  1. Coasterbill, I think you may have just killed me. I'm interested to see what "enhancements" they make to the GIB.
  2. The captions in this are fantastic. Looking forward to the footage!
  3. It wasn't a ride op, it was simply the other half of my party.
  4. Funny, I told the person I was riding that about the rumour that the ride could be replaced by a parking lot, and he said it was a better use of the land. I like (Read: Can tolerate) Excalibur, but I normally only want to do a ride or two when I'm at the park. Something to note, Excalibur's 2nd train was no where to be found.
  5. Wow, looks awesome! After seeing how well this turned out, I'm excited to see more!
  6. I was at the park today! Just got back home. We got there right when the park opened (We just missed early entry), and started the day off with double back seat rides on Renegade. Afterwards we went for a second-to-front ride. Went to Wild Thing, and then to Coasters for food (Sorry Chickie's). Followed by the worst ride on Excalibur I have ever experienced. It was just fantastically bad today (Strange, because it is normally quite smooth, for me anyway). Did Wild Thing a couple times and headed to Power Tower, where I met a fellow TPR member or "donkey enthusiast" (CaptainUnknown, I think). Good job, Power Tower crew, you were probably the only crew that was interesting this year, and didn't just read the script with no enthusiasm. "Am I going to die on this ride?" "Yes." Went on High Roller, Wild Thing, and finally Northern Lights when we had to leave. I forget when, but we snuck in a ride on the Bumper Cars, and WOW are they tame compared to other bumper cars. It was a pretty fun 4.5 hours at the park.
  7. You may be a coaster nerd if you immediately added that as a "Favorite quote(s)" when you read through the patent. Guilty.
  8. Ride Steel Venom first since it will be the only coaster open for early entry. Once the rest of the park opens, go straight to Mad Mouse since it can get long lines due to bad capacity. After that, feel free to hit the rest of the rides at your leisure (although I'd ride Renegade earlier in the day too). Most of the food is your typical amusement park fare, although Chickie's and Pete's is pretty good. Oh, forgot about Mad Mouse. And Renegade is an awesome night ride if you are there for it. I don't know how I haven't been to Chickie's and Pete's yet, I may have to go there on my next visit to see what it is all about.
  9. Valleyfair isn't really a place where you need to plan out your trip, on a weekday at least (I haven't been there on a busy weekend before). Just know that Renegade will be you longest wait, and it will usually be 15-30 minutes. Sometimes High Roller gets a line, but the line usually starts just outside of the station (Just the ramp, on most cases, although I have seen it have a pretty decent line (Most of the swithbacks). For food, we usually go to either Coasters Drive-In or the Burrito/Quesadilla place over by Extreme Swing. Speaking of Extreme Swing, make sure you ride Extreme Swing, because S&S Screamin Swings are awesome!
  10. Goliath at SFGAm would look awesome. Looking great! Excited to see more!
  11. It's currently Sunny and 79! We are heading on vacation tomorrow (Not a park trip) and the weather is looking to have highs between 74 and 66 throught the week, with partly cloudy skies. Perfect for hiking!
  12. This is good advice, I made the mistake of going to the food court by X-Flight on my visit to the park. I did get a very good barbeque sandwich out of it, though.
  13. Paula must be very satisfied that she has successfully driven enthusiasts insane. She's particularly good at that.
  14. Holy crap. That looks absolutly insane.
  15. Just wondering, why do some parks not allow snapping?
  16. Maybe this is the way to go? Just give it a couple months and see what happens. Maybe? I am torn, as well, because I've seen some of the terrible people on that site, and I don't want those terrible people to spread to other platforms. But I guess that if that happened you could just remove them from the platforms they decide to join. I voted no, but if it's free, might as well see what happens, right?
  17. Most of the ones who have made themselves known on Reddit would already be pre-banned before the sub ever opened. So we have that going for us. And I think we would cater to a more "casual" theme park fan than the die-hards on the subreddits that already exist. This just made the idea way more appealing.
  18. I'm really not a big fan of Reddit, mainly because there are tons of awful people. I don't think it is neccessary to have one because you already have this incredible forum. With that said, if you made one, I would sign up and support it. Maybe you could make one and do a public service by banning all the obnoxious people! I guess I'm sorta indifferent.
  19. The ride in that video actually looked fun! And I agree with Ape, that would be an awesome transportation ride.
  20. Get an all day ride wrist band but be sure to stop at a subway restaurant first. They have coupons for $7 off a wrist band. Those coupons are not in the MOA Subways, though.
