  1. I do go to parks less in the Winter, because I only get a season pass for Valleyfair, which closes. I do try and get to Nickelodeon a couple times during the Winter to get on some coasters, and I also try and get to the alpine coaster in Duluth in the winter. Contrary to popular belief, the off-season isn't too bad here in Minnesota.
  2. Top Thrill once. I haven't heard many good things about Kingda Ka. Would you rather eat a pancake or a waffle?
  3. //Fires up Nolimits// Time to start working on this!
  4. Nope. Probably won't be getting one for a long time, there isn't enough content for them, and we got a new Smart TV in the last year. 4K. You don't see any content for 3-D TV's, at least 4K shows some promise.
  5. I thought Renegade was running pretty smooth minus the last turn, last weekend. I thought that Enterprise received LED's last year, but I am not entirely sure. All I know is that I heard a couple people say that Enterprise looked really good at night, this year.
  6. I might have also seen you. What were you wearing? Club TPR shirt and a red sweatshirt, it was on Sunday. Have fun at Cedar Point next year!
  7. I was at the park on Halloween and on closing day, and had a great time! I met up with Renegade Mike, and his grand total for the season was 1,924 rides on Renegade, which is pretty darn impressive. I think I also saw Captain Unknown over the weekend at Power Tower, but I can't be sure. On Halloween, we got Fast Lane passes because of the season pass renewal deal, and really enjoyed that system, but the operators need to watch how many people they are letting into the station. There was a three train wait for any row on Renegade in the station at some times, and that should never happen. I couldn't walk from the Fast Lane entrance to the other rows because there were too many people in the station (This did result in a front seat ride, so this problem worked in my favor, I guess). Also, this Halloween was the first time I've ever been to a Haunt event at night. I love the lighting, the fog, the insane night rides, everything was awesome. I got scared three times, which means that the Haunt crew was really good because I avoided all scare zones other than the Trail's End, and I only went through there because there was no other way to get to Renegade. I was scared once by a guy with a chainsaw over by Mad Mouse, and then twice by the guy with sparks on his hands and feet (He slid towards us once, and then he hit a trash can when we walked past him and I jumped). Another thing I thought was pretty cool, The Chateau tour. I was pretty impressed with all of the stuff they had in there, and I couldn't imagine being in there at night. Closing day was fantastic. There was almost no one there and I got a bunch of rides on Renegade (Most of which occured at night!). This weekend, I was really wondering about why people wouldn't want to renew their passes next year. Yes, they haven't been adding what we wish they would, but the fact is that it is still a good park that has a lot of fun rides! I know that I miss the park already, and really can't imagine what it would be like without the ability to go to the park all year. Well, today is the last day to get the season pass for the lowest price, so if you don't have one yet, get it tonight! Until then, I will await opening day 2016. Does anyone know what day that is, or has the park not released this yet?
  8. Well, I hope you all had a good Back to the Future day! Now all of the Back to the Future movies have taken place in the past.
  9. Wow! That's really twisty! This really looks like one of the best coasters out there. I'm excited to see more progress.
  10. MEA (Minnesota Educator Academy) Weekend. A lot of kids have that day off of school, because some teachers are attending the conference.
  11. 2. Most locals would hate to see the original theme replaced by a nick IP. Remember the reaction to the hinted Barnyard re-theme? That attraction holds a special place in the hearts of most Minnesotans, and hopefully will remain untouched for the forseeable future. Agreed, don't touch the Log Chute! Really, I love the Paul Bunyan theming, and I would hate to have anything done to it.
  12. Oh yeah Tony probably stepped over the line here. There's absolutely no place for light hearted fun within a community that literally visits f**king amusement / "fun" parks all the time. This is serious business. Stop having fun, it's pissing us off. ... anyway in all seriousness I was incredibly entertained. Tony Clark is the man. Keep up the good work.
  13. I don't recall EVER seeing someone call Storm Chaser either of those. All four of the 2016 RMC's look fantastic in their own way! This one was heavily criticized when it was first announced. I don't know why, but it was. It's looking awesome, and I can't wait to see what that barrel roll first drop looks like.
  14. Great report, Yin! I never realized how weird this transition between the double corkscrew and the downward curve (Where the train is in the picture). It looks really painful.
  15. Yep, follow TPR on Facebook and Twitter, and if they say "There will be prizes", there WILL be prizes! Just participate in the contests, and you'll probably win at one point or another!

  19. Looks pretty good. For the pullout of the first drop/lead in for the 2nd climb, it could use some smoothing out. Also, make sure the lift hill is straight (Select the points, and hit the "Make Straight" button).
  20. It may be due to the fact that I'm currently a long way away from sober but this post made me literally laugh out loud. "It may be due to the fact that I'm currently a long way away from sober"
  21. Superman Ultimate Flight at SFGAm. I must have waited nearly 2 hours for that stupid thing. It wasn't worth it.
  22. Those 20 foot streams of water coming out the back will look fantastic. I'd love to see this built somewhere. Ohhhh boy, I've got some bad news for you, buddy.
  23. I like how it says "Do not operate" when the thing is in pieces.
  24. Oh my gosh, that's terrible!
  25. Just wondering, is there a way to navigate the park without walking through a scare-zone? I'd love to get some night rides in on Renegade and Wild Thing, using the free Fast Lane from re-newing a pass.
