking lot taking out a few spaces and take out the fence were the flags are reconnect it under the Steel Venom twist remove the current walk way flatten out that whole space were the chaos, enterprise and amphitheater sits could be a spot for the inverted coaster wouldn't be a problem for flooding and were the scrambler sits the area called Midway Stage is add a Larson Flyers perfect spot for one. Any thoughts expanding the walk way to the left of the Wild Thing turn around? Maybe raise it up some for flooding? Were the yellow stripes are in the parking lot expand a new walk way around the Wild Thing turn around any thoughts? -

RCJunkie I drove back to the park took a photo then left the bull dozer isn't there now but there was a construction guy standing there in the heavy rain left him out of the photo. I'm going back on Wednesday will be 86 warm. With the Orange cones by the toll lanes what kind if activity is this? First time I've seen this. That construction just started. Activity near the toll lanes at Valleyfair. -

To the left of the brake run is wear the second train normally sits I'm going back on Wednesday I'll try and get a better photo and this is unusual and I think this is the first season with out the second train on the track? I'm also going to try and get a photo on whats going on in the parking lot near the toll lanes. If this is true about the last year for Excalibur closing would we see a announcement soon like Carowinds with Thunder Road closing in late July? VF15: Are you talking about that object between the tree and wood? Would those be the que lights for Excalibur? -

That's what I'm thinking that there going to take out the old toll booths curve the entrance more to the left add a new toll booth entrance like at Carowinds for 2016. I'm wondering if this is the start of the expansion for Valleyfair? -

One spot in front of the park they could improve on is removing the amphitheater relocate the Enterprise maybe over by Corkscrew and move the walk way all the way to the left of the Wild Thing turn around expand the walk way out in the parking lot and recconect it under the Steel Venom twist and level or flatten that whole space and you could put a B&M inverted with a 170 foot lift hill make it go over the clock tower front plaza area and have the track go down were the dinasours alive sits add a loop at the first drop and have a cobra roll with a strong helix at the end and have the brake run go behind the depot refreshments. Use that land were the chaos use to sit and relocate the Enterprise maybe some new paint on the Enperprise and were the scrambler use to sit add a Larson Flyers perfect spot for one. Were the amphitheater sits would be a perfect spot for a new roller coaster that's how I would develope the front of the park. This is a B&M coaster I would like to see in front of the park. (1) B&M inverted coaster possibly launch first of its kind? (2) B&M floorless be happy if we got one of those 150 foot lift. (3) B&M flyer first of its kind launch? (4) B&M dive machine 200 feet. (5) B&M wing coaster. There's plenty of space we're the amphitheater sits for a new roller coaster and that part of the park shouldn't be a problem for flooding. Taking out Excalibur could be a spot for the water park expansion. Focus on the front of the park for a new roller coaster. -

I was wondering about this. Did Carowinds invest in Fury 325 did they pay for the entire coaster and the remodel of the front plaza or did they get help from Cedar Fair? If they did get funding help from Cedar Fair couldn't they do the same thing with Valleyfair? Also why are there never any rumors about Valleyfair on screamscape? Maybe a first of its kind a B&M launch flying coaster would that work something unique and different from other parks. Also a B&M launch inverted? Could Valleyfair have a Nemesis sized inverted like at Alton Towers? -

More ideas for a B&M inverted. I like to be creative when I think of these lol. How about removing the Valleyfair mid way games and you could put B&M inverted station there and have the lift hill 170 feet which I would like to see a tall and the lift go to the left of the final High Roller turn around and make the lift hill go to the left of High Roller station and go on the flood dike which you could put footers there right by High Roller and make the track come back around to the back of the employee area also could put a cobra roll in the old pinic cove and have the brake run go behind the North Woods Grill and behind Mad Mouse were the first aid station is does anyone play the VF midway games anymore they could remove them? Front of the park something else I thought of move the walk way starting by rest rooms to the left make it curve all the way around the Wild Thing turn around and have it come out under the Steel Venom twist and like VF15 said relocate Enterprise some were else in the park maybe over by Corkscrew and remove the amphitheater flatten out that whole land space and use that land were the chaos use to sit for a new roller coaster. B&M wing, dive, floorless, or flyer would look nice in that spot and have the lift hill go over the front entrance plaza area and the brake run go behind depot refreshments. This hasn't been asked yet how long is the length of the track and the ride time would be? Looking at 3,500 feet of track? -

VF15: I think you miss read something. I said were the scrambler sits add a Larson Flyers ride and then over by the Wild Thing were the tilt a whirl use to sit that's were I would put a max air over there not were the scrambler spot is. -

Like I said I was at the park this morning in the rain. We're the scrambler use to sit add a Larson Flyers and over by the Wild Thing que line were the tilt a whirl invest in those open areas for thrill rides I would add a max air 150 feet plenty of space maybe add those two new rides for 2016 then B&M inverted coaster for 2017. -

