So.... Your getting a new parking lot then? -
For sentimental and preservative reasons, sure. For ride experience? Eh, Its replacement is regularly garnering a much bigger queue. They are definitely foreceful, the problems is the roughness and headbanging This. The forces tend to get lost in the roughness, though. Also T2 wasn't exactly a headbanger as much as it was something that just rattled your entire body around. very fun rides. The new trains should really help with headbanging. I have never been on the new kum trains so I cant say on the vibrations or jerking, but headbanging will be gone.

Having ridden both Renegade and Timbers alot, I would say Timbers is the best woodie in the chain. I think Prowler, gold striker and renegade are right in the mix though. Both the coaster line ups at both parks are very similar considering 86% of MIA coasters were built before cedar fair. Kind of funny Shivering Timbers - Wild Thing Wolverine Wildcat - Renegade Mad Mouse - Mad Mouse Corkscrew - Corkscrew Thunderhawk - Steel Venom Big Dipper - Cosmic Coaster Zach's Zoomer - high roller hyper gtx! - Exkiller had to throw that in lol -

I doubt that Cedar Fair would invest in another HUSS Giant Frisbee after the problems that maXair and Delirium have had. However, it would be nice if Valleyfair could receive a similar ride from another manufacturer. They have also had issues S&S screaming swings, Mondial Windseekers, Huss top spins, and the Vekoma suspended boomerangs. Which is sad because those are all good rides lol -
GCI: Are Their Days Over?

They could easily stay in business just retracking older coasters. What they have done with Timbers and Wildcat at MIA is amazing. Plus they make enjoyable coasters. Renegade is the best coaster at VF, and Gold Striker is prly the best at CGA -

I think a proslide tornado would be a great fit or a massive tube slide complex or a beachparty interactive play structure -
Loggers run isn't going anywhere. Its the most popular ride in the park. Its mechanically and structurally fine. Timbertown railway does have me scratching my head. You can see a new service tunnel where the new train is going to sit. The second train should help with operations of moving the people from one side of the park to another. The part that has me scratching my head is if they did want to make a path, how would they do it without moving the train? Also I know MIA has huge plots of land open for development, but if they do get a Hyper GTX where would it go? Parallel to Wildcat across the tracks? Behind grand rapids either to the east or the north?

If your staying at a CP hotel, then 2 days without FL should be fine -
Camp/Planet snoopy wouldn't fit in the old falling stars spot. If and when MIA gets a snoopy kids area it will most likely be by be bob blvd and Zach's Zoomer in there current kiddy area. Falling stars location is perfect for a disk-o or drop tower!!!! And lightning run may only be a 100 feet tall, but it really packs a punch. I would be thrilled to get one similar.

All that open land next to Timbers they own. I went to the park on Sunday may 24th. Rainy day. Everything was pretty much a walk on. Timbers and Wildcat were running smooth this year. The final helix on TImbers is the smoothest its been in years. I didn't notice any other real changes to the park. But it was clean and a fun day

What's your favorite Flat ride?
grsupercity replied to FlyingScooter's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Maybe it's just the simplicity. The swings are like a playground swing gone berzerk. It's just a simple back-and-forth, but it's great! Cedar Point has both ride types with MaXair and Skyhawk. I like MaXair a lot. It's fun. But Skyhawk is by far my favorite flat in the park. Skyhawk and Maxair are my two fav flats at Cedar Point. Skyhawk gives the stomach churning feeling thats great, but nothing can beat maxair. The forceful swinging with the light spinning is unbeatable. -
I remember in 1998 when Shivering Timbers hit the news and people from across the country flocked to Muskegon to ride the beast that towered over the parking lot. It was a gem in a small family owned park in a beach town. Looking at pictures online really reminds of those days. The old days when the park had no trees, no landscaping, nothing with fresh paint, and no buildings. It was a big parking lot with some rides and a water park. I know we like to hate on CedarFair for not throwing in some huge thrill rides into this park. But if you can remember into the old days it will open your eyes. Wildcat is rideable now. Everything is painted. The park has been landscaped. There are finally some nice shaded tree areas. The park is very clean and presentable now. Now the park is up to Cedar Fair standards, and now the time for growth. I honestly don't think the park was ready for the rumored Morgan hyper in 2001. Now the park is efficient and ready for today's tourist money. I am now fully expecting SOMETHING for the 2016 season. Lets make the 60th season a great one!

Only places I ever had issues with bugs was when I was in line for Magnum once and Mean streak once. Luckily they only had 2-3 train waits. Usually the bugs are never an issue. Seagulls on the other hand....
