  1. That seems like a strange clause to put in a lease. I am pretty sure this park has been seasonal since opening, so it must predate any current conflicts of interest with businesses. I also do not really see the practicality in giving a permanent establishment like this limited operating times, especially since being open in summer should bring in a good deal more traffic than winter. Also, if they were really not allowed to be open in the winter, it would probably still be a massive pain for them to negotiate with a California city to even open the park partway as they are doing now. It hasn't always been seasonal. It was opened year round at opening but Marriott made it seasonal after 1 year
  2. Only been on the 3 in California, 3. Batman SFMM-Kind of forceless and weird. Zero G roll doesn't whip hard enough. 2. Silver Bullet-Weirdest coaster I've ridden, first drop is spectacularly awful, but the ride is fantastic once you get past the cobra roll. 1. Flight Deck CGA-One of the most intense coasters in California, such a forceful drop and inversions. I gray out regularly
  3. With all due respect, should we even have to say that RMC I-box transformations are NOT wooden coasters anymore? Topper track, yeah, given the nature of its track design. But the Iron Horse track is 100% steel, through-and-through. Supports don't mean jack-diddly-squat when it comes to "is it wood or steel". We really shouldn't. An I-Box track is, like you said, completely steel, which technically makes it a "Hybrid" Coaster, but everybody classifies them as steel coasters.
  4. The 4 man crew on Joker have seem to be busting their butts all summer. It's amazing how quickly they can get trains out, even with having to check the seatbelt then pull down the lap bar.
  5. I've only ridden 58 coasters, most of which are from the 4 major coaster parks in California (CGA, SFMM, KBF, SFDK). 1. Joker SFDK 2. Ghostrider KBF (After the Refurb) 3. Gold Striker CGA 4. Twisted Colossus SFMM 5. Xcelerator KBF 6. Tatsu SFMM 7. Flight Deck CGA 8. Silver Bullet KBF 9. Riddler's Revenge SFMM 10. V00per SFMM
  6. I rode it on the media preview, and you're right. The only thing is that you are a mental patient and go in for a test. That is literally the only time it mentions mental illness
  7. I'm kinda pissed about this, because this could end up being a dangerous precedent. They should shut down Insanitarium because it makes fun of insane people. They should shut down Toy Factory because not all Toy factories are murder dens. Sorority Slaughter should be shut down because there is no fraternity slaughter. Killer Clown Town should be shut down because many clowns do not murder people
  8. Welp, I'm happy I got on Fear VR while it lasted. It'll be sad if they don't bring this back any time soon.
  9. LOL I know the person who made that layout on NoLimits as a prank to all the KD Fanboys.
  10. I'll be at the Media Preview for Haunt this Friday too. Looking forward to the VR. Did anybody else hear how crazy the VR is supposed to be?
  11. Definitely: CGA and SFDK (Home Parks) KBF SFMM Possibly: Kentucky Kingdom Holiday World (Holiwood Nights) King's Island
  12. Personally, I count just to find out my milestone coasters (like the new Ghostrider at #50), but I won't take time that I could be riding an RMC to ride a kid coaster in Looney Tunes Seaport, or Ghostrider for the 14th time to ride Wilderness Run once. I don't even bother with kid coasters anymore, and the only ones I've ridden are when I was 5, and my count could be above 65 right now if I had ridden all 5 kiddie coasters at SFMM instead of riding Twisted again, or riding Cobra and Road Runner Express instead of The Joker for the 3rd time in a day. The one thing I will do is ride clones, but that really only applies to Scream/Medusa, and the two boomerangs in California.
  13. Vortex was actually open most of the day, and I got on the second to last train, only followed by those who won the social media contest
  14. Granted, but it would only be Amusement parks, so nothing like Cedar Fair or Six Flags Parks that classify as theme parks. I wish SFDK didn't have the 150 foot height limit
  15. Don't worry about it. The lines are virtually non existant on opening night. the only thing that had more than a walk on wait was Gold Striker, and that was a 2 train wait. It's one of the best times to go, except for fall weekends
  16. Right Move. This thread is starting to become a total mess
  17. Don't mean to burst your guy's bubble, but IMO, Hurler would be the worst RMC if they did in fact RMC it in future years, not next year, because they're not going to announce it this year
  18. I most likely will. Probably going to try and get on the last public train
  19. You guys should be happy if you get a Mass Effect quality ride. It is a Disney level dark ride, and is fun for everyone
  20. Trust me, my GP fans didn't even know that Discovery Kingdom existed until I told them
  21. First off, Firefall will be closed. You should hit Gold Striker first and last. That's when the lines will be the shortest. You should be fine getting on every coaster, just expect terrible operations on Grizzly. I find the best food is the chicken and the garlic fries, which you can find in the Food Court by Demon. There is only 1 tier of Fast Lane, so if you get it, it will only cost 60$. You shouldn't need it yet
  22. Yeah, I saw a bunch of that stuff on Tuesday too. They're also setting up some facades behind the first aid station
  23. CP: Water Park KI: GCI Woodie (already announced) CW: Snoopy Expansion KD: Mass Effect Carowinds and WOF: Vintage Flats KBF: Skyhawk style ride Dorney: Skyhawk CGA: Rougarou treatment on Vortex VF: Flats MIA: New trash can