Wild Thing cost $9.5 million in 1996. How hard is it for Valleyfair to invest in a new B&M inverted coaster? How much do the Batman The Ride costs at Six Flags? I would be happy if we got a clone like that because those are my favorite inverted coasters. Holiday World invested in Thunderbird $22 million and Dollywood got Wild Eagle I'm really hoping VF is next. There isn't a B&M that far north close one is at Worlds of Fun. I can say once we get our first B&M coaster out of the way anything else that Valleyfair does or gets I would be fine with. How far does Valleyfair own for land down by the river were the toll booths to the right by housing is how far back? -

Does anyone know why they retired the Orient Express at Workds of Fun? They replaced it for the Spinnig Dragons. So that doesn't meen Valleyfair couldn't do the same with Excalibur replace that with B&M inverted coaster. Corkscrew is more popular then Excalibur. On a busy Saturday sometimes the line is all the way at the end of the walk way I haven't once seen it like that with Excalibur. Would Cedar Fair do a deal with Valleyfair and Cedar Point for both parks having two B&M dive machines like they did with Morgan Wild Thing and Steel Force? -

Valleyfair owns the land to the left of Renegade and it goes further back but they haven't develope it yet because it's flood plain unless they build flood walls but I don't think that will work and they also own the land to the right of Renegade it's the employee parking lot which I'm thinking there moving that over by the housing area we're that bull dozer use to sit maybe for next year and down in the employee parking lot anyone who rides Renegade notice big piles of dirt? By the first Rebegade turn around after the lift the land to the left around the s turns they have plenty of space for a B&M inverted coaster. My ideas location for three new B&M coasters and the next ten years at Valleyfair for expansion. (1) Back of the park to the left of Renegade around the s turns and could go over Thunder Canyon prime land back in the woods for a inverted coaster would look cool at night back there. Retire Excalibur for future water park expansion. (2) Remove the amphitheater relocate the Enterprise maybe over by Corkscrew re do the walk way make it go more to the left towards the parking lot and flatten out the land use that for a second B&M dive coaster could fit in that space 200 feet. We're the scrambler use to sit add a Larson Flyers nothing but flags and benches. (3) Were the dinasours alive sits add a third B&M wing coaster and have it go down in the old pinic cove. With the contract up next season I have a feeling that's the spot for a new thrill ride or roller coaster. Is Valleyfair going to renew the contract for next year? (4) Over by Wild Thing que line add a giant max air thrill ride fill that land space were the tilt a whirl use to sit 150 feet that doesn't take much space. I'm like Mr Frazier he told me he likes playing Roller Coaster Tycoon lol that's how I would develope Valleyfair over the next ten years anyone like the ideas? -

Does anyone know why you can't ride single on the Ferris Wheel or unless they changed that along with the Wheel of Fortune? Other parks have Wheel of Fortune similar rides were you can ride single. -

How does one recognize Mr Frazier? I guess if you visit the park regularly and if he knows you sees you a lot at the park that's one way. Or if you see him walking around the park just walk up say hi nice to talk to. -

RCJunkie said "I don't think Ripcords space would be big enough to handle the queue and ride." Are you talking about moving the Ferris wheel up by were Rip Cord sits? Shouldn't take that much space and do they need a big que line for the Ferris Wheel the line is never long plus you can't ride single on the Ferris Wheel? I kind of like the idea putting the Ferris Wheel by Rip Cord or to the right of Steel Venom maybe raise the parking lot to make room for the Feeris Wheel or other locations you could move the Ferris Wheel under the Wild Thing turn around or were the old chaos use to sit and how about re tireing the old Ferris Wheel maybe build a bigger one put it under the Wild Thing turn around with new led lights. And we're the Ferris Wheel sits maybe add a giant max air ride 150 feet or put a max air ride by the Wild Thing in that open land space were the old tilt a whirl use to sit doesn't take up that much space. -

I took the survey. The part of the survey were it said something about feedback with five or less words I said to add a new B&M inverted coaster for 2016 or 2017. I hope everyone who takes the survey will tell Valleyfair to add a new B&M inverted for either in 2016 or 2017 for sure. -

I walked around the park there's a lot of school busses and kids here this morning. Wild Thing que was starting to get full Extreme Swing already had a full line at 10am along with Steel Venom I left the park not really fun to go on school days long lines. Will be here this weekend. Does the park open at 9:00am this week? -

How about developing the land left of the Renegade lift hill and use that land in the back of the park for the new roller coaster what ever that maybe but if there going to use that land there going to have to put up flood walls? Are we going to start seeing construction for the back of the park? They also need to add a new rest room maybe a sit down resturant for the back. Why not include the new B&M inverted coaster with the water park expansion for the back of the park for there 40th anniversary just a idea are we going to see a capital announcement this summer? For phase II of the water park how about a adult splash down sit bar like the one at Cedar Point? Maybe the should retire Excalibur for scrap and use that money either towards the water park expansion or a new roller coaster. Garyman6, Did you remember some of us asking you a while ago saying you might know what's coming next or the unknown captain. Did you finally spill the beans about the next expansion lol? In 2016? I like the rumors on what garyman6 said gets me excited for next year, are these rumors by park employees or everyone?
