  1. The double-up on Boulder Dash. That quick 1-2 punch of air pulled a sound of joy from me that I didn't know I was capable of making.
  2. ^ I agree, it definitely sounds more fitting for a flat. And if the rumours are true, GAdv isn't getting a flat next year. Also agree that it's an awful name.
  3. Like someone mentioned the other day, the trademark was filed by Six Flags corporate, not Great Adventure. No indication that it will be used in GAdv, no need to get ridiculously hyperbolic.
  4. The most forceful moment I ever had on a coaster was going through the loop backwards on Montezooma's Revenge. I had my hands up coming down from the spike, but the forces at the top of the inversion threw my hands down into my lap. That was a very pleasant surprise.
  5. Ok, my final guess: indoor spinner themed to fears, similar to Laff Trakk.
  6. QFT. If you're near a Waffle House at any time during this trip, and you most likely will be, you owe it to yourself to stop at one.
  7. Phobias, and, more specifically, arachnaphobia? Perhaps it's a tease for something new in their haunt.
  8. ^ I agree. Sure, it will definitely be cool for the new experience, but if it's very intense I don't see it drawing a huge crowd after the first week or so. The more I think about it, the less excited I am for it. No regular B:TR until Fright Fest is lame.
  9. Headed to the park tomorrow. Hoping that the fact it's the day before the holiday weekend that it shouldn't be too crowded, but am wondering if I'm wrong with this thought process. EDIT: Nevermind, not going. One of my buddies bailed last minute. Another day, Wicked Cyclone, another day...
  10. Curious as to what this addition could be. The early announcement date makes me think they want to start construction early, so perhaps are semi-large coaster of some sort? A Zierer similar to Impulse would be a nice fit at the park IMO.
  11. There's only one train for now. Like I stated, the other one is still in Georgia. I'm sure it will be on its way soon, if it isn't already in transit.
  12. There are two, the other is still in Georgia. And I remember someone mentioning back when Namtab was first announced that they can't run one forward and one backwards, but I don't recall the specific reason as to why.
  13. Keeping it backwards would be a terrible idea. Although I'm excited to try Namtab, I feel I might only ride it a couple of times just to say I did. I have to agree with Bill, normal B:TR certainly isn't broke; they don't need to tinker with it beyond the couple of months they currently are.
  14. Yea, count me amongst those who can't wait to ride this. And, I just noticed in the weekly e-mail the park sends out that there will be passholder ERT for Namtab on July 7 from 2-close.
  15. I mean, I think it's pretty apparent GAdv is indeed getting the S&S Free Spin for 2016, but nothing is "confirmed" by any stretch. It seems like this year people can't just speculate. Instead, they'd rather make fake press releases and say they spoke to park management to claim that they know with 100% certainty what the new addition is. It's getting pretty ridiculous.
  16. That's as much a confirmation as me saying it. Just because someone claims to have spoken to the Park President doesn't make it true.
  17. FWIW, I checked the weather before (because I was contemplating visiting this week as well) and the forecast I saw wasn't calling for rain on Thursday.
  18. It shouldn't be too crowded, but schools throughout the region are now out for the year so it really is a crap shoot. If I were you I would just go on Wednesday anyway because even if there is a torrential downpour, everything except KK remains open (unless there is indeed lightning in the area). An added bonus is that even the appearance of rain keeps the majority of potential park-goers at home. Unless you really, really want to get on Ka.
  19. Was at the park yesterday. Learned from the employee manning the gate at Batman that the park will be having a season pass preview for Namtab on July 1.
  20. Can't speak for the two parks out West, but no, Great Adventure does not have a cab stand.
  21. Ah, gotcha. I blanked out for a second and misread your post. Sounded like Friday would be the last day. Oh well, this just heightens the anticipation for Namtab; it's gonna be something wild.
  22. Anyone know when they're closing Batman to begin the conversion to Namtab? I'm headed to the park Friday, and was hoping I could get one more normal ride in before they reverse the train.
  23. There is definitely air on Ka's top hat. It isn't overwhelming, but you can certainly feel it.
  24. The perfect roller coaster already exists. It's name is El Toro, and I thank the fates every night that it resides within my home park.
