A 252 foot record breaking DIVE MACHINE isn't enough for one year??? This is aimed directly at you but this whole discussion is eye rolling because even how is a surely unique and awesome dive machine barely enough or not enough for one year. Especially since you have just gotten 1.5 coasters in the last three years. Not just the GP but i'm sure 99% of coaster enthusiasts would be more than satisfied with this. I know this is CP but this is still pretty ridiculous. -

I do think the back of the park is better fit for a flume and the front a new coaster. With the likely removal of Excalibur and the flume replacing Thunder Canyon (They would build the flume next to TC would they?) I think it would be a very isolated ride. I think the best solution is to make the tunnel between Renegade and TC part of the new flumes queue. It would give the new flume more space. Thoughts? -

At my home park (Valleyfair) if you leave the park in the middle of the day you can get a stamp on your hand that allows you to come into the park later without buying a second ticket. Does Cedar Point have this policy? -

That is a possibility. The arcade looked like one of the better places to have a haunt building, so I'm wondering if there will be any change in the future. That really is something to think about, I think you are on to something. -

Lazy river does not need to expand. The park has lots of other things to do, and since it is not an issue I don't think they'd bother with it even though it would be nice. I also don't think it is a priority to them because when they have short staff, it is one of the first things to close which shows it is not a big necessity at the park. As for the flyers, I feel it gets discussed on this thread way more than it should. It is a kiddy ride. If VF feels like they need it they can just install whenever they want. I can't imagine it being too expensive for the park, and while we are land locked (for now) there are many spots in the park that could be home to a small flat. Another thing I would like to say is that I don't think VF will get a dark ride for at least five years. Water park upgrades, park expansions, and a new coaster i'm pretty sure are further up in their priority list. That said, a dark ride could also go in the dinos spot once they leave. I do think that spot is far better for a coaster, i'm just pointing out a possibility. To ACES: I'm pretty sure they refurbished the carousel this past off season. I do agree with you that Enterprise NEEDS a paint-job, red would be good. -

SFFT has a Texas shaped wave pool. Would a Minnesota one work? Seems like a good shape. -

I see the parking lot mostly full on most nice weekends, and occasionally nice weekdays. -

Lol were you dropped on your head? MIA has the highest profit margins in the chain. They literally do nothing to the park and it gets more guest every year and continues to make more profits. Even when they were looking to sell a couple parks in 2008 they didnt put MIA up for sale. Dont be jaded because you dont like the recent additions to VF and you believe VF is due for a coaster. Alot of cedar fair parks are. VF needs a better water park. I bet you anything that is there current focus. .02 p.s MIA hasn't built a new attraction in 2 years, and just some larson flyers before that. With it being there 60th Anniversary this year, I dont think a small coaster is out the question at all. LOL, I knew YOU would have something to say about his post. MiA and VF aren't competing, idk why he would bring it up like that. Both parks are due for a coaster so it is not ridiculous at all for MIA to get a 2016 coaster, especially with all the evidence. About the parking lot coaster, I hope it they expand the park into that area they make it nicer than just a coaster over pavement. Maybe make a new midway where DA is now and have it feature a coaster, a flat and a store. Tear out the old pavement and plant grass. I feel like if they just built a coaster on the parking lot it would be weird and isolated from the park. Not too appealing either. Knowing this is Cedar Fair though, I think they know what they are doing. -

This makes me believe we will get more than a second parking lot in 2016. -

Ok, I've had this idea for a while. What if our invert did an inversion at the top of the lift hill like most wing coasters do? Like half a zero G roll. Then a vertical drop that goes back the way the lift hill came up. I bet that would be a really cool unique element and it would help the ride be more compact. Thoughts? EDIT: Page 500! I am surprised this thread is here this quickly but it is very active so I shouldn't be surprised. -

I suppose it's possible, though I do know that Dave Frazier, the general manager of VF has said that he will be pushing for a unique layout for our next coaster. -

Rides that develop long lines due to operations or low capacity. 1. Mad Mouse 2. Xtreme Swing 3. Power Tower 4. Renegade Some other rides do this but these rides are the worst at it. -

High Roller is a very good fit for the park, a good back bone for PS, and the park will not be removing it soon. Just wondering what coaster name could "defeat excalibur" like Hydra to Hercules? If VF wants a new family coaster I would love something like Cheetah Hunt. -

Good advice, the only unpreventable thing is the back ache from the water friction but it isn't too bad. I have closed my eyes all of the 5 times i have ridden, but do you get splashed in the eyes if you open them? -

C.P.A. Guy: We already on a waiting period 2007 Renegade was our last one were already going on eight years add five more years on top of that? I don't think people want to wait 13 years for a new roller coaster it's going to be my guess I'm hopeing for our 40th anniversary. I'm excited to here what's possibly coming to Valleyfair. Will there be another public hearing and what did the people say at the public hearing were they excited? I'm going to visit the park a lot this summer to see if there's anything going on. It's not like Cedar Fair is going to add a roller coaster to a park just because a certain amount of time period has gone by. From your train of thinking 2011 should have been a new coaster year. It's kind of funny because we did get a new coaster in 2011. -

The slides with the helixes are not painful at all. The trap door slides that go straight down are the most painful, they left my back sore for a day or two, but it wan't too bad. The blue ones are slightly painful, but not too bad.
