I don't think I've seen a coaster that has faded that much. Natural wood to almost white, that is just weird.

I count, I will count pretty much anything that is on Coaster Counter or RCDB. I don't think that saying "I have been on 753 (completely made up number) coasters" makes you a "better enthusiast". I won't go out of my way to get on a kiddie coaster, like if I was at Cedar Point, I probably wouldn't go on Woodstock's Express. Will I ride a kiddie coaster? Maybe, it depends on what else is at the park. Will I count a kiddie coaster? Yes, it's a coaster, so it should be counted as a coaster. Same with alpine coasters, it's a coaster, so it counts. I won't count traveling coasters, though, it's just too difficult to keep track of them. The thing that I don't understand is why people think they need a high coaster count.

I really feel like all of them in general. I rode quite a few the last two years and they all have this brain hurting rattle and you can't just throw your arms up and have fun. Now, it is possible that I'm spoiled by the RMC and Intamin Woodies that give you all the awesomeness of a wooden coaster plus more and none of that brain jarring pain but I really believe the rides are getting rougher. Even Thunderhead which everyone loves was getting so rough I could only do one ride on it. KT rode at least five of them this year and only wanted to ride one more than once (Kentucky Rumbler). I got a minor headache on Renegade at the beginning of the season (I pretty sure that Renegade was just having a bad day), but the ride seemed to improve as the year went on. Maybe I was just getting used to it, but by the end of the season I was marathoning it for an hour +.

No, you really don't NEED it. Plenty of people have perfectly nice days there without spending close to twice what it cost to get in. I guess if you have the money and have nothing better to spend it on, go for it, but to some people (like me) that's a LOT of money, and I really don't think anybody should be made to feel like there's no point going if they're not going to spend over $100 a person. It's over $100 a person PLUS admission! If we think that Flash Pass is necessary, we would go with Gold because Platinum is REALLY expensive (even Gold is really expensive). I know that at Valleyfair, there is the Flying Cloud airport really close by (You can actually see it from many of the rides), and I believe that Wild Thing had to be approved and that Power Tower was forced to be shorter (I believe that it was supposed to be 300 feet, but it's actually 275 feet) because of the nearby airport. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on anything.

It looks like there will be two paths leading to the entrance to the park, one path that goes over the tunnel, and another path that goes under a couple turns.

I could see RMC making the first 2 turns of Mean Streak have outward banking, and that spot where Mean Streak goes over the lift hill they could make that an inversion. (NOTE: I don't actually think that Mean Streak will get Iron Horsed.) Is Mean Streak REALLY as rough as people make it out to be? I've heard people say "it's the roughest coaster ever" and I've heard people say that it was fairly smooth.

I see that you put track on top of the lift hill, how did you get the track to bend like that? I remember you were having trouble with that earlier. I'm really liking this project! So much of the stuff on this forum is virtual so it is interesting to see a real model.

Because in 2007 we got an amazing woodie that never gets old, and park management keeps forgetting to put in a new coaster because they are too busy marothining Renegade. Also, we DID get a kiddie coaster that was new to us in 2011. How do cats make such strange sounds?

I'm not sure if they are being sarcastic or not, but the people on Pointbuzz seem to think that the video Cedar Point posted earlier (Tony singing "The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year") is a hint to future expansion. Speakin of which, are there any rumors of what could take the place of Good Time Theatre? It was a really strange announcement (It seemed to come out of no where).

That's great! I didn't know that Skyline had any buyers for this. The concept looks like it has some wonderful potential, from what I saw at IAAPA. Has anyone from this site tried it out? I would love to hear how it is, just because it is an interesting concept.

Happy New Year everyone! (Well, it's actually 10:30 P.M. here, so it's not quite a new year for me yet) However, I think I'm missing something on the whole ball drop in New York. I really don't understand it, and the fact that thousands of people go to watch it boggles my mind.

Ok, I knew that this was going to be a strange element, but I just checked the webcam and they placed a giant support. It looks like after the strange banking, there will be a VERY steep drop. Also, I'm a big fan of the fact that I can see the webcam at night, on my home park's webcam you can't see ANYTHING once the sun sets. I don't normally post pictures of the webcam, but I thought it was necessary because of how weird it looks.
