The only RMC to date that uses steel wheels is Outlaw Run, for some reason SFGAM decided to use nylon and poly wheels on Goliath. RMC won't run steel wheels on steel track for more reasons than one.

Trust me I only live 2 hours from Carowinds so since Fury was announced all I have heard about it is, "I can't wait to ride the tallest coaster in the world, it is even bigger than the Intimidator!"

You mean like RMC just did on Timber Wolf? GCI worked on Timber Wolf, from what I've heard. And they didn't actually change the layout, they are just re-tracking it. I believe that Firechaser meant do an Iron Horse conversion, but instead of using I-box track, use topper track. I'm sure that RMC would do that if a park wanted them to, I just don't think that a park would choose to do that. Yea that is what I meant, It would be interesting if they did do it though.

^^I wonder if RMC would be willing to use topper track on a transformation? That way Cedar Point would have a great wooden coaster for the price of a hybrid transformation.

The only new coaster for me in 2016 will be Shot Road/ Lightning Rod. So I would probably rank that my most anticipated. Though, I am looking forward to RMC Twins and Valravn.

You didn't walk around the WWII memorial that is my favorite! I also have a story about the statue of President Roosevelt in the wheelchair. When I went at the end of March there was a girl that was in a wheelchair sitting right beside the statue of the President. It is hard to describe but it was one of the best feel good moments that I have ever seen.

I always thought that the reason Psyclone was so rough was due to damage from an Earthquake.

I don't really know why Cedar Fair would renamed Carowinds' Top Gun coaster to "Afterburn" and the other Top Gun coaster to "Flight Deck", why couldn't Cedar Fair rename all of the Top Gun coasters "Afterburn"? Apparently there was a major uproar in the Carowinds fan base about it being called "Flight Deck" so it was given the name of "Afterburn" instead.

^^Ed Hart was never going to use the name Twisted Sisters. He sold the park to Six Flags before it opened and they named it Twisted Sisters.

Come on Johnyrct3 I have seen you on here all that we have left is 5 more years! Please finish them.

Thunder Road is not going to be removed! Mike Fehnel has said that it is not being taken out and if you don't believe him then who can you believe from the park. ^Thunder Road is in North and South Carolina just not in the way that you would imagine just look on google maps and you will see what I am talking about.

I don't know if you have a Dollywood Season Pass but one neat perk that never really gets mentioned is that it gets you 50% off admission to Silver Dollar City. If you don't have Dollywood on your travel list this year you might want to add it.

^^We live right on the North Carolina, Virginia boarder and it would be a family road trip. When I looked on Google it looked like most of the driving would be getting to Louisville and Going from Cincinnati to Cedar Point. Also in what order would you recommend to do the parks?

I was wondering would anyone recommend this as a viable road trip option?

They are making a new Power Rangers movie next year.
